That Friday, his crew showed up, got to work immediately, and they were very nice. Ernesto was nowhere to be found. His crew decided to use wood dividers instead of the metal ones we had agreed to. When they were done, the supervisor collected the money - all of it - with the understanding the job was not complete and they'd return the next day to take the forms off. Ernesto finally showed up late, many hours after the crew had left and the cement had set. We asked when the metal dividers would be put in. He said it was too late, the crew messed up, and he HIMSELF would return on Monday to power wash everything, clean up all of the messy cement, and stain the wood nicely. It's been two weeks. We've texted and called Ernesto several times. NOTHING. We're now left with a messed up patio in front of our house.

The quality of the workmanship in the installation was excellent. The materials are high-quality and look great. It was more expensive than a wood fence, but not when replacement costs for rotting wood are taken into account. We paid approximately $7,000 for this fence, not including the additional payment processing surcharge of around $200 they charged before and after the job. Based on my experience with the quality of the materials, the lack of follow-up, and the customer service, I would not recommend Fence King. Dan, Your response is inconsistent with what we were promised. We specifically requested that our fence match our neighbor's fence, and we were assured that is exactly what we would receive. The fact that our fence looks years older and is already showing signs of rot while our neighbor's fence is not is unacceptable. We paid our balance in full because we believed we had received the quality fence we paid for. It wasn't until the wood began discoloring, deteriorating, and showing signs of premature decay that we realized there was a serious problem. We contacted your company as soon as these issues became apparent and were assured that someone would come out, inspect the fence, and replace any defective boards. Those promises were never fulfilled. You stated that someone came out to inspect the fence. We have security cameras covering our entire property, so please provide the exact date and approximate time of that visit so we can verify it. To our knowledge, no one has ever come to inspect the fence. You also stated that multiple calls were made to my wife and me. Please provide the dates, times, and phone numbers used. Neither of us has any missed calls or voicemails from your company regarding this matter. The fence was installed in early 2025, cost approximately $7,000, and is already experiencing rotting boards, loose pickets, and a level of deterioration that should not occur in such a short period of time. That is not the quality of workmanship or materials we paid for. If your company is unwilling to honor its commitments and correct these issues, I will pursue every available legal and consumer avenue to hold your company accountable. And they were very affordable. They replaced two sections of our driveway that had broken up over the decades. The older gentleman was an absolute artist with the wet cement! They also repointed some brickwork, and were very, very precise and careful about keeping excess mortar off of other parts of our house. We will absolutely, without a doubt, use them again and again. I found pieces of wood with nails sticking straight up left in my backyard. A couple of days later we had a rain and I had piles of nails all over my yard where it appears that they threw the nails in my gutter and they washed out with the rain. They should have run water through my gutters to get all of those nails out and picked up. I have grandchildren and pups that could have easily stepped on the nails. Poor cleanup and supervision of the work.
