This is where to have your radiology needs done. The waiting area is very roomy and plenty of daylight. Complimentary parking, plus complimentary valet parking for us disabled individuals. Supervisor Norman's staff over the past ten years have been phenomenal. Also his scheduling staff especially Jan has made all the pertinent inquiries regarding my upcoming scheduled appointment. Individual's who have mobility issues are taken care of by his caring staff. His front desk personnel Guliya, Christina, Ricky and others have made my many radiology needs most pleasant. Technician Ben most recently provided me with a CT Scan my spine surgeon ordered. Dylan provided me with the CT scan results via a CD within 10 minutes . If you need an MRI and you can fit in any machine, are not claustrophic, do not have any medical issues that add difficulty to getting the test done, and have no issues with contrast, this place is fine. However, if you are claustrophobic, have medical issues that make getting in and out of an MRI difficult, require any modifications (even minor) to their standard protocol, or are unsure about how you will react to contrast, go elsewhere. On the plus side, they have multiple MRIs of different types and sizes. When you are booking or ask a question, they will often respond with the name of the machine or the room number as if the typical patient knows that info. I have been here several times and have had more than a dozen MRIs in my life at various facilities. So many times I have walked out of this facility. Two things are needed to get a good screening - the right machine and the right tech. I have had multiple instances when they have booked me in the wrong machine. I have also had them switch the machine at the last minute to the wrong one. They have some good techs, but you don't know who you'll get. They have too many techs who are very inexperienced. They have book knowledge only; that stops them from adjusting to the patient. For people with claustrophobia, the tech needs to listen carefully and adjust. If the patient cannot handle a head cage, insisting on putting barriers around the head and adding foam blocks creates an unsafe environment. This is especially egregious when the patient has had successful MRIs of head and neck with none of this. It is actually optional if you can stay still. But inexperienced techs will push for what they have been told is the norm. There is also an issue of techs not knowing how to help people who struggle to get up onto the machine bed. Add to that that people who are injured enough to need their services walk down slick hallways in hospital socks. Also, many older people are helped by being able to keep their glasses and hearing aids until they are on the machine. Taking them early, which they always do, adds risk of falls and disorientation. The greatest issue with techs is simply not listening to the expressed needs of patients. If someone says they need the room well lit, that doesn't mean turning on the light in the machine while keeping the room dark. Requests for time to settle in and zone out before starting are interrupted by chatter expected to calm you. However, having a tech repeatedly tell you that they know it's tight in the machine and that it is really hard to handle only adds to the stress. Additional issues are layering on blankets when the patient says they don't want one, touching the patient without notice, and tossing sheets over your face. If things go poorly and you ask for space, many of the techs, in trying to be compassionate, will touch you or follow you around. Again, this exacerbates the problem. Then they'll suggest you try meds. If you can't, they stare at you like that is the most bizarre thing they have ever heard. Some will even push the meds as if they are fun. Finally, I was there one time when a patient had a severe reaction to the contrast. She was treated like she was being dramatic. This worsened when they pulled a curtain and spoke about her, assuming she couldn't hear. We both could. She needed a shot of epi and to be sent to the ER but they saw breathing difficulties, striations, and a rapidly spreading rash as nothing. They seemed to care more about getting her out of there than helping her. Personally, I need an MRI but I will not be able to get one. Guess we'll wait until I'm passed out in an ER. read more

It is clean, nice staff. But, they need more radiologists. The staff person was having trouble positioning me at the correct angle for the MRI machine to get a good angle and seemed to need the assistance of a supervisor but none was available. When the test was done she called for a radiologist to make sure the images were good, in case any images in the sequence needed to be re-done. But after waiting in the machine for awhile they told me they couldn't get ahold of a radiologist. They said I would get the results within a week but I am still waiting on them. I called the phone number I found online to inquire about delayed results (Radiologist Reading Room), and the staff member I spoke to was very nice but I am still waiting....and hoping the MRI images were actually clear enough to be helpful. So far it has been 10 days and still the radiologist has not read the report I was told. Ugh. read more

