Upon arriving at the pickup station, I was not acknowledged by anyone except security. Three employees were engaged in conversation, and despite one of them walking past me twice, no one acknowledged my presence or indicated that they would assist me shortly. I stood there for several minutes without any recognition. It was only when another gentleman entered and stated that he had a pickup that the employees finally approached the counter. Despite my having arrived first, they proceeded to fulfill his order before addressing me. One employee did offer an apology, but I noticed an inconsistency in the process. The gentleman was able to collect his order without being asked for identification, whereas I was required to present both my barcode and ID. When I inquired about this discrepancy, I was told by the person I believe to be the manager--who had ignored me the entire time and prioritized the other customer--that an ID is always required. I generally do not raise complaints, but the level of service I experienced was unacceptable. From my perspective, I was treated unfairly, and the inconsistency in policy enforcement suggests that I was profiled based on something other than standard procedure. read more

The Manager was passively rude. Walked up to me no name asking was I the one with a dryer in the front kinda startled me. So I asked a few questions and she knew nothing besides saying it's a Dyson as if that explains anything. I understand everyone doesn't have product knowledge but just say that. My gf also felt a bit offended by her because she bent over in her face as she talking whole bottom in the air. This store is very off putting and unless you know what ur looking for don't shop here. Totally didn't know an ULTA was so close to my job. Popped in today because I wanted a lip color. I rarely wear makeup so going into stores like this is always intimidating. I walked in and was immediately greeted by two people. And then one of them asked if I needed any help...maybe she could see it on my face lol. Zoe walked me over to the makeup area and asked me a few questions to get a sense of what I liked. She was very patient and helped me find a color I was comfortable with. I love the new store smell! I also love when everything is precisely where it should be! I made an appointment for my black/blue color because I like Redken and got an appointment with Latrice. I was a little early and she took my coat and hung it up and showed me to her station. She's very informal, which works and she gave me a brief "curl consult" (and she was probably right lol) before doing the color. She mixed and applied it as I'm used to it going and she did not make a mess all over my face, ears, and neck, which is good because I like to pretend this is how my hair grows lol even though it's much shinier than before!! She did an AHMAZING wash--this girl knows how to cleanse a scalp and I'm going to turn into my mama and have her wash and set me next time just to get that scalp massage. I sat under the dryer for my conditioner, which I like and she detangled and finger coiled my curls and even sprayed a light leave in on them though I elected for color only. Fantastic service! Latrice is unconventional but in a good way and she (in her words) "does it all"!! I say go and see Latrice! Reserving judgment on the color to see if it holds the requisite 6 weeks though! I love Ulta and was talked into a new perfume while buying my Clinique face wash but it was worth it!! read more

I took a chance to get my hair done as a retired cosmetologist who suffers from chronic pain I now heavily rely on others for services. I went in hoping to get a shampoo and blow dry. Something simple enough. I explained to the stylist that I had plans to go get my hair braided after for a braid down and she informed me that she also provided that service. I asked if she had time and she told me she did. (Wonderful! Or so I thought) it started as a decent wash, I definitely could have been detangled better and then placed under a dryer. Everyone has different methods but surely that was the wrong choice for me. Then taken to the chair for a subpar hand dry. Now I should have stopped here but again. You want to give the benefit of the doubt. Miracles can happen, unfortunately one did not happen for me. Nonetheless, I paid and tipped to come home and the anchor braid I asked for is slipping out. I highly doubt I will ever come back to let them play in my hair ever again. Lesson learned read more

If I could rate the experience I had at their salon i would give it negative stars.... The hair cut I received was awful. I used to cut my Barbie dolls hair better when i was 5 than what they did to my hair. I scheduled a hair cut for just a trim. I wanted an inch off and they took over 5 inches off in which I was growing my hair out for my recent wedding. The stylist, if you would even call her that, took the longest time to cut my hair. For a trim, I should not have been in the chair for over 3 1/2 hours. I was not expecting a routine trim to take that long. My hair turned out TERRIBLE. Uneven lengths and ended up having to go to a different salon to fix the huge mistake. read more

