I've been with Massage Envy for the past 7 years and I enjoyed being a member. It was nice having points to use or build and stack. With my points I could use it for a variety of things from facials, back facials, massage and even stretch. I also built up enough credit to gift to my mother and daughter for Christmas which saved money from not having to pay full price. Due to my move I have to let them go. Each was different, I feel the girl was a lot harder on me on my feet that my wife, which is accurate because she is very flat footed and I have high arch with plantar fasciatis, so I feel they accommodate to each person during the massage, to give best needed treatment. Only thing would be to hire a better English speaking person for phones only. I had a hard time getting them to answer questions due to barrier, luckily my wife is Chinese and was easy for her to book speaking same language. Tried to get in at Eden Day Spa, but they were all booked up, so we chose this place. The woman checking us in was kind and the place was neat and clean. They were late taking us back, but we didn't have other plans so it was ok for us. We both booked full body massages and facials: The woman who did the facial was friendly, did a good job and made me feel relaxed. But the woman who did our massages (Lynn?) acted like she'd rather be ANYWHERE ELSE besides there. She didn't have a smile to spare, and her massage was lackluster to say the least. She barely touched my quads, hamstrings, calves, feet (which were FREEZING because the place was as cold as an ice box) or lower back. My niece said the same thing about her experience with Lynn. I had Lynn as my mesus and my wife had Cole and she was more than happy with how well he worked with her (she's had hip surgeries but was able to help her with that pain). I tried massage envy for the first time and I feel great, however I feel like I was tricked into a membership!! I was not told that you couldn't cancel until after a YEAR!! Also you need a doctors note in order to cancel before that year is up?? That is ridiculous!! I was rushed into signing something that I didn't get a good description of. I'm still in my trial period, but I do not want to pay $65 every month for year, if I won't be able to use it. Very confusing and I would like to avoid being charged. My first time here I got a 90 minute massage from Romeo. This was the best massage I've ever had. He quickly identified that I have back issues and spent a majority of his time focused on my back. I wish there was an option for a negative star. My experience was heartwrenching and very unnecessary. I received a massage envy gift card for Christmas. I was very excited about this gift because I've had nothing but wonderful experiences with Massage Envy in the past. I am a mother of 2 small children and it took 3 months for me to be able to have time and a babysitter to be able to make this appointment for myself. As a mother finding time for yourself is very far and few in between. So I was very excited and was counting down the days to be able to do something for myself. My appointment was this morning and I was turned away? I was told that there was no record of an appointment for me? I was extremely disappointed and couldn't understand how this could happen. I distinctly remember confirming my appt 3 weeks prior and it was logged in my calendar? After it was very clear that the representative was going to do absolutely nothing to remedy this issue I simply just walked out. The rep mentioned that the manager would be there that afternoon so I called back to speak to her. I was certain that being the manager she would be able to come up with a resolution to assist me. I was wrong. Julianna Spoke down to me, talked over me and did nothing but spout dates and times as if we were in court. I was advised for the very very 1st time on this call with Juliana that I was supposed to give a credit card to hold the appointment? This was never disclosed to me while making the appointment or any time after? It also sounded odd because if this was the case wouldn't my appointment show canceled? The rep earlier stated an appointment was never made. Julianna continued on with trying to prove here case by saying they called but I have no messages or missed calls from them. It was the strangest call? She spent the entire time trying to blame me using made up information. She ultimately hung up on me. I called back and she confirmed she hung up because I was yelling at her??? Not true and very bizarre...it was like I was in the twilight zone? She advised that she was done talking to me and that she would have the owner call me. I advised that I did not need her to do that because I see no reason why I would return there and her response was " I think that's best"???! Yes! Shocking!just some advice Julianna, You're running a business it's never best for money to not to walk through the door? My only request to the owner is to run the video when I arrived this morning and to also listen to my call with Julianna. You will be shocked as to how your manager is running your business. Your services mean more to people than what's on the surface. To be turned