I'm updating this review for the service from the store manager Brisa and Jose, the ASM. After about 2 months of a little back and forth with customer service reps behind the scene reaching out to the location where I had the service done, the store Manager, who is new to this location as of the last few weeks, she offered to have me come in and get a full refund for the service! I was very grateful and appreciative of the offer extended. I feel like she made the situation right, as the damage to my hair was already done. I also have had it cut a bit since I was in and it's showing signs of healthy hair. read more

Their website for booking appointments never works, and when they do take appointments via the phone, they often overbook and ask you to find another date or time even when you are on time. Jennifer, the hair stylist, cannot seem to manage her time. read more

The store is usually well organized compared to other ulta's in the area. The workers are much friendlier at this location as well.

Located next to the Crate and Barrel outlet and the Ross store across from the Livermore outlets. Not in the main outlets area but across the street. It is in the far right corner. Not very busy on a Sunday afternoon. We have quite a few Sephoras and Ultas in the area so we might not need another one here. The customer service was a bit chilly at this location. The place is VERY clean and the lighting was awesome. The store is RIGHT across the street from the Livermore outlets. I LOVED the display of all the products. You couldn't help but to start looking around even IF you didn't need anything. "Excuse me, do you have any clean products? Do you know if Rhianna's products are vegan...." I asked the associate and she checked for me....and they are! I was so excited. The associate who helped me was Racquel. She's a smart, bright and beautiful! Her smile, her attitude AND her enthusiam cause me to do a bit more research on vegan, cruelty-free products and that's what I'm going to invest in! She took the time with me to answer so many questions. Had the best service from Raquel in Livermore. AND the store was super clean. I want to this store to buy a new perfume. I wanted to test out some perfumes to see what I'd like. I was surprised that most of the perfumes that I wanted to try had empty tester bottles - at least 10 different ones that were on my list to try had empty testers! Was in to buy a specific product that the website said they had in stock but there were no employees to help me find the item. I circled the store three times looking for the display and never found it and no was in sight to help me look. I asked the girl at the register and she said she would ask someone to come help me. No one ever came. I went home and ordered it on Amazon. Ulta will be the next to close its stores since there is no customer service when visiting the store. Seems like from other reviews this store is more of a hair salon than a beauty product store. read more

Angie was very helpful too between her and Marianna they made sure I left happy. I came in with unevenly bleached hair and desperately needed a color correction. This is a well stocked store! I've been to other branches and for some reason, the testers are always missing. This location is inviting and offers many products. For many years, I've relied on Sephora. However, I've come to realization that Ulta is a strong competitor and can offer the same value if not better than Sephora. Be on the lookout for coupons on the app. I was lucky enough to be targeted with a 20% off products for a one time purchase coupon. That's a lot better than Sephora's beauty insider sale of 10%. With that said, I did the majority of my shopping ($300) with Ulta and will hit up Sephora for one or two items. read more

I have never written a bad review before, but the experience I had at this salon warrants one. I came in for a scheduled appointment and was made to wait an extra 1 hour and 15 minutes because the stylist I was booked with was running late. Eventually, another stylist took over the appointment. I won't mention names, but I barely had a chance to sit down before she started cutting. I had been growing out my hair for years, loved my length, and only went in for a trim. She grabbed a bunch of hair from the bottom, chopped off 6 inches, and said, "bye bye hair," all while I was still trying to describe the look I wanted. I sat there in shock, trying to process what just happened. She then told me she had another client on their way and could only do the cut, suggesting someone else would have to blow dry my hair. I understand that schedules can get packed, but this is no way to treat anyone. I got over 6 inches cut off without permission, and the entire session lasted less than 20 minutes because she was in a rush to get to her next client. It's disappointing that in their rush to make a quick buck, they would treat someone this way. I would avoid this place at all costs if you even remotely care about your haircut. This entire experience was traumatizing, and as someone who struggles with confrontation, I was barely able to hold back my tears surrounded by all the girls there. Yes, my hair will eventually grow back, but it'll be hard to forget how terribly I was treated as a customer here. read more

Don't go here for color by Angie. My daughter did a consult with her and was assured that her hair would be in good hands. She ended up in tears today. I wasn't there but know that if your customer is crying while paying for the service, that's not a good sign. My daughter tried to communicate that she wasn't happy but they told her that it she would have to come back a week later to even see if someone could fix it. Shame on them to take advantage of someone who trusted their staff to do a good job and let her walk out the door crying. And if you mention wanting a refund, the manager, Maya, will tell you that it will take a month to get a refund through corporate. It's like they are punishing you for their problems. Stylists need to tell their clients the options and have the client make the decision, not the stylist. The stylist never showed her the color that she was using for her hair. If she had, my daughter never would've agreed and they could've had a conversation about it. I'm posting on her behalf because she's young and hasn't found her voice yet. She doesn't even want to leave the house, much less get her picture taken. I'm not a stylist, but if someone came to me asking for highlights and a blond look, I wouldn't make their hair 4 shades darker than their natural color and add in two poorly colored pieces in the front. My daughter told me that she looks like a skunk and I agree with her. read more

This location is the best location out of all Ulta locations and the reasons for that is many. If you've frequented Ulta stores before then you know customer service is a hit or miss, sometimes you're greeted sometimes you're not, sometimes when you need help finding something you won't get assistance, the store will say none in stock but it's in stock or vice versa. I've shopped at both Sephora and Ulta for a really long time, pretty much an expert in both stores and I know my beauty products. Needing help is rare but I do appreciate the offer or the greeting when I get one which at this location is every time. I live in dublin and I frequent all 3 nearby locations.. I also really like the selection of brands here, it's different then all the other locations, things being in stock is hit or miss but selection is always on point. I had a really positive experience here recently on Black Friday. I'm a YSL perfume junkie and they had a "just added" Black Friday promo where the perfume was significantly discounted. The perfume was sold out online within minutes and when I tried to order online for store pickup it would not allow me to add to cart due to limited availability. I called the store, explained the situation and they said they had both sizes and would honor the promo since I was unable to add to cart. I went there, purchased what I wanted with no issues and with the best care and customer service. I really appreciated this especially on a crazy holiday and I had a negative experience with this same situation at a nearby store on the same day (see my San Ramon review). I stop by here quite often when I frequent the gym in Livermore and would recommend this location out of all other locations. read more

Today I had the best experience at Ulta salon, this was my first time coming here. I scheduled my appointment with Angie R. From the start she greeted me she was professional very sweet and gentle with my hair. She asked me questions before doing the cut to make sure I was okay with the length I appreciated that so much. She blow dried my hair took her time and even did some touch up snips at the end with my face framing pieces. I will definitely recommend Angie. I will for-sure come here again. My daughter and I just got our hair done by Angie and I have to say that she is one of the best stylists out there. She not only understands her customers well but really takes the feedback and preferences seriously and delivers accordingly. She's color corrected my hair and deep conditioned my daughters hair that needed a lot of TLC. My daughter is very picky when it comes to cutting her hair and Angie made sure she gets her the cut she's most comfortable with. She recommends the right products for your hair type.
