We brought our seventeen year old papillon for two days last weekend to Karla's Pet Rendezvous. Our first impression was great. They were very friendly and they said they were waiting for us. Someone took our dog right away and said she would be with her. The woman at the desk received our dog's bag and started taking notes of everything we needed with respect to feeding our dog. We gave her a new bag of very special food and explained how to serve it. We told her also that we left a can of food, only in case of need. She was saying yes to everything. I wonder if she actually wrote it down. Two days later we returned for our dog. We were very concerned to find out if she ate well. She usually doesn't eat well when we are not around and that's why we brought in the special food. To our surprise, they said she ate well. We also asked if she was taken out to the bathroom recently. She said about an hour ago. Our dog was crying from the moment she saw us, which was also unusual but we thought she really missed us. We left, thinking everything was fine. We took her outside and she peed immediately for a long time. She doesn't do this unless she hasn't been out for hours. I was already disappointed but I didn't say anything and left. Our dog kept crying in the car, which it's also strange. I gave her a treat and she devoured it. And wanted more. I told my husband, our dog seems very hungry which it's very unusual since it was about 3 in the afternoon and she doesn't eat dinner until after 6. We stopped to feed her. The first thing we found was the bag of the special foods that was not even open. We served it immediately and our dog was really starving. They didn't even opened it! We found the can food that was open and they used only a little bit. We were so upset. Our dog ate and stopped crying. The next day I called the pet boarding place and they dismissed me. They said it was an accident. I felt really bad to have left my dog in such bad care. I do not recommend this place at all.

My dog has significant reactivity which makes it hard to find sitters sometimes. Hannah is able to give him his own room in her house with a separate door to enter/exit so he feels safe and comfortable. She talked to me at length about my dogs needs and wants to make sure she can give him the best care. Highly recommend!

Workers are bent over backwards for this company. They allow their workers to overheat so much they go into heat stroke, they are very unprofessional. The manger sits in her house all day and does absolutely nothing, they make the workers clean her house for her and tell us it's our responsibility. They allow dogs to bite the workers. They do not check the dogs out good enough after a dog fight. I would not recommend sending your dog here. The hard workers are amazing and love the dogs but higher management does not care

Moki is 11 now and suffers from arthritis, but still loves to be super active and get out and play. I was away out of town for one long weekend with my boyfriend and we asked Brandy to take Moki for a hilly hike and I couldn't have asked for better care. Brandy was meticulous making sure she had all of Moki's essentials before they left. She put together a little care package with water, snacks, poop bags, leash and of course Moki's favorite ball. Brandy was also very careful about what type of meds Moki might need in case she was sore when she came back and we discussed Moki's favorite way to take her meds too. You could really tell Brandy had lots of prior experience as a Vet Tech the way she was so systematic about it all. However, the special bond Brandy formed with my dog after only meeting her for such a short while before we had to leave and go out of town was really the most impressive thing of all. Brandy really loves animals and she has a special way about her that makes them respond very positively to her too. I couldn't believe how attached Moki was to Brandy when we got back and also how good Moki looked with no limping or soreness even though they had gone for a pretty long hard hike together, as per my request. Brandy said that she had even given Moki a little mini doggy massage on her back legs, which was wonderful. Moki seemed so happy that she had gotten to get out still even though Mom and Dad had to go away for the weekend. Brandy provided exactly the type of service I am looking for in a pet sitter. I wouldn't want to give anything less to our family's fuzzy best friend.

They take independent approach to each dog, meaning if my pup loves her belly rubbed she gets her belly rubbed. But if she loves to be just left alone, she is left alone. Having two separate areas for the dogs, big and small size, helps too so that pups stay in their weight class. The fenced in outdoor play areas are great and on the icky days, they have inside areas as well ready for all the Mother Nature's antics. Winni loved going to Four Paws, and each time came home and crashed from all the fun. Four Paws was also very accommodating with a Pup Bus when I could not get her to daycare or home.
