My first time using this service and it was mostly positive. The repair was fast and went smoothly. Only negatives were that the clerk told me they would call when the repair was completed (they had my phone so how could I receive the call) and he neglected to tell me that I could track the status of the repair on-line. This was completely the worst experience I have ever had in a while. I took my iPhone to have the data transferred to a scandisk, this was on a Monday, i was without my phone. I was told it would take a few days. I received a call two days later saying they didn't have the scandisk and i could come back the following week. The guy Sabastian just kept bluntly lying to me to sum in up a week later he stated he was waiting on the disk and this is weeks later after I picked up my phone and called to follow up he will not answer my calls I wasn't rude or anything this is just terrible customer service, sliver lining is i learned to do it myself no thanks to this company they suck, listen if that's not enough a young lady came while i was there picking up my cell and she was very upset because she had wanted almost 5 hours to get her glass protector changed. He acted like he could care less had the nerve to tell l me he was about to celebrate he one year anniversary there WOW I wonder if the owners know how he is ruining their name and business, A YEAR is a lot of time for a business to lose ALOT OF customers!!! read more

Very disappointed in all aspects of the store and the asurion corporation. I made an appointment to stop by the store and have my cell phone checked because of a minor problem. This appointment resulted in my having to make another appointment in two days. Over that period of time, I was able to correct the problem. I still kept the second appointment just to make sure that the problem had been solved. While waiting for a tech to check out the phone, the front desk clerk suggested that I would be better off financially if I signed a monthly contract @ $29 per. I agreed. After finally receiving a 12 page contract in the mail, and being billed $29 on my credit card, I called asurion to cancel the contract (which I had the legal right to do). During a very protracted phone call with three different employees (in three different departments) I was finally told that there was no record of my name. email address or my phone number. Asurion's solution was for me to return to the store and resolve the matter with a clerk. I declined to waste more of my time. Instead, I called the credit card company and arranged to block any future charges from asurion. I don't dispute the one time $29 charge for a quick check of my phone. But, all in all, a very bad experience with a ``tech'' company. read more

I get the sense that this is heavily overpriced. Waiting in line, I heard the employee was trying to soften the blow of incredibly expensive repairs by offering student and military discounts of 10%, which felt more like a sales tactic. Nearly $300 for screen repairs or basic hardware repairs is hefty, but nearly every customer in line, including me, said something like, "well it's cheaper than a new phone." The big blow is that my screen is now exceptionally laggy. Turns out this is just an after market 3rd party screen, and I have a feeling I just spent $280 for a laggy 3rd party screen I wish I just got for $40 and got a trusted tech friend to do it. I called about the lag and the representative was pretty defensive and un empathetic. I have a feeling they're going to just blame the lag on my phone and gaslight me if I bring it in. The employees seem kind but green / new and I overheard them talking about quotas. It feels like they're driven by commissions - kind of felt like I was taking my car to the mechanic everyone knows is just trying to squeeze as much money as they can out of the uninformed. read more

I want to start out by stating that I tried to work with this company to come up with a satisfactory resolution prior to posting this poor review. I have been paying for Asurion's Home+ protection plan for almost 2 years at $25 per month, and for the first time I tried to use it. I took my All-In-One computer in to a YouBreakIFix store so I could have it repaired while I was on vacation. I use this for some PT work I do, so I thought the timing would work out great. The shop diagnosed it and said they could order the parts to repair it, but I needed an authorization from Asurion. I reached out to them and they told me the YouBreakIFix store was not qualified to fix it, so now I have to get on the phone during my vacation to resolve it. I am on the phone for about 40 minutes going though the Customer Service Rep, and then having to speak with a Supervisor because the first person was only qualified to keep providing me the same message. There was also a language barrier with the first rep, so they no doubt farm the calls out to a call center. After explaining to Supervisor the shop assured me they could fix it, and then learning there was a $99 fee on top of the premium I was paying (which I had not been informed of until now) he agreed to send the authorization to the store and to waive the fee. He then told me that he was not able to send the authorization to the store near my home because the computer systems between Asurion and the store could not communicate with each other. Since these are supposedly "tech" companies, that was a little suspect, but whatever. He says he will UPS a box for me to ship my computer to their facility for repairs, and that it should take them about 5 business days to repair it and get it back to me. I get an email from UPS that the process is started and then wait days without hearing anything. I contact UPS and they said that the process was not completed by Asurion. I have to call Asurion again to see what is going on. They apologize and say they will send another box. The box arrives about 3 days later and when I go to ship my computer I realize the box they sent is not even close to being able to fit my computer into it. So far, I am working harder than the company. I have to call again on a Sunday and they explain they will send another box. By now, that is not good enough, because i am about a month into this and it could have been repaired at the original shop during my week's vacation. I have to jump through hoops to get to another supervisor. I suggest that they offer to cover the cost of a replacement device since their system of getting the work done has not been capable of doing so. The supervisor says they will send another box and will try to expedite the process. They will not consider the replacement idea. Please do yourself a favor and do not use this company. They want to take your money and then come up with reasons why they cannot complete their end of the bargain. Just set aside $25 per month and when something breaks, go get a new one yourself. My computer is still not fixed and is sitting on the desk in my home waiting on yet another box to be shipped. read more

My wife's phone bricked itself out of the blue so I took it here for them to take a look at it the next morning. I took my tablet in expecting the worst. Within a day they had fixed what I thought was unfixable. All three J's (the guys who worked in the store) were very helpful - letting me know what they could or could not do. I took my Toshiba laptop in due to a whirring noise. The tech said the only moving part is the fan, which he simply cleaned. That should take care of the noise and he didn't charge anything! After hearing that, my husband decided to have his iPhone battery replaced. $50 for that. We're both happy with the work!! read more

I came in to get the screen replaced on my iPhone 11. The price I was charged was exactly what I was quoted and the job was done in a timely manner as promised. The problem comes in the fact that my new screen creates a message that I will have to look at every time I open up this phone for the rest of my time with this phone. The issue I have is that they knew this would be the case but did not let me know prior to performing the service. It would've been worth it to me to spend a few extra dollars for an Apple screen in order to avoid having to see this message every time I pick up my phone. The problem I have is in their disclosure, I think it's important to let somebody know that they will have an annoyance to deal with each time they pick up their phone as a result of having their phone serviced with them. When I went back and questioned them about this the next day they were like "oh yeah you're gonna have to deal with that from now on there's nothing that we can do." So now my choice is to spend an even larger amount to have it fixed with an Apple screen or be annoyed multiple times a day going forward. A simple conversation in the beginning would have prompted me to save money and have it fixed to my standards from the start, but whatever resulted in less business for them, which I'm sure is why they withheld that information. read more
