Using them for convenience, especially in a commercial vehicle, prevents individuals with mobility challenges from accessing the space. Taxi companies should ensure their drivers respect accessibility parking laws and community standards. I hope management addresses this with their drivers so these spaces remain available for those who rely on them. You have the time the incident happened, the area in which it happened... management can narrow down exactly who this customer was and call them because that customer will tell you that he is not handicapped and the store owner will also clearly tell you the customer was NOT HANDICAPPED your customer apologized for your driver behavior.

The driver was obviously disappointed by the short distance ride after we provided the address saying, "this must be my lucky day". His driving bordered on reckless. He exceeded the speed limit, he tailgated and made aggressive lane changes. He made us feel unsafe throughout the short ride. At the end of the ride, I noticed the meter was not displayed and asked him the price. He retrieved an iPad or equivalent from the floor, typed something in and then displayed the price of $39.50. This was more than double the usual fare. He stated it was "because there was a minimum fare which he would have told us if we asked". I looked up the base fare which is $4 with an additional airport fee of $3.25. Based on the mileage of our trip, total fare should have come out to less than $18. This was not only unprofessional but bordered on predatory behavior. We are Palm Springs locals that try to utilize local businesses whenever possible, but will never be using City Cab again. I contacted the company last week, but have yet to hear a response. I strongly urge other to consider Uber or Lyft.

I was headed to the courtyard at 1300 Tahquitz Canyon Way, which is 1.5 miles straight over from the airport. The total should have been about $10, which is inline with what Lyft and Uber were quoting. However, the driver insisted it was a $25 minimum flat fee. When I questioned him about it he got defensive and insisted that was the airport policy. I googled on the route and found that the MAXIMUM legal amount he could charge me to downtown was $25 and google estimated the total to be $10-15 based on airport fare policies. This makes me think he charged me as much as he could rather than what was the fair amount. I told him I would be using a credit card and he insisted it was a flat $25 fee, but when we arrived, he added a $1.50 saying it was a credit card fee despite not disclosing that earlier, insisting it was just a $25 flat fee. I regret not refusing the ride and getting out and waiting the two minutes for a Lyft. I will definitely do that next time and suggest you do the same!

Firstly, Road Runner and 4 Aces cab company work under the same dispatch so they had us communicating with both which was very confusing. I would never recommend either after our horrific experience last weekend. At our initial pickup the driver was over 20 minutes late and we missed our dinner reservation. He also didn't have a car that suited our party. He subbed out a van that did not fit all five of us with seatbelts. And when we expressed our concern to the driver himself, he laughed and said good luck getting an Uber. We had had some wine at dinner otherwise we would have driven ourselves. After dinner at our second pickup they instead sent two cars but one of the drivers was completely unsafe speeding and smelled of alcohol. We called and asked for another driver for our final destination which they could not provide so we had to find additional transportation that cost us an added out of pocket expense.
