What a great find on our way West! This place was just what we were looking for to enjoy some local hospitality. The staff were friendly and provided exceptional service. There were so many options to choose from so I asked the staff to order for me (I do not have any food hang ups so this usually works well for me). I had the Breakfast Burger and steak fries and when I say it was DELICIOUS, well that may be an understatement...Texas toast, hamburger patty, bacon, eggs, hashbrowns and cheese!! He had a taco salad, good fresh ingredients, just what you would expect in a salad. Unfortunately we were too FULL for ice cream but it was selling like hot cakes while we were there. Hand Washing and grabbing pickles and vegetables with gloves and being careful not cross contaminate is a must in maintaining a sanitized kitchen. I try and make a point of checking out small town ice cream and burger stands because I think you can find some great food. Udder Delights fell a little flat for me. We went in for dinner and some ice cream - the dinners were alright, burgers and chicken strips pretty standard you would get anywhere. Our younger daughter opted for a grilled cheese and it was so good - lots of gooey cheese wedged between 2 pieces of buttery Texas toast, that was the standout for me. In regards to ice cream - they had a ton of options available, including some drunkin (adults only) sundaes. My husband and I split a sundae that had Irish Whiskey and Bailey's while our daughters shared a S'Mores sundae and bubblegum ice cream cone. The S'Mores really lacked any flavor and there were no marshmallows to be found. The service was really friendly, but the 2 gals working there were stretched pretty thin with one assigned to cooking and others taking orders, they definitely could have used some help. read more

One of my absolute favorite treats to get at Udder Delights is the pink flamingo. Strawberries, pineapple, and a little bit of sparkle with some clear pop. Delicious! The root beer float is also particularly scrumptious. Fantastic for breakfast or lunch! The service is always kind and welcoming, and the area is always clean. Grab a board game from the corner for while you wait inside, or sit in the outside area and order from the mini walk up window! read more

Great little local place. Price is right as well. 5 people $35. Wow. Came here twice during my stay. On the 2nd visit I got a Blood Mary. It was amazing! My sister and I stopped here for dinner after moving my niece into the Wayne State dorms today. This place is always talked highly from the students so we thought we would give it a try. Only 1 person working as server, cook and apparently she couldn't handle the 2 tables she had because after receiving our food, she never checked on us again, NOT ONCE! We were patient as she was making food and drinks for the 2nd table, but after approximately 40 minutes of sitting there, our patience was running thin! Especially when we could see her eating some food AND on her phone!! It took both me and my sister making eye contact with her to ask us if we needed anything. I asked for a box and informed her I wanted desert but we have been sitting there so long unattended, that I no longer wanted any from here. She still didn't bring us a bill until we both stood up. She then yelled across the room if our bill was together or separate. I asked to just give us a total which we left on the table and went to Dairy Queen!! Got an excellent BLT and ice-cream sundae in this little town of Wayne. My son had a big ole corn-dog and happy fries. The girls working were super friendly and even gave some nice travel tips for us. If I ever happen through Wayne again, I'm headed to Udder Delights. read more

I was highly disappointed in the service and quality of food when my boyfriend and I went to eat. I ordered a waffle, bacon, and eggs: the waffle tasted like rubber and the bacon was burned. Luckily my boyfriend likes his bacon that way! Also, we sat for over 20 minutes while our food cooked and they didn't bring us our drinks. When I asked for them, the waitress told me that she thought the other waitress had brought them, when she could clearly see she hadn't. When it came time to pay and I brought up these issues, the waitress told me that she and her co-worker "never do breakfast" because they only work nights. Now, the menu says Breakfast "or Any Time." I don't appreciate excuses. The customer service and food quality is lacking and a change is needed. read more

Husband bought a shrimp dinner to bring home to me. That's a treat to me and I was really looking forward to it. 30 minutes later when I opened it up the toast was very brown and the shrimp was way overcooked. Dark dark brown with burnt edges. It stunk like old grease. A month ago, another shrimp dinner, the toast was burnt but I just didn't eat it. I'm not a complainer but did call them right after I opened the container. The person I talked to (female) told me she was sorry - I asked for my money back and she said, "Have a good day," and hung up. Monday, when we are back in Wayne I will return the shrimp and show it to the owner. read more

Their food is rather greasy. Their ice cream is okay, depending on who makes it. Don't know how these guys pass any sort of sanitation requirements. It's very dirty and feels like grease is all over the chairs and counter tops. Most of the chairs are very sticky to the touch as well. Would not recommend dining in. read more
