My driver was wonderful I gave her a good tip. But. To get my reciept. I practically had to beg Uber's Ai. To send have my Receipt sent I am insulted and furious I had a great trip By having to beg for my reciept ruined my experience. I don't understaffed why uber drivers can't print a reciept. What is the point of telling me to be at "X" location at "Y" time if you aren't actually going to arrive when you said you would? This wad not an on-the-fly request. This had been set up some TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE! The first driver flaked out at 2 minutes late and the second was so tardy, I simply gave up and cancelled. This was my first experience with Uber and it was a disaster. If the pick up were on me to call in for, it might have gone better. Uber routinely misleads clients into canceling rides and charging an cancellation fee. They ask customers to proceed with the cancellation but do not inform on any applicable fee. In my instance, I'll file a complaint with my attorney general's office because it forced consumers into a blatantly unethical situation that should be investigated. read more

Drivers were polite and helpful. 1. I was charged $25 for cancelling when the driver was still 20 minutes away and there was another driver available 3 minutes away. I expected the $5 cancellation fee, but $25!!!! Not reasonable... 2. Also close to $5.00 for booking the trip? That is an added fee on your bill, so it appears the car trip is cheaper than the actual bill. 3. No phone number for help. There is an app for this business. You can see drivers and their expected arrival time. Once you pick driver, you can message each other for more detail. You can talk to driver readily or not and indicate if you want tap on or off, temperature up or down... I've loved the experience. Polite drivers asking if air temperature was o.k., No trying to get more money via longer routes, no money exchange except on app. Insurance via Uber while customers in vehicle. Ability to Tip is also in app. BMW and Prius so far. read more

Appallingly bad service in the suburbs of Savanna. If you think you're booking a trip in advance you're not. They just look around for cars 10 minutes before your "reserved" time. They will confirm your reservation then tell you there are no cars available. If you need to get somewhere on time make another arrangement. missing a flight now and re-booking. be certain that you will be charged for not canceling if the driver doesn't want to pick you up. There's a new sneaky way to try to get extra money from your debit cards with the drivers and they always find loopholes to encrypt the system. So it seems uber will give you a ride to tybee island. But they won't pick you back up. So I have personally encountered 5 groups of people. Mothers with small children, college girls, etc. that have been abandoned on the island. The taxi services are no better. Why bother bringing them out here if you're not going to pick people up from here. read more

I will NEVER use them. Apparently you can not schedule a ride on a future date and time, I have trip to the airport next week at 4:00 am. I did not ant to wait until 4:00 in the morning to request a ride. While on your app, trying to find were to select a date and time, I booked the ride for right then and although I canceled it seconds later I was charged for the ride. I tried to contact UBER but there is no phone # or email address listed for customer support. I used the the customer service/FAQ link on the site and they reduced the charge to $5. BUT it is completely beyond my understanding how a company can have no way to contact customer service. That they care so little about their customer's experience that they will not provide a way to contact them. They have no problem emailing me every day to try and sell me but I am not aloud to ever contact them????? Like I said, I will never use them! I will use a local cab company. I take Uber a lot and from various cities. When I went to visit Savannah it was no different; I used it over 10 times. I'm not sure if it was and culture shock of Southern Hospitality but every single Uber driver was above and beyond nice and personable from giving me recommendations to restaurants to even one providing a number of lit up phone chargers in the back seat. Also all but one had kept their cars smelling very fresh (the other was an obvious smoker). A lot of them spoke highly of their driving experience working with Uber. read more

Uber is a poor business. They went from initially priding themselves on strong customer service that rivaled the taxi. This used to be the case; however, as of late this is no longer true. On New Years Eve coming into 2016 it appears that Uber decided to slip in some surge pricing. Now normally I wouldn't be upset by this; but when a 12 mile ride costs $262.60 it gets a little outrageous. The worst part is the customer service. You can not call them. You can only send emails and their 12 hour response time is less than desirable. Needless to say I am still in an email battle with them where they refuse to be helpful. I did however have a very good cab ride the other night. Positive part of all of this is that free market economics has caused cabs to improve. I won't be taking an uber again anytime soon. read more

Be careful with this app - I use Uber in DC a lot and surge pricing is noted quite obviously when you look for a ride. I was quoted $45 for a ride from downtown Savannah to Hilton Head and was ultimately charged $145. I am very familiar with the app and absolutely did not agree to the 3x surge price. Uber won't budge and I'm out $100 - they were less than helpful. read more

I am only rating one star because I cannot rate it 0 stars. I have been using uber for almost three years now and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I was left in a bad section of town at night and my girlfriend and I were harassed, especially my girlfriend. On top of this, the uber driver charged me $150 for a cleaning fee for vomit that was not ours. Uber has been uncompliant and unwilling to help me in the slightest. They wont even respond to my last email regarding the incident. I suggested that it could have been by mistake but they have been completely unresponsive and unwilling to help. I would advise anyone in the savannah area and now using uber in general to be careful of scam and fraud. This has been an awful experience and I may never, ever use uber again. read more
