And even though this place is about 20 miles from my house, it's worth the drive if it means picking up my favorite celebratory and rare liquor of choice. I can't even begin to explain how difficult it is to find Chardonnay Korbel Champagne. Back when I was still living on the east coast, you could find that stuff in several different stores. In El Paso, it's practically an endangered species or damn near a myth...just like the unicorn. With that being said, I can explain why this liquor store is pure intoxicating awesomeness. Because it's like the go-to place for exotic, impossible to find wines and spirits. The lady that runs the shop is adorably helpful, too! If you have trouble finding a particular vintage, all you have to do is ask her what she has in the back and she'll be more than willing to get it for you. She even offers to quick chill your wine of choice on the spot, if so desired. The first time I navigated my way to this store, I hated the location. After having found that I can pretty much get to this place from the east side at lightning speed thanks to the 601 loop, I don't mind it at all. It's actually really easy to turn into and out of since it's barely even a mile away from the highway. I can't promise that you'll find the rarest wines in the world at this place. But I do feel this place deserves recognition on our benevolent yelp. Best I could tell you is...call ahead and ask if they carry a particular stock. Even if they don't, I'm sure the lady running the place will go out of her way to order it and make sure she does carry it in the not-too-distant future. And overall: I'm giving this place 4 glasses of sparkling Chardonnay champagne out of 5.

At first I thought it was just a store name and kinda passed it by; however, when I drove down the road and realized that it's actually a giant barn I had to go in. Best thing is, it's drive through... right through the middle of the barn! It's actually kind of an experience because of all the nostalgic beer paraphanalia and random do-dats they have there. The best part is that there isn't just one of these things, the barn is lined with them. When it comes to selection, Buddy's has a pretty wide one along with a bunch of imported micro-brews that they also carry. If you ask Buddy, he'll definately tell you what all of them taste like too! I was actually quite surprised how much he knew about tasting and the different beers. I guess he sampled a bunch for educational purposes. =) As for price, Buddy's got it down. It's pretty much the same as wal-mart, but you'll get better service, a better experience and YOU'LL GET TO DRIVE THROUGH A BARN TO GET BEER!!!

They also sell prints and paintings by local artists. What's even better is that it's a local business (well how could it not be?)! Every time I've gone, the employees are super friendly and helpful. I always end up talking and talking with them. Another thing I like about Chuco Relic is that they help the community often. I should say they also try to help people in our state! Back when Hurricane Harvey happened in Houston, they raised money for them by selling merchandise. I recently purchased an El Paso Strong t-shirt from them for $10. I pre-ordered it so it came out to $10 less. I'm always excited to help local businesses succeed, especially when they help others here and around Texas. If you're looking for an El Paso-inspired gift, this is a good place to go.

I recently visited and had a great experience. This is a great place to celebrate special occasions…read morelike birthdays, anniversaries, or even just a date night. They feature an inside area where you can sample different types of wines and they also have a large room where you can host special events. They offer three free tastings. You can then purchase wine by the glass by the bottle or enjoy flights. They have plenty of seating in the outside area with rocking chairs or picnic tables and if you get hungry, they do have a food truck where you can purchase barbecue themed dishes, or charcuterie boards. If you visit on a Saturday or Sunday, they have live music from 12 to 4 PM. Make sure to get there early as it gets pretty packed and most seats will be taken if you arrive after 2 PM. You can also bring your own chairs just in case there's no seating available. They do have a resident indoor cat named truffles. If you're inside you'll probably get to meet him. Highly recommended.

They did have some snacks but not a lot, the two ladies that helped us said to bring snacks next time, well we came two days in a row and brought sandwiches and snacks the next day and ordered a bottle to sit outside on the lovely lawn they had! The lawn was huge, they also have a massive patio with plenty of seating. String lights all through the lawn, trees, and a stage for events! Love this place so much and they offer horse back riding with tasting along with tours!
