I have struggled with almost life long UTI's and then started feeling like I always had a UTI but…read morewas testing clean after awhile and was recommended to WNY Urology. Shortly before my appointment I hurt my lower back and had even more side effects from that, that became concerning so I wrote up my symptoms and some questions for the doctor. When I went in for my first appointmnet I was surprised at how many people there were and stood in line for awhile. They took my insurance information then had me give a urine sample and then take a seat to be called. The shear volume of people was crazy, but I figured with the long list of doctor's at this practice it wasn't that big of a stretch. I waited for about 20 to 25min and they called me back to see Dr. Chevli. With questions in hand I went back with my husband and we met Dr. Chevli for the first time. He was a very pleasant and thorough doctor and set up a panel of tests to be run to find out what the problem was. I was still having UTI symptoms but tested negative for infection so he gave me my slip for the blood work and testing and I was sent to scheduling. I felt at ease with this doctor and knew I would be back because of this. They were able to draw my blood work there and also ran a series of tests to check my bladder. Scheduling was a grueling wait and at least one of my visits there I had to leave before being scheduled due to having other appointments, but they were happy to schedule over the phone. The staff seemed over worked, but polite and efficient. After all my tests were run I was diagnosed with Interstial cystitis and recieved medication to relieve my symptoms, followed up with a bladder stretching which I have done several times now. The doctor always came in with a calm and reassuring demeanor and always stated that he would get me some relief soon and he did. I did not give them a 5 star because of the sheer wait there was when scheduling tests and appointments and some of the staff seemed over worked and frustrated. And also because of their lax covid meassures. As I am immuno compromised, can get sick easily and wear my mask most of the time even as mask mandates loosened. Dr. Chevli is an amazing doctor and I trust him immensely. He is kind, has a wonderful bed side manner and if you are in need of an urologist I would highly recommend!

I don't know the receptionist name she was the one facing the door the first one seen when coming in.. This is regarding two separate appointments. The first appointment several months back when we came in she was chatting on the phone and we stood there waiting and waiting. She clearly was not talking to anyone about anything to do with this business. After a while she in a disrespectful way waved her hands for us to go down the side of the counter pointing to a gentleman that was working on a computer there. So we walked down there and he angrily asked, "why are you down here??" The woman that with me said she told us to come down here she's on the phone. He got upset and said loudly she's always on the phone! He then disgustedly said okay give me your paperwork then. I said to my girl "hey look this guy is red faced upset". After that he calmed down and was somewhat nicer. My complaint is not about him, because he had a reason to be upset as it appeared that wasn't his job to do and he had to stop in the middle of what he was working on on his computer. Well I just had another appointment there. Walked in with my paperwork and she was having a long talk with somebody at the counter. And I mean 15 minutes at least . When he finally left I walked up and nicely asked if I'm supposed to sign in , because I was not sure if I should just wait until the doctor called me in. But she seemed to take offense as though I asked that because she was chatting so long.and gave me a very hateful look and wouldn't take care of me. ...just sat there staring me down. The very nice woman sitting next to her behind the counter said "here I will be glad to help you ". I have had pain in the side of my face so I occasionally have a slight twitch sometimes in my face , when I looked over at the receptionist in question she unbelievably appeared to mimick me when I did...unreal !! She also made a point of sitting there doing her nails while staring me down which I think was a message to me that she could have easily taken care of my paperwork if she had wanted to because she had nothing to do. She continued to stare me down with hateful looks the whole time I was there at the counter. Is this the person that they want to be the first thing people have to deal with when they walk in there? as representative to the great doctors and nurses that work there ?? For me , it makes it hard to even want to go back there again. But if I do I will demand to see the Personnel manager if this childishness happens again . I am considering putting in a formal complaint about this . That is something I've never done and hate to do , but a representative behaving that way when the people coming in there are fighting to survive is inexcusable.

He then asked the doctor if they had something he could bite down on when they started the test. The doctor chuckled and handed him a gauze square. The doctor didn't show any concern as to why this would have caused pain. My son then stated that he couldn't handle going forward. Dr. Aliotta then abruptly dropped the scope and tore off his gloves and literally threw them on my sons lap and walked out of the room!! This is the most unprofessional behavior I have ever heard of! Dr. Aliotta didn't even try to console my son, or encourage him in any manner! My son is not a whimp, he is 33 and been in chronic pain with Rheumatoid Arthritis for over 10 years. I don't care how much experience Dr. Aliotta has or his skill level, he showed a complete disregard for my sons complaints and did not treat him with dignity. The whole Western New York Urology group runs like a factory assembly line. I can't imagine any of the patients going there are treated like anything other than a number and a means to bill insurance companies for these multiple procedures!!!

Despite my appointment being scheduled for 9am that day, I wasn't even seen by a nurse up until after about 10am. After waiting around for a few hours, the doctor ordered two different tests at two different locations in two different parts of town. Very inconvenient that they were not even able to draw your blood at this location and had you go to Kaleida Health. What a pain! I can't imagine a doctor's office that refers patients 5 miles away to simply get their blood drawn. Maybe they get a nice hefty commission from Kaleida Health because of it...? Once the results came in, I really wanted the doctor to just give me a simple phone call to let me know if everything was OK. Nope -- he wouldn't do that. He had me schedule another appointment (lucky for me, they were able to get me in pretty quick that time around) only to take 5 minutes to tell me that everything is OK and I had nothing to worry about. Oh, but of course -- you have to pay the nice fees for the visit and everything, not to mention lose part of your day. Not efficient at all. Despite all that time spent, I ended up going to another urologist for a second opinion a few months later. The service I received there was night and day. I was in and out in less than half an hour with the doctor telling me exactly what he thought was the issue and that there truly is nothing to be concerned about. I probably sound like a huge hypochondriac, but I figure if you're concerned about something like this -- may as well get it seen. I would not suggest this doctor's office though based on my own personal experience.

Someone else answered and took 20 min worth of information and explained the scheduling secretary would be giving me a call back with an appointment. NO ONE ever called me back. DAY 3 i called back to see did they have an appointment yet, they told me someone would be giving me a call back. When the person called me back it was NOT the scheduling secretary, they did NOT have a date, and WOULD NOT make an appointment without my exact insurance card numbers which i did not have because i was at work. I asked to speak to the manager, the person (who sounded like a child) said they weren't available, but i could hear the "manager" telling her what to say behind the phone. When i asked was there a way for me to make a complaint to Dr. Deberry directly...the phone conveniently hung up. The whole office needs training on how to be professional. I loved Dr. Deberry before but after dealing with his office staff i will never again go there or recommend a soul!
