deplorable predatory membership practices. first they tell you its $1 for the first month and then tell you theyll charge you your last month on the same day. once you sign, "oh by the way theres a $50 dollar annual fee on your next payment". so you go from paying $1 to $110 on the first day and then $160 plus tax on your second month! then if you wanna change anything on your membership you have to call. and theyll tell you you have to call after 11am or go in to talk to someone to cancel. then you have to go in and talk to someone and or finally you have to email someone to change anything on your account?! its 2026! all of this should be able to be done over an app - but noooopeeee the app gives you the option but wont allow you to. they spin you round and round, and then when you want to cancel they will force you to stay and additional 21 days which if youre in cycle that means your last month payment which you paid on your first day doesnt count! so now youre stuck for 2 more months. peak scam mentallity. if you go in better have a card ready that youre willing to cancel cause it will be the only way out. read more

At this point, I am requesting that the matter be handled appropriately and based on your actual company policy. I personally went to UFC Fit on November 11th and cancelled my membership in person, in accordance with the cancellation policy I was given. Now, more than a year later, I am being asked to provide text-message proof or other documentation of the cancellation. If your policy requires cancellation in person, how exactly am I expected to provide text-message proof of an in-person cancellation? I find it extremely concerning that I am now being held responsible for proving something that your own staff should have properly documented at the time of cancellation. I cancelled my membership as required, and I should not be charged or held responsible for an administrative failure on the gym's part. Tyler's handling of this matter has been extremely unprofessional and has left me with serious concerns about the integrity of how these records are being handled. I expect UFC Fit to review its records, investigate what happened on November 11th, and resolve this matter appropriately. There are numerous other gyms in this community, including Crunch Fitness, Orangetheory, and F45. Overall a very solid place. Large space with many equipments, all in good shape. No issue with other patrons. Bathroom and sauna are clean and in good condition. Plenty of classes. The front desk staff is not nice but not rude either. However the HUGE plus if you are a parent: they have a daycare. Now I must give some warning. It is not a "proper daycare" with trained staff. It's a room with toys and an adult somewhat supervising. I would not recommend letting your little one in there. Why? I have seen the staff letting a baby on the desk, without supervision. That baby could have crawled away and felt, luckily it did not move. I have also seen small pieces from toys that small ones could choke on. The staff looking after children is nice, BUT they are NOT trained professionals. Overall we are having a good experience with UFC FIT and we recommend them. read more

The gym is really large and has great equipment. The workers are friendly as well. However, it is always so crowded, but more importantly, there are always children in the gym. During peak hours, there are young children walking all around the gym. I'm not referring to teenagers, I'm talking elementary aged children. I understand that there are classes for children, but the organization and timing is not efficient. They also should not be allowed to walk around the gym freely. This gym used to be about fitness, now ITS OVERRUN BY ONLY FANS AND IG CONTENT CREATORS (they all think they're fitness models ) For example I saw a girl walk up the smith machine I wanted to use 8 times and do 8 takes for her onlyfans (acting Inappropriately) and she didn't even do one set ! I filmed it here . This type of thing happens all the time. They use tripods abs now even bring photographers. When this gym first opened there was plenty of parking, and towels and the ac was cold Now the washing machine is always broken, the ac was broken last week, and the music is always too loud. And recently the internet here sucks too now ! With the rates they charge they should care more about this type of thing but they allow the gym to be overrun by big assed girls with tripods and ppl who work there just don't care. I can honestly say I would not have continued this long had it not been for the consistent and energetic encouragement and training from DERELL WESLEY. He has been a complete gem find. The ironic thing is that I am a trained Physical Therapist but did not have the motivation to really work on me! I am sure many people in Plantation and surrounding towns who have/had memberships at gyms like UFit, Planet Fitness or the legendary 1440 fitness (before it was shut down) had really high hopes to join this gym. Brand new gym, lots of features, price wasn't that bad, and the location is nearly perfect because of how close it is to residential areas. I could walk there it's so close to my home. We all drove past the UFC Fit trailer on University and thought, "Hmmm that new Plantation Walk sure looks nice. Maybe I should check out what that new gym could offer." If you act fast and sign up up before the gym opened you could get that ever so sweet founders discount. So why the one star review? The gym has yet to open. Okay no problem. We could wait a month or two. After all, it is UFC FIT of Plantation! Well what's the REAL issue? I signed up and paid for the membership agreement in JULY 2021... that's over 220 days and I think ~$100 out of pocket (I can't remember how much signing up cost because it was so long ago.) The money isn't the main the issue... that is long gone. The real issue is the lack of integrity from management of this specific UFC fit. I, among many others who signed up, have had ZERO communication from the employees, managers, or corporation about the expected open date... well that's not true. I was told that the gym would open by October 2021 after I signed the membership agreement. Sure I can wait a few months- the pandemic is probably causing some delays in the gyms operation... But wait- it's the middle of March 2022 and still this gym remains closed? My experience isn't even the worst. Others signed up months before me and were promised a grand opening in August 2021. Read the google reviews. Am I impatient? Not really. I signed up for another gym just to wait until UFC Fit Plantation opened. I was told the day I signed up that it was the LAST day for the "founders discount". What an opportunity to save some cash...? Not really. I could sign up today and get that same discount. It was just a tactic to make people buy memberships because if they didn't sign up NOW they wouldn't be able to save money tomorrow. Classic salesman move. So back to the integrity of management: Yelp reviews for this gym are incredibly misleading. In fact, the guy who sold me my membership has given the gym a 5 star rating stating how amazing the gym is, but I would say he might be a little biased, especially since he is the manager... and well the gym isn't even open. He gave me his phone number to text if I had questions, but I finally did just this today and to my surprise, as a founder of the one and only UFC FIT Plantation, I did not get a text back. The audacity. Anyone who signed up in 2021 should be refunded 100% TLDR: Members were promised this gym would be opened anywhere from August 2021 to October 2021. Gym still hasn't opened. How to even begin? Lets start with the lie the front desk girl told me on the phone, which is comical. She told me they only have "one" person that come to fix "ALL" the problems in "ALL" the UFC gyms in the area. ( as the sauna has been out of service for 8 days) So, me being curious of couse, as I didn't believe this girl. I called serval other UFC gyms in the area and they told me that is BS. I am very impress about The PT manger Derrell. The competition that we did this year was very organized and clean and did a great job with the workout. He always make sure everything is organized on the gym floor and that we all have the equippment. Hes one of a kind. All of the trainers are super professional especially derrell. The equipment, staff, & classes/personal training sessions (especially Mikerson) are great, but the drawback's definitely overshadow the good of this gym. The overbearing circle lights in the gym are blinding to the point that other people and I wear sunglasses to avoid the discomfort. Also, the music is so ridiculously loud, I have to yell just to talk to anyone there & I can still hear their music over my AirPods with noise cancellation up to full blast. The blinding lights & overbearing music make it hard to get in the zone. I gave them the low rating bc the worst part is we've personally heard people complain to staff multiple times, and nothing is ever done.
