Steve was easy to deal with and helped inform me about different options for foams, fabrics, and techniques I could choose from. I'd be happy to hire him again.

The owner explained that he was very busy and it might take a few weeks before he could get working on my things. I very nicely said that would be fine and that I wasn't in a rush for them and that he could take his time. A few weeks later I received a phone call saying my items were finished, this was a Friday afternoon. The very next day on Saturday morning I called and got the voice mail which is constant with this place. I left a message stating I could pick up my things any time that day. I didn't hear back so I tried calling several more times and finally gave up. I have 2 jobs so trying to do things during the week is hard for me. So I figured I'd try and stop by his shop the following Saturday but before I had a chance to,during that same week I received the nastiest phone call I'd ever received by someone I did business with I'd only met once, now mind you it was pouring rain that day and I was just leaving for work when he calls and demands I come get my items and was screaming at me that I couldn't leave them at his shop any longer! I was so shocked at his outburst and rudeness I didn't know what to say and he demands I come get my things and give him his money that I owe him and then he hung up on me! My husband saw how upset I was and when I told him what happened he was fuming and said Call that jerk back and tell him I'll be there in 10 minutes and he better have your things ready ,let's see if he has anything to say to me! My husband said when he saw me get out of the car he was as nice as pie! That was my first and thank God my last experience with this buisness! And he was VERY expensive as well. I had a couple of wicker baskets and 2 tiny end tables and it cost me almost five hundred dollars! He lost out on a good returning customer as I had bigger pieces that I took elsewhere including a dining room table.

Their craftsmanship and design expertise have always been exceptional -- no question there. Earlier this year, while cleaning out my home office files, I came across documentation from a project dating back six years -- one that had never been fulfilled. To be completely transparent, I had forgotten about it until now. I reached out to request a $200 refund for the uncompleted work. Despite providing clear documentation and context, my request was handled dismissively. It's disappointing that after years of loyal business, The Drapery House refused to honor such a simple, good-faith request. It makes it clear they do not value long-term customers. It's also worth noting that The Drapery House is not BBB accredited, which may help explain the lack of accountability we experienced. It's a shame when a company known for quality undermines its reputation over something so small. I'd be glad to share the full email correspondence with The Drapery House to anyone interested in understanding the experience in detail.

We were looking to have our dining room chairs reupholstered because we were seeing flaking on the…read morecushions. The material was some sort of faux leather and wanted to replace it with fabric. After doing some research and speaking with a few companies, we decided to choose Masterson. Ron and Scott were so easy to work with and took what was an overwhelming process and made it so easy. Scott pulled many sample books and spent time talking to us to best understand what colors and designs we were interested in. He answered all of our questions and really took the time to understand what we were looking for. We dropped off the cushions in early May and from the very beginning, told us not to focus on price choose what we liked, and he would be happy to work with us on price. As you can imagine, looking at so many colors and designs can be quite overwhelming and Scott was extremely professional and helped by offering suggestions based on the information we gave him. After sometime, walking around the showroom and looking at many books, my husband and I chose d the fabric that we liked the best. Scott worked his magic and made some phone calls however, found out that the print we had chosen had been discontinued. Back to the drawing board, we went with Scott by our side, helping us along the way. After a couple of hours, we couldn't keep colors and patterns straight anymore so Scott offered to let us bring home some samples and decide what we liked in our home against our furnishings. Within a few hours of getting home we chose the fabric that was perfect for us! We called Scott the next morning and asked him to please place the order. When we arrived at the showroom to return the sample we had borrowed, we told Scott there was an event at our house in three weeks and asked him if it was possible to have the cushions finished by then. Scott was very upfront and told us he would do his best but could not make any promises as he had some clients before us. A couple of days before the date of our event, we spoke with Scott and he told us he would have the cushions ready for us by the end of the week. We were over the moon with joy! , Not only had Scott given us a very reasonable price for the reupholstering of the cushions, he was able to return them finished to us by the time that we had hoped. We cannot say enough great things about Masterson or Scott and his brother Ron. Masterson takes the time to understand what you are looking for and go above and beyond to help you sift through the tremendous amount of options available at their showroom. They are professional, fairly priced, and in our opinion, take the time to really understand what their client is looking for. If you find yourself looking to have a piece of furniture reupholstered, consider Scott and Ron at Masterson's upholstery. Masterson did a great job for us and they will do the same for you. Give them a call at 1-508-761-6700. You will be glad you did!