Archaic medical practice. Staff still, in a responsibility - shirking and passive-aggressive manner, refuse to use modern Gd contrast (gadopiclenol - FDA approved in 2022) instead using the obsolete forms that expose patients to twice the dose of heavy metal. Appointment staff are so poorly trained/informed they don't even know what gadopiclenol is or if it's available or not. MR safety committee / Waquas leadership team in radiology are uncaring and endangering patients, IMO, based on my reading of the medical research which they apparently didn't review. Unable to reach the UCSF MRI radiology folks for answers. I went for a MRI last week. Would like them to answer questions below or refer me to a radiologist for an actual consult. Calling (415) 353-2573, there's no appropriate option to reach a human. Concerns/questions: I asked for a copy of the safety / information sheet on the gadolinium contrast and the tech didn't have one and didn't know if such a thing existed even and said I could ask at the front desk and when I was leaving there was no one at the front desk and I waited 15 minutes and no one showed up. I think it should (and is required to) be readily available. FDA says: the Medication Guide should be provided to any patient who requests the information.† †21 CFR 208.26 - should be followed, but is not being followed. It MUST be followed. UCSF dispensers of Gd contrast are violating US Law by failing to provide a "Medication Guide" every time I've asked. (2022:) I also had questions about the contrast agents because there's a newer one that has half the gadolinium in it and I was wondering if there was any data on whether that means it's any safer or results in less residual Gd in the body. Is there? I have been to the UCSF MRI website section on gadolinium contrast and it covers none of these questions. I think it should. I asked my referring MD for help and his nurse referred me to the unhelpful phone #, (415) 353-2573, but there's no appropriate option to reach a human. IMPORTANT: Ask about the strength of the machine - consider asking for a 3T (or more) machine. (More T (magnet strength in Tesla) means better scans, so be sure to ask if you care.) read more

The people were friendly and the facility was clean. But it was nine THOUSAND dollars for a lumbar MRI. It's $800 if you go to a radiology group on the peninsula or South Bay. I could see it being 2-3x more in sf. But 11x more??? HELL NO. Go somewhere else if you possibly can. read more

I've been to the UCSF Radiology/Pain Mgmt clinic at China Basin on several occasions and so far each visit has been about as pleasurable as getting a needle stuck into your spine can possibly get hehe. Seriously, each person that helps me- from check-in, to triage/post-procedure observation, to the actual procedure itself, everyone has made my visits easy. Everyone is extremely nice and helpful and they go out of their way to make you feel like you're getting individualized care. Dr Javier Villanueva-Meyer oversees my epidural injections. He is super kind. He speaks with me both before and after the procedure. He has a very caring, gentle approach and explains everything in a way so that you understand. He also allows me to have a voice in my care, which I really appreciate. The clinic is quiet and not overflowing with patients. I've only seen one other patient at a time in the back area with me. So the flow is always smooth from start to finish. The parking is under the buildings and is extremely tight and difficult to navigate, especially if a rod hold your neck straight (like mine). So turning tight corners can be difficult, especially with a big car. Oh- UCSF validates parking so don't forget to bring your parking ticket up to check in with you read more

The staff is top notch: Professional & kind. I barely felt them slip in the IV to administer contrast for the MRI. The only disappointment? No Netflix! No music! No frills at UCSF China Basin, that's a Mission Bay perk, darn it. Having been in a longtime study at UCSF and getting yearly state-of-the-art MRIs for free, I know the drill though I'm usually at the other radiology facility at Mission Bay. And when I have to lie in that MRI tube, binge-watching Breaking Bad or listening to a stream of 80s music, it makes the time pass very quickly. So if you have a choice, ask to get your MRI at Mission Bay and enjoy that flip down screen inside the MRI tube to watch some Netflix & chill. (Just don't forget to wear your contacts if you need them because anything metal like eyeglasses are a no-go: They'll fly across the room and attach themselves to the magnet.) read more

