Ubers were going for $236 and I was trying to see if I could get something cheaper. I saw Mom's Rides was available 24/7 so I figured I could give them a call since I needed to figure out a ride situation in less than 24 hours. I called around 10:53PM and she was nice over the phone telling me to send me send the addresses over so she can give me a quote. She recommended I look elsewhere if I'm looking for a cheaper ride so when I told her I would, she got upset with me and sent me this long message. Good luck to anyone asking for a quote!

The guy was griping about the small fare for the 4-6 minute drive and jokingly said it was $7.34 cash or $25.34 with card. I paid with credit card (business expense) added the maximum tip (35%) and gave him $2 more in cash. I concluded the drive by stating, " I assure you you won't have to worry about another small fare from me because you've reminded me why Lyft and Uber are the better choice." Update: received quick response from manager who seemed genuinely bothered about my experience. Taxi companies should ensure their drivers respect accessibility parking laws and community standards. I hope management addresses this with their drivers so these spaces remain available for those who rely on them. He not only took me to my resort from the airport, but after check in, took me to my specific building where my villa was located! I preferred this as a few others we called were very shady and were quoting nearly double the cost in cash only. While some may not prefer giving a credit card over the phone, it was reassuring that his driver would actually be here. That being said, we were greeted by the nicest driver (cannot remember his name), and provided a safe and comfortable drive to the airport. Firstly, Road Runner and 4 Aces cab company work under the same dispatch so they had us communicating with both which was very confusing. I would never recommend either after our horrific experience last weekend. At our initial pickup the driver was over 20 minutes late and we missed our dinner reservation. He also didn't have a car that suited our party. He subbed out a van that did not fit all five of us with seatbelts. And when we expressed our concern to the driver himself, he laughed and said good luck getting an Uber. We had had some wine at dinner otherwise we would have driven ourselves. After dinner at our second pickup they instead sent two cars but one of the drivers was completely unsafe speeding and smelled of alcohol. We called and asked for another driver for our final destination which they could not provide so we had to find additional transportation that cost us an added out of pocket expense. This is not a dependable or safe service. I would never use again.
