Yesterday's experience at Ulta was a great example of wonderful customer service! I tend to be a little shy about asking for help, even though I always need it, but I wasn't in the Urban Decay section for more than a minute before Javi came to the rescue. They helped me find exactly what I needed even though I didn't know exactly what I needed. Javi guided me to a nice, creamy, eye shadow primer/base from one of my preferred brands, even though I hadn't mentioned it specifically! We also swatched more than a dozen lip liners but they found THEE color I had in mind AND this stuff has staying power that I didn't ask for but am super excited about (CT Lip Cheat.) I typically schlep in with no makeup, a cap, and wearing what amounts to pajamas, so I'm sure that doesn't scream "she will buy basically anything you show her if it's the right thing," and sometimes that is reflected in the service I receive. Javi definitely made this visit noteworthy in the best way and I would completely trust their guidance for future shopping. read more

12.12.25: First time in at this location and it was pretty busy with holiday shoppers. To make a long story short, I had gone to the Ulta on Wilbur in CDA looking for a specific item that was advertised in their mailer. Not only did they not have it, the couple of employees who were asked about it had no idea about the product being in store. Epic fail of a trip. So I hopped online and placed an order on 12/9/25 for the holiday nail polish I was looking for and it was on sale for 50% off. So it ended up being less than $9 bucks--great deal for O.P.I brand! I was given the option for in-store pick up at this location. I was stoked! I received an email the next day on 12/10/25 that my order was ready for pick up. On 12/12/25, I walked in and headed to the online pick-up desk near the front entrance, which is very smart and convenient. I waited almost 5 minutes before an employee finally came to help me. I gave her my last name and ID and she quickly and easily retrieved my order. If you know what you want or just re-ordering product(s), I highly suggest using the in-store pick up option. They also offer curbside pick up, where you don't even have to get out of your car lol. read more

I've been visiting different Ulta as we have moved 3 times over the last couple of years. I recently visited for my normal color and was charged an additional fee for the stylist use of a brush. This hasn't occurred in the CA or VA locations. Services always included a blowdry with a brush (no styling or curls). Spoke with the manager and emailed Ulta. It seems it varies depending where you go. I don't know many people that would appreciate having their hair blown dry without the use of a brush! Hello frizz! It really is deceiving!!! This has nothing to do with the stylists. Seems like the chain over emphasizes them to SELL... you will often see celebratory posters indicating how much they have sold. Tacky. And makes me question if what the stylist recommends is actually necessary. Do better Ulta. Found another salon that does what it says! read more

Zero stars. I was so excited to come get my birthday gift and do quite a bit of shopping for my birthday but I had to use the bathroom first. I asked a salon person who was incredibly rude and said the bathroom "might be open and associate would have to give me the code" and then she completely ignored me and went back to what she was doing. So I went and found an associate and he told me that it was closed and I'd have to find another bathroom. I will not come back to Ulta and I'll save my business for Sephora instead. They've always treated me better but I thought I'd try out Ulta again. Big mistake. It's one thing if you don't have a public restroom but as a paying customer you just missed out on a huge sale. read more

This place is horrible! I went in looking for Prefume. Not one associate even acknowledged me asking me if I needed help. Normally people greet you at the door and acknowledge you when you're leaving. This place did neither and nor did any associate ask if I needed help which I did I do not recommend this location. read more

I love trying different brands of fragrances, and I was always able to come in and use the testers at my leisure to find one I like. However, in recent months, they now have locked up not only the fragrances for purchase, but also the tester bottles. I came in last Sunday to try some perfume, and had to walk around the store to find someone to unlock the testers and stand there while I tried them on. Not a pleasant shopping experience. I left the store empty-handed. Do better, North Spokane ULTA. Update: Just left the ULTA store in Missoula, Montana with 2 fragrance purchases. While the fragrances for purchase were locked, the testers were available to use and try on my own. Another win: no sales tax in Montana! read more

Had a couple of essentials to pick up and stopped by the store for some retail therapy. The associates were friendly and greeted us at the door. The layout was laid out opposite of the store in Wenatchee, but once I surveyed the area, I knew where I wanted to go. The aisles were clean and well stocked in the drug store section. There was a large hair care selection in the back by the salon, and they do have restrooms for customers, but you have to be let in to use them by an associate. We came on a Saturday, mid-morning and there were several associates and people at the high end counters too. The vibe was friendly overall. I appreciate it when the associates let me browse through and take my time. I usually shop ULTA online, because it's convenient and I use the coupons, but if you have the app, the coupons are easy to retrieve and use at the register. Always use a coupon and sign up for their rewards program, it's worth it! read more

I booked an appointment for the salon on September 2nd for the 7th at 10:00am. Whoever took the call didn't bother to put my info into their system. They didn't put my name or phone number, the stylist who was supposed to trim my hair ended up canceling all of their appointments for today and of course I couldn't be notified of this. I was already apprehensive about going to the salon at Ulta due to a previous bad experience at another location, and this just solidified why I won't go near the salon. I have no idea why the person who took the call to set up the appointment didn't put my info in the system. Its a bit ridicilous and shows a lack of respect/ complete disregard for other people's time. read more

