I had booked a same day appointment at the salon with Connor and wow he was amazing! I have very fine and flat hair and am always very nervous when getting my hair done as it never comes out the way I wanted it to. I explained all my concerns with my hair and was immediately met with validation and a plan on how we were going to achieve my desired look. During the whole process Connor talked me through every step to make sure I understood what was going on and how it was going to help with the flatness. This is my review for Saturday May 20th, time: 7:35pm. Cashier was great and always is. I have been to this location many times since moving out to Tennessee. The women I encountered on the floor tonight was having a great conversation with the customer before me. After finishing her conversation I approached her to ask her for a specific product because I did not see it on display. The women was rude, short & unprofessional. I almost thought that maybe she was not an employee and I was bothering her because she seemed bothered that I came up to her. For some reason, the women was rude with me despite having a great conversation prior to me. She looked thru the products and sighed. She then asked me if I had gone thru the products as well. She sighed again. I told her I had. She then walked alway and came back with the key to open up the drawer. I just wanted to purchase a product without the attitude. 2/22/2020 I'm back for a gloss and retouch-up. (Not sure if that's the right terminology.) Thank you, Dida! I can't help how stubborn a few of my gray-white hairs are, but she does her best to cover them all up! I had to go back today for a retouch, but that's because I didn't have time for her to fix it last week at my regular roots appointment. She is a perfectionist and I like that when it comes to my hair. I know, it'll just grow out. However, my hair has always been my best feature! It's a struggle these days. So, I usually rock the mom-bun. Lmao. Before Dida, I didn't want to trust anyone there except the last two managers with my hair. Experience is worth the extra $$, but I know Dida is working on her master level and she has the best personality. She's real and really sweet! I'm in my 2024 self care era & decided to go into ULTA today to purchase the viral e.l.f. Power grip dewy setting spray. And because I've been on the hunt for a foundation I decided to get color matched too. I had the pleasure of getting help from Gabby. She was helping a customer when I was there so I just sorta hung around until she was free. She approached me and asked if I needed help and indeed I did. She color matched me for Charlotte Tilbury's foundation and she was amazing. Super professional. Very non judgmental. I always get anxiety when I ask makeup store workers for help because I know nothing about makeup up. But Gabby made me feel comfortable and was very helpful. This ULTA is always pretty stocked and clean. Workers are friendly but I had the best service from Gabby today! Thank you Gabby for all of your suggestions! Please don't come here! I wish I got to read these reviews before coming and getting my hair done. Staff was friendly but definitely inexperienced. I also didn't like that he didn't cut as short as I wanted and was rushing to do a blow out so didn't ask me how I wanted to style my hair. I asked for a lob and showed a picture. The first is what I expected since I had the haircut before and the second and third is what I got after. Now I have to go to get it fixed. Spend the extra money and go to a professional !!! read more

Customer service was perfect. I was greeted by many customer service reps in the store. The place was very clean and well organized. I saw many products I really wanted. I didn't find the Morphe palettes but I found Hempz Citrine Crystal and Quartz Herbal Body Moisturizer. It had a very bright and sparkling citrus scent ...very lovely. It had a citrine bracelet wrapped around it. I got it and the matching hydrating mist for the face and body. Perfect for hot sunny days. It made me think of salty and sultry nights on the beach. With the coupon and store discount, I saved $10. I took one star off because I thought some items were too pricey. read more

