This morning I took "Roxanne," my new Honda CRV Hybrid in to get paint protection film (ppf) on the front bumper, headlights, front emblem, area behind the door handles and fuel filler door. I just purchased a new 2025 Tesla X and wanted to get tint and PPF. Tesla online now has in its purchase process an option to select XPEL install, with Ultimate Shield listed as an authorized installer. Background: I am a previous 2016 Tesla X owner (first generation) and brought my car to Sean and Ultimate shield back then for full frontal PPF (bumper, hood, front fenders, side mirrors), as well as some interior stuff. He was recommended to me by work colleagues as well as by a close car-enthusiast friend. His job back then was highest quality which held up as long as I had my 2016 X... 9 years! Fast forward to 2025, the AC in my 2016 X died, and after multiple attempts at repair, I decided to get a new X. Getting tint and PPF again from Ultimate Shield was a no-brainer. Sean uses quality films, and although many places may offer the same, it all comes down to the quality of the install. The fact that Tesla will also offer their services is another testament to the quality work of Ultimate Shield. I went with XR+ tint for maximum heat rejection on all windows. I feel this is extra important in an EV as any excess energy use ultimately decreases range/time between charging. Tint and front PPF requires 2 days to get it all done. Got delivery of my car Wednesday, scheduled an appt for Thursday, and my car was ready as promised Friday evening! Joseph was super helpful and accommodating for scheduling. He answered all questions thoroughly and was able to anticipate additional questions. He provided a link to a quick video on how to get to Ultimate Shield. Also provided as many updates on progress as I requested (I tried not to pester too much). Also lots of payment options, which is much appreciated. Upon completion of the install, Joseph walked me through all aspects of the install, and pointed out areas where they noticed some things that I didn't when receiving the car. Again, the quality of their work and attention to detail is outstanding. BONUS! They added some extra PPF to parts of the car that will see use/abuse from spare PPF, AND you get an after care goodie bag (like at the dentist!). I also have a 2018 Tesla Model 3 as a commuter car, and for that I went with a cheaper option with another installer. It was an adequate job. But you get what you pay for. The edges of some of panels are lifting up, the relief cuts not as clean, even, or symmetric. But every time I washed and waxed my cars, I could see the difference in workmanship between Ultimate Shield and the other place. Nearly 10 years after Ultimate Shield did their stuff, it was still holding up well! TLDR: Ultimate Shield does highest quality work with excellent films. I'm very picky when it comes to PPF paint protection film. You can call it OCD picky. All my cars get full ppf over the last 20 years. Most were "okay." But I never felt it was as good as it could be. I have had to opportunity to compare a lot of PPF installs at cars and coffee events. It's something I do as you just stand there looking at cars in a parking lot. lol I've also visited many shops to see their work. This place was recommended to me by someone I respect very much in the automotive industry, so I decided to give them a try. My friend didn't disappoint with his recommendation. Yesterday, I dropped by to inspect the final work that was done on my car. It was truly the best install I have EVER seen. No cutting the corners 1/4" or even 1/8" (The ppf was to the corners.). No jagged edges from a dull blade. No gaps in coverage. No cheap off brand film that the installer gets extra discounts using. No opps hope the client won't notice shenanigans. No overstretched PPF which distorts the film and looks terrible in certain reflections. No weird seam lines at odd locations. Just top notch install where you can tell they took their time and didn't cut corners to save film. There is another place a couple hours away that I used that comes very close to the top tier work done by Sean at Ultimate Shield, but Sean's work is a bit better. Prices are similar. In conclusion, I'm very happy with the quality of work they did and will definitely be recommend them to all my friends. They will be my go to shop going forward. read more

Ok first off... If you're not willing to shell out a little extra for this place, then go elsewhere. But let me tell you, it is worth every penny. First off, requested a quote on yelp and they responded promptly. They were able to schedule me in less than a week and said it'd take 6 hours to finish. The other place I called said it'd take 2-3 days to finish! I believe I texted back and forth with Joseph and he was very helpful and educating with the process. I wanted the front bumper PPF'd and was considering the grille. Joseph, who looked over my car when I brought it in, offered a discount for the grille. I couldn't say 'no.' THEN... I told him I didn't want the parts of the grille (the "eyelash" garnishes above the headlights in the picture) because they were pitted and chipped from driving the car for 6 years. Well .... When I came to pick up the car, Joseph told me they had some spare matte wrap and wrapped the grille garnesh, no charge. And the color match is perfect. Looks brand new! Honestly, I was so blown away by all that they did for me. Lastly, as a farewell gift, they gave me some quick detailer and a microfiber towel. I was actually doing some Amazon research for detailers to have in the back of my car when I get bird poop on it. The quality of the PPF wrap seems legit. I can't even tell it's there. I guess time may tell, but I honestly doubt I'll have any issues and it comes with a 10 year warranty. Only "cons" I can think of is the the entrance to the shop is a little tricky to find, BUT they send you a YouTube video explaining how to get there. The waiting room is nice and very professional looking, but it is a tad small. I'd recommend getting a ride home if you can. No points deducted for either of these minor details. Had my card wrapped (PPF Stealth), ceramic coated and front windshield tinted. Sean (owner) and Joseph were super helpful and patient during the intake process. My initial thought was to go with the matte look but Sean must have sensed I was not 100% confident with my decision so he actually placed a sample wrap on my car so I can see how the matte finish looks before I commit. I loved it and stuck with my decision to go with the satin/matte finish. You can tell by the cleanliness of the shop and the people working there that this is a business that prides itself on quality and service. I only asked about pricing from one other shop before visiting Ultimate Shield and decided this was the place I am going to entrust my car. The cost was slightly higher than the other quote I got but it's hard to compare since they use different films and I get a sense the workmanship at Ultimate Shield was far superior so I am more than happy with my decision.