The hair stylists there cannot cut or style curly hair at all. I have been there 3 times and every time has been a disappointment. They should not offer "curly hair" special hair cuts because no one there knows how to cut or style curly hair. I am extremely disappointed in their salon. I will not be back. I booked an appointment with Makayla to have my hair cut and styled for my family's fall photo session. I was called 30 MINUTES before my salon appointment and told none of the girls showed up. I'm assuming it's some sort of strike situation so this is a 2-tiered disappointment. First, people don't risk a strike for fun, there's always a good reason. Shame on you, Ulta. You are a multimillion dollar cooperation, you can afford to treat your people fairly. Second, Makayla: What the heck did I do to you? You could have at least called and warned your clients, and it still would have had the same effect on your boss. I had to scramble for a new appointment before photos. I went in yesterday excited for a silk press because of a prom event later that day, and ended my appt in tears. I had scheduled an appt with a hairstylist and received a call that she was unable to do my hair type (curly) and referred me to another stylist by the name of "Ari" who was "supposed" to be specialized in my hair. The first half of the appt was fine with my hair being blow dried and straightened, but then it went south. I had asked if I would be able to get 1-1.5 inches trimmed off the ends of my hair to make the straightened hair look a little more neat. I was told that it would be an ADDITIONAL $47 to have a "hair cut" even though I only needed a trim. Eventually the stylist said she would trim my ends free of charge to clean it up. I had clarified that I only wanted 1 inch cut off, and that the stylist and I were in agreement on that length. She began to start trimming my hair, bluntly chopping in a straight direction and not angled. I'm no stylist, but I am sure that is not the correct way. She quickly began chopping more and more off because it kept coming out uneven. My hair was at the middle of my back and after she was finished it was to my neck. I asked her when my hair becomes curly, how much shorter would it be, and she said it would be an additional 2in shorter. The stylist then proceeded to ask if I would send her pictures of my prom hair/outfit to post on her personal Instagram. I was appalled by the nerve of the stylist to ask me for personal information after screwing up my hair. The worst part was she did not even cut my hair straight. I was charged $62 to have all my hair cut off and terrible customer service. DO NOT go to this salon, unless you want to end up with a shitty version of a Joan of Arc haircut. read more

I was watching YouTube reviews of the Dyson Airwrap Complete Styler contemplating purchasing one after seeing a commercial. Since the cost is over $500 I wanted to make sure it was worth it. My husband watched a couple of the YouTube videos with me. So after work the following week he went to Ulta and bought one for me. The cashier had to go in the back and find one. He then came to pick me up and I saw the huge Ulta sack in the backseat and knew what he did. I told him since I was a diamond member I had a coupon for 20% off and about $100 in points to use. So we drove straight back to the store and returned and repurchased the Dyson using all my discounts was almost $200 in savings. I was so excited that when I got home I opened it to try the curling Q brush. What I found is in this picture. The main dryer and 2 attachments were missing. We tried calling the store because I thought maybe they had given us a return or something since the sales person brought it out from the back. No answer so we drive the 25 minutes back to the store. By this time it was after 8pm. The manager told us she had to watch the store videos since it was an expensive item. After an hour of being left at the cash register we were finally given a refund because there were no more in stock. I advised the manager that next time they should look in the box and make sure it was there before selling it. She said they never had this happen before and gave me a look like I was suspect. How was it missing if they brought it out from the back. It was obvious she suspected us of stealing it and treated me as such. Why would we waste our time coming back and using my points and coupon if I was just going to return for cash?? I will never set foot in that store again unless I get an apology. It feels terrible to be treated like a thief. I also wasted my 20% off coupon which was for total purchase not just one item and left without my Christmas present. She did call another Ulta who was also out of the item but said she couldn't help us get one online that we would have to do it ourselves and hope they would give us the 20% discount. I kept thinking they would find out what happened to it by looking back over store surveillance and I would get a call apologizing but I never heard anything from them. Sucks that I'm now going online to Dermstore and Skinstore for my future purchases. read more

I can't recommend the salon. I booked an appointment for 4:300. At lunch I drove to this location and asked if therE waS an earlier appt. I was happy and was told 2:30 and that sounded great. I arrive at 2:27 and was told sorry we had a scheduling problem and it would be late. Things happen however this was the second time this happened to me. Too bad they couldn't call before I drove all the waY over jussi to be told sorry we had another scheduling problem. Done with that store completely done. No resolve. Spoke to a manager and of course the line "sorry your experience was so bad". Really? I had an appointment and yes horrible experience. I Was a diamond rewards member. No more and hello Sephora. I had a brow tint from Brianna and she was so precise and very kind in explaining to me the process and answered all questions as this was my first time.
