I had gotten a ride through my Modivcare app(which schedules rides through uber)bc of my epilepsy and it showed my ride was 1 minute away. This review isn't about the Driver, it's about UBER! I was charged twice for a single trip. So I cancelled the single trip, more than an hour before the ride and was charged the same amount as a cancellation fee! The app charges first and then doesn't give you your money back EVER! Uber Eats puts out flat rate promotions like $15/hr or $12/hr plus tips. Upon seeing those, I think any person would take that as "If I make deliveries during that timeframe, I'm guaranteed to make $15 plus tips from my deliveries per hour. That is what I thought, so I signed up for several of them. But during one of them, I drove for 2 hours and delivered 3 different orders but it looked like I only received the tips from those orders. In the 2 hours I drove, I had only made $13.23 when it seems like I should have made $15 per hour so $30 plus that $13.23. It seemed like I should have made $43.23 total with those promotions. But I did not. I contacted uber chat support about it and they did nothing to resolve it. They said with those promotions 15/60 for each minute it takes you to deliver. So $.25. So if it took me 17 minutes to deliver an order, I would make $4.25 total for that order. It's unreal to me that they would not explain that in the actual promotions. In choosing to do the promotions, I thought I would be making $90 over the course of 3 days. I only made $25. Uber chat support was completely unwilling to make it right with me and did not pay me the amount I thought I would have made. It feels like I got ripped off and they did absolutely nothing to make it right with me as someone who drives and delivers for them. Absolutely horrible. Well today I paid for an Uber ride, and as I am standing at the barbershop waiting, the Uber driver pulls. He pulled in at the bar in between 2 vehicles, and I was unable to see him. As I was standing outside side the barbershop, I received a message from Uber that my ride was canceled, and then I saw the Uber driver backing out and leaving. Then I see where they still charged me $5.50 after the ride was canceled. Uber is starting to get as bad as Lyft, and I quit using Lyft for these same reasons. Uber you suck. Oklahoma City you have NO manners and never tip so you've caused the bad service. The rich folks up north in their 1 - 5 Million dollar homes also never tip. I've done the Uber ride and private ride in my nice car complete with drinks and my black suit and tie. Treated all with respect and opened the door to and from, along with picking up the luggage. No tip at all of these wealthy homes and no tip from the daily and weekend downtowners drunk or sober....they never tip. Uber takes 50-70 % of the drivers earnings based on a mileage chart. You want a cheap ride ??? stick your thumb out or suffer a public drunk for being out after 2 AM on the streets because there are NO Ubers after 1-2 AM. How would you feel if you spent gas money, extra insurance, and extra oil change money only to discover that 90+ % of your customers think that asking you to drive 10-20 miles to them and take them somewhere while you get $20-25 dollars is a good deal. The driver is gonna miss more rides in a short circle in a downtown area vs driving you from a further distance. He or she loses that money. You get out and slam the door on a new car like its an old truck. You scuff the leather on the back seats with your high heels , leave your trash in the car, ask us to drive your extra people without seatbelts, wait on your 2-3 other friends causing us to lose another fare. You need to hire a small private car or limo. You spend all your money drinking and probably don't tip them either. But you want to go home without a DUI or a public drunk ticket or lock up for being on the street as a public intox case. Whos doing you a favor now??? If you cant afford to tip then stay home. I see you do the same thing at dinner in B10. You and your Rolex and nice suit. I tip real well and only make small wage but you get up and leave $2-3 dollars on the counter or....NO TIP on your receipt...yes I see that all the time. Remember , we don't get to see (where) you are going to until we "accept" the ride bc the app ensures you get an accepted driver. You think we like driving you 30 + miles out to get 15-25 dollars and no tip. We are allowed to drop you off in a lighted parking lot business when you get loud and unruly. Uber's reserve ahead is unreliable. My family of 19 went on a vaca and reserved 3 vehicles. We had to use 3 phones because they will only let you reserve one per phone. Anyways I reserved 3 for arrival at airport and 3 for return. All upon reserving they said all were set. Only 1 sent notice of confirmation reservation for return 2 weeks before return. 