My first time at this particular Ulta location. I loved it. I was greeted as soon as I walked in which is very important to me. The store was super bright and inviting and although it was 3 days after Christmas they still seemed to be well stocked. I came to use my Christmas gift cards for perfume. There were some fragrance that were sold out of course but I was still able to smell quite a few of them. I picked Angel Nova which is a Delina Dupe. Everyone there was nice and I'll definitely go back to this location. read more

Customer service here today for me was a problem. I asked for some assistance from someone who perhaps was the manager. She was the only staff not in uniform. She was arranging the display at the front of the store when I walked in. I appreciate her assistance in showing me the aisle of what I asked for help for. The Kiehl's facial cream. As we walked she asked me what I liked about the cream and I mentioned that I liked that a little goes a long way. However, once in the aisle I saw they also had the Kiehl's cleanser. I was unsure if this facial cleanser would work for me. But was looking to try something new. Btw- they had a tester bottle of the cleanser there. I've successfully used the facial lotion previously without incident. But I have several allergies so I looked at the back to see the ingredients and saw none of my allergies were listed. Then asked her if she had used it or anything. She said No. Then I said would it be possible for a sample and she said no "we don't give out a lot of samples but I know that Sephora does". I was taken back by this statement and decided I would just but and try the cleanser. As I walked away I said ok. Well I will try it and if it doesnt work for me I will just give it away. I was out of the aisle and she said "well did you read the ingredients?!" with a scowl on her face. Which to me was Absolutely rude and uncalled for. I replied that I did and said "wow" and walked to the register to check out. Reading ingredients does NOT equate to my very sensitive skin not having a reaction. I was just verifying I wouldn't have a severe allergic reaction by checking to see what was in it. Example products with soy or sesame seed oil will have me go into anaphylaxis vs. Products with salicylic acid just burn my face and are too strong. Bottomline: Yes. The store is new. However, I dont need to ever visit this particular store again. In fact have recieved several samples from different Ulta stores before. Where they have time to engage with customers and assess their needs. So perhaps that's this stores policy. I was only in this area visiting my goddson and was trying to knock out some errands. 06/12/2024 I visited the local Ulta store. Was not able to find someone to help me. The associate that I found to help me was not very friendly or helpful. I described what type of makeup I wos looking for. She informed me that I shouldn't put my hand on my face. She said we';re our worst enemy when we touch our face with our hands. Didn't like that remark. She really wasn't a help after that. She walked me to the isle were the makeup was and then walked away not offering any assistance. I couldn't find the makeup I was looking for so I walked to the other side of the store, still couldn't find the makeup. I found another associate tant who informed me that she didn't work on that side of the store. She really wasn't any better than the first associate. I end up leaving a little frustrated. I will never return to this store again. Your associates are not friendly or are they helpful. read more

Brand new location!! So here's the low down about this new Ulta location: 1) its new, clean, and very organized 2) like with all Ultas, its almost a sensory overload when walking in... but there's a variety of brands and products to choose from 3) free parking provided via private lot, but can be tight issue if its a very busy day 4) however you can park in other nearby lots within the same shopping center and easily walk over to Ulta 5) customer service is amicable and actually very knowledgeable (esp for us melanin queens) 6) eyebrow waxing and facials are offered at this location 7) security and customer service folks are watching everrrybody like a hawk...almost to the point that its slightly uncomfortable (you can watch me but don't make feel like Im a criminal either) Overall, this new Ulta will get plenty of business and hopefully they'll keep up the quality of the store...could slightly improve on their tactics to prevent shoplifting because that would easily be a turn off for someone like me who is truly there to shop. I came to the store today to get some more perfume, like I did last month for me and my son. But, just like last time the security guard stood there and watched me as I tested the perfumes. I didn't really notice at first but when I looked up she was looking at me and then turned her head fast. I called my son and told him what was happening again, and he said that's why I didn't come in I stayed in the truck because she did the same thing last time. I'm never coming back here again, I spend $300 last month, but after this they lost me as a customer. read more