Did you know Yelp got started when the CEO of the company was building his company and couldn't find a good doctor in the neighborhood? Well, I love that we get to review doctors, hospitals, miracle workers, super heroes, etc. I feel this is how we can help others and save lives with reviews aka word of mouth! I'm not sure how those hospital surveys really work, and who they really share it with. Thank goodness for the amazing staff at China Basin for squeezing in my son for an urgent MRI via IV. I have never seen an MRI done this way, but it detected/highlighted problem areas STAT! The waiting rooms and changing rooms are clean, and so are the restrooms. Bottled waters were offered, tissues & napkins available, and hand sanitizers everywhere. Clear signage about free Wi-Fi, parking validation, and putting away belongings. Our entire experience from Mission Bay to China Basin was less hectic thanks to staff communicating effectively. The staff at Mission Bay radiology (review forthcoming) advised us to go to this location ASAP. Good thing I know the city like the back of my hand, and immediately I knew it's the one by the ball park. I ordered Lyft to avoid the madness around this part of the city, and left our car with valet at Mission Bay. Our crazy Lyft driver got us here within 7 minutes even waiting on Caltrain crossing. As a mom, it's nice to have semi-closure on why our son is suffering from excruciating back pain. The doctors know which direction to go from here, and I can finally sleep a little. We are headed back to Mission Bay again. I'm just happy to know he's in good hands at a top-notch hospital. Our son was also born at the Parnassus location, so UCSF holds a special place in my heart. My experience with the radiology dept has been very good both times I visited but I'm gonna shout from the roof tops about a particular nurse Don N who administered prep care. I have had plenty of IV's inserted on the top of my hands and they always been painful and some with very bad bruising. I've developed anxiety and fear every time this is supposed to be happening. Nurse Don N prepared my hand in a way that no one ever tried, he positioned my hand in a manner that no one's ever done, and he talked me through it. The result a nearly painless IV stick( yes singular) and no bruising! I hope anyone who ever has had an awful experience with IV's in the hand gets the care they need without pain. Really- I think the hospital should have him do a training video it may make such a difference for the patients. read more

It was time for another brain MRI and the Parnassus facility was booked solid, so they referred me to the China Basin Radiology and I'm so happy they did. I was able to book an appointment that was good for me, my commute was shorter and faster than going to Parnassus and they validated parking. This location is located across from Oracle Park and was a breeze to get to. I gave myself enough time if I ran into traffic, but I was fortunate and didn't have any. Since I was so early, my wife and I walked to Starbucks that was nearby. This facility is clean and easy to find. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly, as were the technicians and other staff. I didn't have any problems and the process was as easy as I could have hoped for. Going forward, I'm going to try and book this location for my future Brain MRI's. Kudos to the staff for being very professional and courteous. read more

Needed an MRI but I'm claustrophobic. I was told that UCSF Radiology had a newer "wide bore" MRI machine with a bigger tunnel that they use for claustrophobic patients. I booked my appointment and hoped for the best. Well it turns out the wide bore name is misleading. I learned that it's only a couple of inches bigger than the regular size MRI and equally claustrophobic. It didn't help that the technician had zero bedside manner and did nothing to help relieve my anxiety. The two stars is only for the nice lady at the reception desk. If you're even a little bit claustrophobic I recommend finding an open or upright MRI somewhere else. read more

Marietta Escalona put in my IV for my CT scan today. She was outstanding in her skill. Told me she did a "blind stick" meaning that she could barely see or feel my vein, but got it in the first time. My veins are small and have always been hard to find. Often it takes more than 1 person and multiple tried. Marietta was also very warm and personable. The best! read more