Had a hair appointment here. I had a picture, and felt like I explained everything I wanted pretty well. I definitely said I didn't want my brown color too red or purple. Turned out truly horrible. It looked like a true amateur did this. I had to go to a different salon to get fixed. I hate raking people over the coals, but I highly suggest not getting hair done here. I went in for one thing and walked out with another completely different hair style and cut. I regret going here. The lady was nice but definitely won't be going back. She gave me red and orange high_lights and I told her I wanted to keep my black her just have a little high_lights. She made my hair a different color and I ended up having to cut more of than I wanted because she left the bleach on too long. I didn't want red and orange hair. I read the reviews from the savages that were complaining about customer service here and I almost didn't come, however, it's a beauty store and I got this. I walked in and was greeted by several employees, also asked if I needed help finding anything. The store was clean and organized. It looks just like all the other Ulta's that I have been in. I found what I needed and got to the check out line. The lady working the register was awesome and communicated well, she even asked if I wanted to join the points program or rewards.... I declined as I just don't wear makeup or purchase it often. Upon leaving I was told to have a nice day by several of the employees. So lesson learned... anyone that's going to go out of their way and call people rednecks or hill jacks on a public forum probably isn't going to have an opinion that I would trust anyways. Seems like a lot of turnover in this store. I had pretty decent service up until beginning of Summer and then it seemed like the last few times I went in it's a different vibe. People walking around and chatting but not paying a lot of attention to the customers. I had been looking for a better full coverage foundation and recommended 2 horrible and flaky products - Lancôme and then a Pro Retinol kind from L'Oréal. Im still not ready to give up on this store because I really really don't like driving to Nashville but maybe hiring staff who understand the products better would be helpful. read more

The salon is not the best. They did not advise of the additional fees. When I went in for the consult they did not even touch my hair or advise. They were inexperienced and not caring. The color faded within days and not because of the hair type or anything with my hair but because of the salon. The store itself is not any better. We went in after Christmas and the staff were too busy gossiping to help with the checkout. They were asked 3 times by a another staff member for help and they laughed and ignored her. We called the manager and she knew the staff we were talking about which indicates that there have been many problems. read more

I've literally never met anyone here that wasn't super sweet and helpful. It's not like some makeup stores where you feel judged if you walk in looking bad. They're always nice and will help you with anything. Last time I went I came in with my new foundation fail on my face that had been on for half a day, it was clumped and sliding around (ya know, super pretty.) One women instantly offered to help me when she was done at the Estée Lauder counter another girl still offered assistance! First of all I should have left a review 2 years ago but didn't realize I could, my mistake. Made appointment here to have her makeup done for a prom because that's the going thing now to have hair & makeup professionally done, yeah ok. Lol Big mistake. The lady she made the appointment with had overbooked so they had someone else do it and I was very hesitant because she looked like she belonged in a circus but my 17 yr old begged me not to say anything & embarrass her so I didn't. Once again my mistake & my daughter even thought so once the lady twirled her around to the mirror & asked her how she liked it. My daughter replied "I don't , this makes me look like a street walker!" Another employee could see that we were not happy, came over & said she'd help us but first she had to wipe quite a bit off. After spending almost 2 hours in what should have only taken 30 minutes we finally left I would have talked to management but we were already running behind to meet the photographer. So it seems you hired a RACIST AS HELL associate by the name of Kaitie. She greeted and was very friendly with all the white families in front of me .....and behind me as well. I absolutely love the brow bar and the hair services I get here. I have tried different places throughout clarksville to get my eyebrows done, and every time I end up back here asking for help! My only wish is they would have online scheduling for the brow bar. Kyla, who does my hair is fantastic! I don't see her often, but I still feel as if she "knows" me which is important to me. I have also had sooooo many compliments on my hair cut, I have never had that before and am just so happy that I didn't spend $300 on my hair to get a great result! Highly recommend! read more

I went into this store looking for a LED mirror. We were misquoted a price on the first mirror I tried to purchase, and wanted to see another one. The mirror that was in my price range was in box that had clearly been torn through, so I asked if they could plug it in and make sure it worked. One associate said just to take it up to the front desk and they'd plug it in for me, so that's what I did. When we asked, the associate at the front desk named Madison snarled her nose, and proceeded to not locate the plugs they clearly have on the desk. Sooo went for a cut & color today... One stylist, zero receptionist & 4 hours in a chair stuck & I still have no color & im sure they're gonna charge me out the wazoo for this absolutely miserable experience. I will NEVER recommend this place. Good stylists just extremely inconsiderate. How about a call to say hey no ones here it'll be an 8 hour appointment today.
