Our server took our order quickly and the food came soon after, and boy did the food come. Three of us ordered two cheeseburgers and an order of half and half - cheeseballs and french fries. I ordered a cheeseburger for myself and my friend and his cousin split a cheeseburger. The portions are enormous. The half and half filled a regular sized dinner plate and was spilling off the sides. The burger hung off the bun by a couple inches on all sides. Food taste was fine. The cheeseballs and fries tasted like typical Sysco or US Foods. Nothing fancy or notable other than the price and the size of the order. The burger was also good not really great. Decently seasoned, cooked to medium/medium well, I prefer mine closer to medium rare. This too was memorable due to the size and price. $7.50 for an 11 ounce cheeseburger is unheard of anymore and $8 for two full pounds of fries and cheese curds is CRAZY! As the song goes...."where everyone knows your name." Daily specials are offered Monday-Thursday but unfortunately, our visit was on Friday. We browsed the printed menu and landed on the patty melt and rodeo best burger--a 6 oz. burger jam packed with two types of cheese, mushrooms and all the fixings. It was huge! A side of crinkle cut fries was split between our orders and after seeing the size of the fry order we were glad we decided to share! All burgers on the menu with "rodeo" in the name are 6 oz. in size. A sign on the wall reads, "if you leave hungry it is your fault" and I would tend to agree with the sign's message. Our burgers were juicy, a little messy in a good way, and very filling. Our server was friendly, efficient, and checked on us frequently. We were provided a full set of condiments (see photo) to embellish our already overflowing burgers--something you don't see at your local burger joint. Restrooms needed some updating and attention, but were clean and serviced. We liked the friendly feel and food at the Rodeo Bar and Grill and would recommend it to others--if we keep traveling to northeast Nebraska they may even learn our names.
