Every business takes cash as payment, but she couldn't figure out how to use the register. Was NASTY and RUDE the whole time I was there and spooked the other girl, so my procedure was messed up. I had to get it redone. This receptionist gets up from behind her desk and physically pushed me out a door I was leaving. She also became profane and I was scared she was going to get violent so I left. IDK how this person has a job. They knew I had just lost my mother, yet she became quite unhinged and sent the police to my house where we are grieving, instead of just sending a letter discharging me as a patient. I decided not to press charges. Management did not offer any compensation for my messed up procedure.

When I arrived, I was told that the woman that would be helping me had a headache and wouldn't be able to see me. I explained how I had to leave work early to be on time for my appointment and they told me they were sorry but there was nothing they would do to help me. Knowing that I was coming from so far away, you would think they would call to cancel the appointment, but that was not the case. They then scheduled another appointment, and expected me once again to use my limited vacation time to get to the appointment. I will not be returning.

I was also very displeased about my salon experience here, luckily it wasn't too expensive, but I had never had to come back the next day for my hair to be fixed. I also had so many things wrong with my hair, I just got it done, but it's different colors all the way through, fried, not what I asked for, spots were missed when applying lightener, and some parts of my head are lighter than others, and I wasn't told that what I asked for was unrealistic for their skill level. I hate to leave a bad review because they were very nice to me, accommodating and all but the level of skill seemed to lack significantly, maybe lack of experience but I was shocked honestly, my hair only looked good the day I walked out, after the first rinse though, with me following all instructions, it started to look bad, it seems like I did it myself, like an at-home dye job... how sad when I expected salon quality. I know this is perhaps a place some may not regard as a reputable salon, but I've been getting my hair done at other Ulta locations for over a year now, and I've never had a complaint! I've met great stylists. I'm embarrassed to say I even paid for my hair to be "done" it looks worse than what I started with! So much for growing it out and wanting a change. I might have to chop it all off and hope for the best at this point, and no products can save my hair. Everyone starts somewhere as a stylist, and I'm sure for this area, this work was exemplary! I'm sure it wasn't the stylist's intention/fault necessarily. Still, I've had stylists tell me what I want is not achievable in one session, or for their skill level or my expectations are unrealistic before touching my head, I've been told that if I choose to do certain things that it will destroy my hair, I've been told that the color isn't going to turn out the way I want it to... etc., but my issue is that I was told they were comfortable with giving me what I asked for through a photo example, said that it might be slightly different, then given something very different, work was also patchy, sorry but no amount of kindness is going to make up for that and also I was never told I should go to multiple sessions to achieve my desired look... After being so overwhelmed that as soon as it looked decent, I just left and was satisfied, but honestly, I don't think it's fair to pay for something you didn't even want... hope no one takes this personally.

If you or someone you know has a current cosmetology license you can get about 1/2 off retail prices on great products. There is a huge offering of hair care, hair color, nail polish and products along with some beauty items like face masks, body lotion and skincare. Products you love are also available in gallon jugs or much larger sizes because this store caters to hair salons. The clearance section offers extra discounts, I like trying new stuff from this section because it's such a good deal. This is a great time to find holiday gift sets which offered more savings. This was my first time there in awhile and I was happy to see Murad skincare and Olaplex. This location was clean and well stocked. The staff was helpful and wearing masks. I got the general feeling that this store was outdated. I haven't been to Sally Beauty in years and remember going in other places in the 90's and early 2000's and seems like the overall look and style hasn't changed. Due to lack of selection and how small the space is, unless you have specific hair needs and can't find your stuff at Walmart for example, I don't see why you'd come here.

Asked in an annoyed voice, "What now?" I repeated my question. She pointed down the aisle and said she couldn't leave the drawer to show me where the product was. Once she was done her task she helped someone else and was polite when I checked out. Pretty good supply of items but I ended up getting a pump spray because I couldn't find the aerosol version due to poor customer service. If you can't be to work on time to count the drawer before opening, don't give your customers an attitude.