2 ubers showed up for arrival, 1 never showed and the trip disappeared off that phone's app. On return all three never showed & disappeared off all phones. Thank God we snagged a private shuttle bus who ended up being cheaper and we were all able to ride together and just made it to airport in time. The uber i rode in upon arrival was eventful. The driver yelled at other drivers and one other uber driver stopped in front of us in the middle of the road during heavy traffic because of her yelling and hand gestures and came around to passengers window. He was yelling at my husband and then my husband started yelling back. It was like something out of Jerry springer. Thank God my husband didn't get out of the car too. FYI this trip was to Miami Fla and most uber drivers there are Cuban and sent Spanish messages and speak to you in Spanish. Watch out! Uber drivers hate to take you on short trips. They say they are coming, then app says they are delayed, then they cancel and Uber charges you $5.50 because the driver cancelled. If you try to call the driver as the app says to do, the driver will simply not answer your call or it will go to the driver's voice mail. You are out of luck reaching the driver. You report that on the App and if the want, Uber will give you $5.50 in Uber cash which means you will never get your money back unless you take another ride and use it. They took your real money for a driver cancelling and gave you Uber cash refund. Not fair. And, the game by the Uber driver is to not show up on a short ride, and wait and wait. Driver is wanting YOU to cancel the ride, because you will again be charged $5.50 by Uber. Good luck on getting your $5.00 even in Uber cash. It is a big game the Uber drivers use in Panama City Florida. How do I know? A nice Uber driver explained the game to me. They told me it happens all the time. So I am now trying to get my $10.50 back from the above game. Watch out for the game. On longer trips, with more money involved, they do not play the game. I was very pleased to see OKC added as an Über city. Granted, right now they're only ÜberX, personal car service, not the black car or SUV. After reading the reviews for Yellow Cab, I was convinced I needed to seek alternatives. Looked at limo companies and über. Landed at the airport and summonsed an Über car via the app. He was 15mins away and called for terminal pickup info. The driver was decent, a little too chatty and wasn't very familiar with the downtown roads. My next Über car was much better. This driver was great and hung out as I did shopping in the area so that I wouldn't have to wait for a ride back. First ÜberX car was a Chevy Impala, not impressed. Second car was a Kia SUV, again not impressed, but at least they were both brand new and clean. Overall I was pleased with Über service in OKC. I heard horror stories of colleagues that tried the local cab services. read more

This is such a fantastic solution for getting around safely in OKC. I've used this service over 100 times and have almost always had fantastic drivers who knew their way around, with a few exceptions who were likely weeded out pretty quickly with the rating system (I never got these drivers again). They also have free rides at various times (at the end of December and mid-May, for instance, they offered a week or two of free rides) so you should sign up to take advantages of the days they offer free rides. Also, use a friend's promo code when you sign up so you both get free ride credit. You can also split the fare with other friends as long as they have Uber. I can't speak for everyone who has used this service, but my feeling is nothing but gratitude for having this service available. My only car was disabled for four days and I live where the bus line doesn't take me anywhere close to work. I downloaded the Uber app on my older phone, and I ordered an Uber driver to take me to work for the afternoon shift, meaning I needed a driver at 1pm and I needed another to bring me home again at 10pm at night. All of my drivers were great, and I rode in many different sizes and types of cars. And outside of my first driver getting a bit lost, I had zero issues, all had good safety ratings, clean cars. Also, I understand that some drivers won't accept shorter fares, and mine was less than 4 miles each way, but some of these drivers lived 30 miles away and still came to get me and take me to work and back home safely and for that I am GRATEFUL. I tipped all of them. I would use Uber again in a heartbeat. Much cheaper than renting a car in the long run, and you don't have to hassle with turning it back in. Of course I finally got my money back. I had to lock my credit card. Order a new card that was expidited to me an my expense. Great service in Moore. The wife and I wanted to go out for dinner and celebrate our anniversary. I gave Uber a try so we could both have alcoholic beverages. I set the app up to charge PayPal and the process is transparent. It cost $20 round trip. Once you request a pickup, the app updates how many minutes away the driver is from you. 8 minutes the first leg and 15 minutes return. Not too shabby. This is now a go to for me. read more