A true nightmare to deal with. We've got an appointment with dr Edwards only to find out right after that we would have put through a nightmare just to schedule a routine MRI. Unprofessional imaging department. Called for an estimate of price. Number 4153534500, dialed option 4 and then again 4 only to have a rude employee to hung up the phone on my face. 5 days later still no success in getting a single human being to actually perform their duties. Keep in mind that UCSF is very slow in dealing with the insurance and it will take them up to 14 days to ask the insurance for an authorization before you get any imaging done. A nightmare. Once again unfortunately I had to experience the rudeness and unprofessionalism of the front desk at this facility. The last clerk was Richard in Feb 2019. I have no idea what this female's name was but I could think of a few names that would fit her. She kept interrupting me and wouldn't listen to what I was asking even though she had misunderstood my reason for calling completely. This one needs to be fired. The front desk clerk gives the initial and lasting impression of the entire staff. Thank you to Dr. Vinil Shah, nurses Matthew M., Susan and any other team member I may have missed who made my recent procedure as seamless as possible. Their professional, yet caring, compassionate attitude and expertise put me completely at ease. I am now, two days later, at home enjoying the joy of a pain free spine. Super nice staff and facility! We parked in a handicap zone on the street which was right in front of the ramp that led straight to Lobby 6 (their front door!) . We came from out of town and arrived really early because we didn't run into any of the anticipated traffic issues. They got me registered and started anyway. I did not get the procedure until the scheduled time but somehow the wait didn't seem that long here. The lumbar puncture went very well. I have had one elsewhere that a nerve was touched and it is not a comfortable feeling. This was perfect. No issues at all. They talked to me each step of the way so I wasn't wondering what was going to happen next. (Sorry Dr. I can only remember LAG?? I remember your face!) We were able to laugh and joke a little after. This is a review of the newer UCSF China Basin, which includes Primary Care, not just Radiology. The receptionists seem ok - in contrast with the usual UCSF receptionists at other clinics, who seem pretty rude - at least, rude to people they look down on at first glance, and nicer to people they like based on appearance and ethnicity. Maybe the receptionists here get constant patient surveys, so that's why they're motivated to be on better, less discriminatory behavior. China Basin Primary Care gets 0 stars because of Paul Linde, MD. In pretty much every visit, he was condescending - like almost everyone towards me - what they're wrongly seeing as a lowly, unattractive, fresh off the boat Asian, though I'm American-born and more hipster/SJW than they are. I'm basically seen as lower than pond scum in white-loving SF. Despite all my patient surveys giving feedback on his performance in each visit - I didn't see his judgmental attitude towards me get any better. He went on a leave of absence for a few months - supposedly because his son had some issues - but after he came back, he failed to schedule any appointments with me for months afterwards. Finally - maybe due to some nudging from higher-ups - he scheduled an appointment with me - months after he came back from his leave of absence. I think he typically sees patients every 2 weeks - but because he didn't like me, he tried to let it drag on as long as possible. Some of the dumbest, most judgmental people are high-achieving doctors - and they're even more on their high horse if they're a faculty member. Their utter arrogance and disdain towards me is hurtful, unacceptable, and damaging to my emotional health and sanity. It's ironic that I'm coming to UCSF to get better - but instead, they're making me feel much worse, stressed, and anxious due to their unjust treatment towards me. He saw me as a disease or specimen - I was shocked at what he had written about me - even though I kind of expected that from previous doctor notes about me. He didn't see me as a full, respected human with all my qualities, experiences, insights, passions - I was none of that - just a curious specimen to be prodded and examined - like some one-celled organism he probably looked through in a microscope in some class. Then there was the last visit - I didn't think it went any worse than any of my previous visits. But soon afterwards, I received a messily hand-scrawled letter that was extremely rude and antagonistic in its tone. He sounded immature, too, like an angry 3-year-old. For no apparent reason, he didn't want to see me as a patient anymore. When I politely messaged him about why, he answered in a curt, condescending way - and gave no further explanation. The whole thing was incredibly unprofessional - and unprofessional is one of many negative traits I could give to UCSF doctors, staff, scheduling systems, etc. UCSF is a huge, big mess. Doctors and staff, including the much-lauded ones - are consistently arrogant, rude to some patients like me, stereotyping, racist, lookist, and incompetent. Some government or third party agency needs to conduct a thorough investigation of all of UCSF's clinics and staff - there's an unbelievable LACK of common courtesy, kindness, fairness, knowledge, effectiveness, and integrity among the doctors and staff there. UCSF gets to rest on its laurels because it's known as a "world-class" medical center - so it can easily and constantly get away with extremely sub-par, racist, lazy, unprofessional, poor quality of "care." They constantly send patient surveys, but their poor quality of "care" never improves. read more

Visited this UCSF facility for an MRI. Parking was free after validation and located underground. Comfortable, open spaces from waiting to dressing rooms. Technologists and front counter staff were polite and courteous throughout, showing concern and consideration for my comfort during the MRI procedure. They quickly provided a copy of the images upon my request, then days later faxed me the radiologist's report. Overall, excellent service and facility, although the location in the midst of a heavily trafficked China Basin area is a bit tricky when driving here. Would tell anybody going to this location, that the underground parking is very tight and bring a compact car. Medium to full-size vehicles will not fit in this place very easily. I just had a complex PET CT scan at this facility. Raven, my coordinator, and the entire clinical staff were on top of everything from beginning to end. Not only they went out of their way to really put me at ease, but also operated with the utmost punctuality and efficiency required by the PET CT. I am particularly grateful to Dora for managing my wait-list request, and giving me a chance to back-fill a last minute cancellation. All in all, the whole experience felt like a G-d send. read more

Went here on a weekend for an MRI. Easy to get to by public transportation. Reception desk staff was pleasant. Although I arrived early I was still not seen until 25 minutes after my scheduled appointment. One downside is that the waiting area is quiet (that's good) and so it is easy to hear personal conversations of the staff at the reception desk (not good). The MRI tech Michelle was friendly, informative and efficient! She made me very comfortable during the test. read more