away for someone else's mistake and then talked to like scum is unacceptable. Julieanna showed not one attribute of a manager during our call. I am very saddened by the way I was handled today and firmly know that I did not deserve it. Long time ME customer since 2012, everywhere I have lived I have always had an amazing experience, until the ME on Tiny Town. Multiple great therapists that have come and gone, last minute therapist changes or apt/schedule changes seem to be their MO. Today I had an apt I booked 3 weeks out at 10:30, I get there at 10:25 for my 90 minute massage and they said my apt was at 10:15. I booked online specifically for 10:30 because I have kids and childcare arrangements needed to be made. They stated they had already rebooked and couldn't even see me for 60 minutes of my scheduled time. Their total lack of customer service is appalling. Run to the Madison location, they are worth driving a few extra miles for! read more

I have been coming to this location for a little over a year now. I. Love. It!!! I have been requesting the same person lyn every time. She has made me so relaxed I have fallen asleep! The membership is an amazing deal. I love that you can book online and they communicate well with you. They call and make sure they reach me to confirm your appt at least 2 days prior to my appt. They Have never had to reschedule me. I know they are so busy and book quickly since they do have really food therapist so I make my appts in advance when I know my schedule. AND when my schedule is so busy and we can't find a day that works for me they never seem to get annoyed with me. Me and my mom got a certificate for our massage. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. My massage therapist was nice however her hands were ice cold and the lotion or oil she used was not heated as well. The massage was relaxing but not much pressure. Never once did she ask me if the pressure was good but it's my fault I never mentioned it either. At the end our coupon came with something extra, however we did not get it. But only sorry was their excuse. And the pushy person at the desk tried to convince us to be a monthly member. Not sure i would go back or recommend. Mom did like Romeo. He did a good job for her. Stopped in to see if I could book with Estelle who is AMAZING and asked about the manger who was about to have a baby was doing and the rude blonde behind the counter stated she's no longer with them and that she's the manager now and rolled her eyes at me. I will just continue to use the Madison location. The staff and management at the Madison location is great. I'd rather try to get with Estelle on the limited days she's at the Madison location then to have to deal with someone who rolls their eyes when asked about an employee (or ex employee). The whole vibe she gave off just turned me away. She just seemed to be irritated with my question and wanted to make it known she's running things. WORST experience ever with Massage Envy. Do not use Estelle!!! She showed up and walked into the door 5 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start and didn't start my massage until 9:10. She then cut the massage short and ended at 9:55. I showed up 10 minutes early for my appointment and should not be cut 15 minutes short because the massage therapist was late getting to work. Paying for a 60 minute massage and only getting 45 minutes... Estelle also just held my head in her hands for 5 minutes straight until I asked her to begin massaging my shoulders again. I had a massage with Jared and I would definitely recommend him! He was very professional, nice and listened to everything I asked for, which made for a wonderful massage. His pressure was great and he had a very unique technique. He was able to work out my problem areas and I felt way better afterwards. I couldn't wait for this location to open. I've been with them ever since. They have lost a few extremely good massage therapists. I don't know exactly what happened, but when I had 3 leave back to back for another spa, I almost fell apart. The BEST one I've EVER had was Tara. She was super nice, accommodating & compassionate. She was a god-send to me. She made sure she left me with suggestions of therapists that she knew I'd like. I did, but they left too. I literally cried & wanted to cancel my membership & sulk forever, but they told me my gift cards were non-refundable, so I stayed in order to use them up. Good thing I did, because they matched me up with Bobby. He was great while it lasted. He had to call off on the one day my body was in one of my fibromyagia super flare ups, so they matched me with D'Angelo. I was happy & have standing weekly appointments with him. I would miss a meal or two to make sure I could afford my weekly massages. Who needs food when u have good pain management! I've been through so many of them at that location that I didn't know of too many more left. When I had another stress induced back pain & migraine, I was set up with a same day appt with Jared. I never knew about him, but he was great too. When my friend asked how I felt after my massage, I couldn't wait say, "I went to Jared!". LOL read more