Stood in line behind another customer who was paying while the second cashier played on her phone. It was also not posted on the door that a mask was required and several employees walked past me in the store without notifying me that they were required. Security approached me as I was leaving saying I had to wear one or I couldn't shop there. Honestly I wouldn't care to wear one if it was posted but it wasn't. I told him it wasn't posted on the door and he argued with me that it was when it in fact was not. I have been to this @ulta a few times, the dirt few times we pretty good, but yesterday not so much. Customer service was not the best, not only rude to me, but I heard the sales associates being rude to others as well. Moving forward, I will go to another store. Why you may ask...1-floor rep, did not products on the floor, 2-2 sales rep could explain Ulta could not explain the coupon rules. 3-while checking out, the cashier seemed annoyed that she had to explain to her colleagues and myself the coupon policy. When it's my turn to check out, she walked off, and then 2 other cashier had to check me out, btw I only had 4 items. When I first saw the construction for this store being done I was so excited they were bringing one to this area. After a dinner at a nearby food establishment my mom and I noticed that they had finally opened and decided to go in. Upon entering I noticed the store was very clean an organized as I would have expected it to be since they just opened. I was able to find my favorite branded products very quickly due to their organization. Seems that they keep the higher end cosmetics to the left of the store and the lower end cosmetics and bath products to the right. The salon is still located at the back as well as bathrooms. a From what I could see they seemed to have a great stylist that was coloring clients hair in cool colors. They had enough staff that were helpful and checkout was quick. One thing I would keep in mind is to remember your coupons because they do help out a lot. This time I forgot and ended up paying more! I also liked how they put their sale items on front door display so you could grab those first. Overall I was pleased with my service and will continue to patronize them from now on. read more

I have never really been into Ulta until today, I wanted to switch from a compressed foundation to a liquid. Kayla was so very helpful to me in the Lancome section. Even the cashier was really nice and helpful, the store is beautiful and big and very clean and well kept. I left out with a new foundation, setting powered and a blender. I have been going to Ulta since 2000, when I lived near Philadelphia. I have had a card since 2007 and have been Platinum/ Diamond since the conception of it. This is the worst store I have ever been to. What the people here think is normal because they are used to it is not how people that have spent their lives living elsewhere will view it. Most of the employees are not friendly and follow you around, breathing down your neck. The cashier handed me my purchase and didn't say thank you. There is a security guard at the front and that isn't enough for them to be right next to you at all times. I can tell you that most Ulta stores do not have a security guard. I will not be surprised when this Ulta gets shut down. Most of the customers seem to be in the drugstore section, not the higher end makeup. Horrible store. read more

Recently had a very uncomfortable experience in this Ulta. As most stores, security is present at the front and roams around from time to time.... normal. This night, as my husband and I went separate ways-- I went to the Women's makeup section and he proceeded to the Men Cologne section. We were watched very heavily. I met my husband back at the cologne/perfume section and noticed the employees kept walking by every minute. After about 10 minutes of trying different scents and having security watch us like a hawk from his post, he decided to walk back to where we were and stood there. Although, it was other people in the store it felt like that night we were singled out for whatever reason. I had a small crossbody bag that wouldn't have fit anything in it, so I am not for sure what made security want to target us that night, but he did. So of course, my husband started to get very annoyed because we couldn't enjoy our shopping experience due to how uncomfortable it felt. As we proceeded to the register, so did the security guard, so that's when it came clear to me that we were being targeted. On the way out, I placed my card back into my purse and the security guard was starring at my small crossbody purse. I understand the purpose of security and their role, however we were not the only people in the store. After leaving, we waited outside maybe 20 mins to see if the security guard would treat others the same way and he didn't. He remained at post. This was a horrible experience and the most uncomfortable I have ever felt in a store. I have no desire to patronize this store ever again. It was my husband first time at Ulta and he was excited to try the Cologne scents that I raved about, but it was sad to see that we were singled out for whatever reason. read more