I got to my appointment on time the receptionist and nurse whom brought me back were excellent! I got there at 10:06 for a 10:30 appt., checked me in at 10:20. I got into the room stripped down to the robe and literally sat there for 50 minutes. Nobody even checked on me. Dr. Malcolorson, she came into the room like it was no big deal. I told her this is unacceptable someone could've came in to let me know something. I was sitting there for almost an hour. Nobody came in and she really didn't care she said sometime she goes home and doesn't even have dinner. That had nothing to do with my appointment. I understand if there is an emergency but let the patient know that you're going to take an hour to see them. She very unprofessional and should book patients out at least two hours. She very unprofessional! She needs time management class. read more

Amazing facility and medical staff. Never had a problem with them until now... BEWARE OF THE BILLING DEPARTMENT, we had scans scheduled since January and have private, very good insurance. China Basin billing didn't send the authorization request to my insurance until FRIDAY AFTERNOON WHEN SCANS WERE SCHEDULED TO BEGIN THE FOLLOWING TUESDAY! China Basin called me to cancel the scans (which by the way are for a TEEN WITH CANCER). I was told the reason for cancellation was a "medical issue" NOT THE TRUTH which is they FORGOT to send it to insurance!!! This patient has had scans here with the same insurance for the past year and a half! Rude, rude management in billing. We were offered to keep the appointments and sign a waiver stating we would be responsible for the charges if insurance didn't pay. Really? So your GROSS ERROR is not only putting a cancer patient in jeopardy by putting off SCHEDULED scans, but now we are to pay for your mistake. UNREAL!!! You would think a facility with such wonderful, skilled employees would train their billing department to know PUTTING OFF CANCER SCANS EVEN A WEEK CAN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE IF SOMETHING SHOWS UP! Can you imagine our private cost for a CT scan, Injection and MIBG scan if we had to pay? We have filed a formal complaint with patient relations at UCSF and are waiting the outcome. Scans will be done on time, due to my five hours of calling the insurance company. I will post the outcome of my complaint. read more

Should have read the other help reviews before coming here. Appointment was for 2-4pm. At 4pm was when they took my daughter to give her the dye before procedure. Dye takes an hour to sit before procedure. Needless to say we drove 5.5 hours to get to this appointment and still have a 5.5 hour return trip home. The disrespect of patients time and circumstances is not acceptable. What a horrible thing to do to people struggling. Maybe if they didn't double book appointments things could go more smoothly. this is without a doubt in my mind the best imaging center of all of ucsf. they have 3T MRI, 1.5T MRI, 7T MRI, DEXA, PET, CT, nursing station, nuclear imaging...and much more. they have a high resolution peripheral quantitative computed tomography scanner with the ability to scan at 82 microns. simply amazing. steve job should take notes. the staff are excellent and very attractive, especially the research associates. read more

They require you to arrive 30 min early for your imaging but make you wait and wait with no acknowledgement or apology. Had a brain scan and the radiologist failed to identify several major issues including a large mass. Their radiologist also missed major issues including a bladder mass on my last scan. You are unable to ask questions of radiology and they work in a vacuum with poor performance and no accountability. These failures can cost you your life so beware. read more

Experience with technicians, doctors, and rest of staff is excellent. The problem is with their billing department. They don't care about the patient or the family of the patient. They had a doctor order in January and did not send the request to insurance for approval until two days before the can and then called to cancel the scans due to a Medical issue !! Really? We just went through 24 months of chemo, radiation, bone marrow transplant, antibody treatment.. All to get to a place where we need to scan every quarter and pray there is no relapse. Then to have hem lie to cover up their mistake with a lie that causes serious anxiety on the patient and the family. Unreal. The one star would be five if it were not for the incredibly incompetent and thoroughly rude billing department. read more