Wow! What an experience, from the time I started to load the app, set my present position as home, link bank to service, (all I had to do was scan debit card!) to the time I was in a brand new Nissan Altima that was absolutely spotless with my Uber driver Mitchell, it was exactly 20 minutes! I could even see his vehicle driving towards my house on a map on the Uber app before he arrived! He acted as if tipping was not expected, when we arrived he shook my hand and said welcome to Uber! No money to dig out, no tip to get out, no waiting on change!! Just open the door and go. I had my wife's car detailed so I needed a ride from the house to the car wash to pick it up and it worked like a champion! I see Uber for our next date night so we can both enjoy a few cocktails safely, and you can go fancier than just a standard car for a bit more. I see us using Uber for rides to and from the airport and saving huge bucks on long term airport parking! The app tells you estimated worst scenario fare in advance so you're not surprised. I now know why Uber is catching on every where all over the nation and the world! If you haven't tried it yet, I highly encourage you to try it. Cheaper than cabs, shuttles, limousines, multi passenger vehicles for up to 8! No extra charge for extra passengers. The app also has a ride share feature helping you find other riders to split the fare! I give Uber car service 5 stars and so far that's what they deserve. I started using Uber just a couple of weeks ago and I'm very satisfied with their services. I used them after an incident of me calling a cab to transport me to work, the cab driver came to pick me up an hour later after I called, almost had a collision with another car causing those people to lash out at him and blocking the cab . I had to ask the guys in the car to please let the cab driver take me to work because I was already 45 minutes late. Then I was charged $11.50 for a 9 minute ride. I had the uber app on my phone for about 8 months and had never used it . Well , when I did I only had to wait about 8 minutes for someone to pick me up , the cars are clean, the people are friendly , I like how the app shows me their faces and what kind of car they are picking me up in and I am only charged $6.38 for the ride. I used über last night for the first time. I live in Moore so trying to get a cab this way is almost impossible and if you are able to convince a cab service, it can get kinda pricey. It was a friends birthday and I don't like to drink and drive and had no DD so I was willing to try über. My driver Steve drove a new clean Kia and was able to pick me up within 7 minutes. He was very professional and courteous and answered my questions I had about the company. He knows his way around the Metro area and was able to get me to my destination with no problem. I love the fact über sends you the driver info with a picture of the driver, make and model of the car and the license plate number. I was able to pay using PayPal which is a bonus for me because I don't like giving out my banking information to new places I try. The price was very reasonable 10.00. I will be using über again, because let's face it its a lot cheaper than getting a DUI! read more

I've used Uber for several months and have had good experiences except for one driver who didn't meet me yet charged me for a ride. Uber failed to refund the trip, so I was out $.90 that time. All other drivers have been very good. My only real problem is with their app. Most of the time it tells me request failed when I ask for a ride but a driver always shows up. Deleting and reinstalling the app hasn't fixed things. Getting customer service to help with this hasn't been successful; there's no one to talk about app problems. Uber is still a good way to get around, even with these concerns. I will compare their services with Lyft and get back to this community. read more

I am very dissatisfied with my experience with Uber and would not recommend it. The drivers have been nice, but last night I used it for the second time and I was charged $15 for just a 5 minute drive. I was warned it would be 4 times the regular price, because the demand was high and supply was low, but it was still a ridiculous overcharge. Not to mention that my friend sent me a promo code, which gave me $20 which he told me could be applied to any future car rides, but last night the $15 was charged to my account. I questioned them why and they said it's because the promo code only applies to your first ride. Even though my friend has gotten to roll over his credits and has never had to pay for a ride. I guess it's because he's been the one referring people. The whole thing is vague and confusing though, and I will not be giving my money to anything that charges someone $15 for a 1.5 mile ride.