We recently traveled to San Francisco for a PET Scan for my husband at the China Basin facility. We had a very nice experience, our nurse explained the PET scan process to my husband in a pleasant Irish brogue, in language which was easy to understand and definitely placed him at ease. While the hubster had his scan, I hung out in the interior waiting area, and had a chance to appreciate the interaction of the medical staff with several other patients, and what I observed were very high levels of empathy and patience. We spend a great deal of time in the company of medical professionals, and this was definitely on the scale for thoughtfulness and respect for the patient. Great facilities! I like the free parking downstairs (validated if you have an appointment), though the tiny parking spots are really hard to maneuver. They recently added free wifi, which is great for guests like me to be able to get work done while in the waiting room. Facilities are clean, and the staff are all friendly. Why why why doesn't this place have a laboratory? I end up having to drive over to Mt Zion to get blood tests done first, before coming here. (In certain cases, a Creatinine is required before a CT scan) I once spoke to the Chief Technologist of Nuclear Medicine and PET to get a radiology scan covered by a government sponsored research study; she was helpful at first but with once things got complicated (insurance needed to pre-authorize scan for the government study to pay for the scan; however insurance wouldn't pre-authorize it because it was not covered under insurance -- duh!), she pushed off the issue to the billing department who was unhelpful. Ah, the stupid bureaucracy (government, hospital, and insurance) that makes life so hard. EDIT: just wanted to add that they can test for Creatinine levels here! saves me a drive to a UCSF lab! Pros: Very friendly techs, nurses. Lady at the front desk with the glasses is so nice and very helpful. Staff cared that I was comfortable. Cons: Tough parking (it's next to ATT park so parking is at a premium). Also there's an odd, rude receptionist named Richard. He seemed preoccupied with gossiping about 'difficult' patients. He got snippy when I interrupted him to get my parking validated. Not a pleasant end to the day. Overall though a very good facility. More stars if it were not for the last experience. read more

Highly efficient and personable staff, who appear enthusiastic about their jobs. Also a very nice, modern facility with windows to the outside world close by the machines, which isn't typical in a radiology department. "I went to UCSF Precision Spine and Nerve center at China Basin. That started me on a very good path for dealing with leg pain and narrowing in my spine. I had developed severe pain in the back of my legs and was diagnosed by a neurologist as having a fairly serious case of spinal lumbar stenosis. I did not want spinal surgery! I asked what else I could do. I was referred to UCSF's Precision Spine Center at China Basin. There, I got injections as a treatment from Dr Chin that were precise and targeted. (They used image cameras to be able place medication where it calmed inflammation in my spine and my spinal lumbar stenosis.) It worked! I could do physical therapy with a wonderful PT, Dr. Margaret Anderson. The physical therapy greatly reduced the implications of the stenosis. I now no longer have the severe pain that I had. I can exercise normally and routinely enjoy strenuous activity, such as squash and skiing, and maintenance physical therapy. This week - now more than three and a half years later - I just went back to the physical therapist and she and I are both pleased by how far I have come-back to a pre-stenosis normal! Just finished my MRI, hanging out in the pleasant and comfortable waiting rm while having complimentary tea and water. Staff is v professional and kind and considerate. Everyone knew what they were doing, and had excellent pt interaction skills. My IV poke was painless. My rad tech, Alvin, made me feel completely relaxed. Everyone wanted me to be as comfortable as possible. I've have too many MRIs to count over the past 13 years; this was the best! read more

The staff at the MRI and PET Scan centers used to be super friendly and helpful but the quality seems to have nosedived in the last few months. Not sure if this is due to any labor shortage or cost cutting but my last experience(April 16) was extremely unpleasant. After changing into the hospital provided gown, I was left alone for an hour and 37 minutes in a waiting room with no updates on what's causing the delay. Even when the technician finally came to get me, he was brusque, did not bother about the delay and took me to the scanning room with minimal conversation. Usually, they offer a warm blanket while being laid in the scanner as they keep the room reall cold but he did not ask and I had to specifically ask for it or else I would have been extremely cold in the 45-60 minutes it took to finish the scan After the scan was complete, the tech didn't bother giving my after scan instructions ( drink lots of non cafeinated liquids to flush the contrasts etc.). They used to hand out bottles of water and granola bars for those who have been fasting for 8-9 hours by then but seemed to have discontinued that now. I then went back to the men's dressing room to change and overheard an elderly gentleman complain that there was no one to help him change. Apparently he had some difficulty changing clothes but none of the nurses or techs bothered to check on him. He asked me if I could get his wife from the waiting area and so I did and she was able to get him to the tiny cubicle to change. Overall the facility just felt really empty, as if they are running with skeletal staff. For the 10s of thousands that they charge for each of these scans, you'd hope for basic level of courtesy and professionalism. But this particular facility fails miserably in that front.
