The guy showed up about 20mins early but he was nice enough to wait. No issues with the driver. Later that evening I saw the ride was charged to the wrong payment method. I had to contact support and wait for a person to connect. Then I was transferred to their billing department. I was told they can't change the payment method. I told them the payment method that was charged wasn't even the form of payment I added and I don't understand how you were able to access this payment method and charge it? No one responded. the chat was ended. When I tried to contact them again the AI bot kept repeating "sorry I can't answer that. please rephrase your question and choose from a print below." Every prompt I choose kept repeating the same thing over and over.. read more

Very disappointing. The first Uber vehicle couldn't close his trunk and after 8-10 minutes, supposedly cancelled the trip and had me order another ride. Called and got the other Uber and the driver had to pull off the road and check his map or something for 10-15 minutes I was charged for the cancelled ride (cancellation fee although the driver cancelled) and when the second driver took so much time, I had to make anoter stop (essentially on the way) for which my $ 38 ride, now cost $ 65 read more

Today was the final straw!!! I noticed a $96 charge on my bank account, come to find out, they took it upon themselves to charge me an annual fee instead of my monthly fee. Not only did they charge me, they charged me 13 days earlier than my monthly fee date, and said it would take effect July 30th. I NEVER gave permission for this, and can't get anyone to help me. When I was finally able to navigate through the help tab and get a robot to respond, I was able to cancel supposedly and ask for a refund, but only through several argumentative prompts. I was then given an option to either chat, speak, or email and agent (to obviously try and be talked into not canceling) to confirm, I chose call. The number took me to the safety department, he said he could not help and no one on a phone could, I got no resolve. I have 2 chats going through email, and have received no help or response, or refund!!! Last week, delivery driver delivers wrong food, from a completely different resturaunt, they refuse to give me a refund, when someone finally responded hours later. The picture and the receipt clearly show where I ordered food from and what was delivered!!! 2 days later I chat back with someone and finally got someone to handle the situation, but said it would take up to 10 days or longer to get my money back, but could give an immediate credit to my Uber account! These disgusting crooks have got the VERY LAST PENNY FROM ME!!!! Unfortunately I have had a handful of issues with Uber over the last year, and let some slide and had difficulty getting anyone to help, before arguing insued. You have got to be shady and lazy to work for this place, and foolish to use them FOR ANYTHING!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! read more

Would give zero stars if I could. Ordered uber to pick up my step son to bring him to us. He went through something traumatic. It was a long drive but would have been well compensated. They cancelled several times before James picked him up. He took him down the road and abandoned him at a gas station. Told him he was cancelling. He is disabled, has severe gout and had to carry all his stuff and walk home. It was a long walk. KDY2877, James, gray ford focus. I told police, department of justice ADA violations and trying to file complaint to Uber if they'd answer. read more

Worse experience and I will NEVER use Uber again. Called Uber from airport at luggage pickup. Uber cancelled my ride as I was entering pickup zone. Uber charged me a cancellation fee. Drive took me 3 miles and less than 10 minutes and the app said $21. The driver was great. Uber charged me almost $40 for this 3 mile ride. Uber is IMPOSSIBLE to contact! read more

App didn't work at Bush Airport in Houston. Fortunately (?) there was an Uber driver asking if anyone needed a ride that his fare had cancelled. I was riding 10 miles at 3:45 on a Sunday afternoon. Took 30 minutes, he invoiced $169. Never again! Screw Uber, I'll take a cab or try Lyft from now on. read more

I usually like Uber but recently my son was driving for Uber and he got rear ended at a red light. His nice Honda was totaled he was hit so hard. He had his own insurance but because he was on the way to pick up a ride Uber took over the insurance coverage. The insurance they use is awful , Progressive. They are not giving him what his car is worth since it was totaled. My recommendation is don't drive for Uber . If your car gets wrecked you will not get enough money to replace it.! read more

I had a problem with my Uber eats business account. Basically I need to have the code to link my business account reset since I had too many tries due to my own impatience. However, Uber does not have a support line to call and the chat takes forever. This is pretty bad customer service for something that should be a relatively easy and quick fix. They told me that fixing the problem may take 6-12 hours. Hopefully you don't have any technical issues that need resolved because this is not a company that will fix it in an appropriate manner read more

We were in Louisville, KY, we used Uber to go from the airport to our hotel, 4 of us in one large car, very comfortable for and price was $19 plus a tip. this was at 7PM on a weekday. When we went back to the airport at 7:30AM a few days later same type car, it was $49 plus tip. Neither trip was there any traffic. This also happened when we went from the hotel to Churchill Downs. $19 return $49. I called and asked a Uber support person and they traffic, etc. was the difference. There was no traffic I explained. They said, well that's the cost. So just be aware of these cost differences. I need to be more careful I guess, so do you. read more

Two uber ride experiences in one evening. Two different drivers. One outbound, one homebound. Both were efficient once I was into the vehicle. However, that being said, the arrival time for the first vehicle seemed to keep moving outward from what was originally projected. This was an unexpected development and I would rather have known in advance so that my plans for the evening could be structured with a more concrete timeline. I do appreciate the cleanliness of the vehicles in both instances. read more

I just want to start by stating something rather obvious. Businesses that have the means for you to contact them via PHONE and not wade through endless lines of type and links to click just to end up at a point that is USELESS are far better than those that do not -- UBER being one of those that does not and is virtually USELESS in my book. I recently took a trip on 1/17/25 and paid as usual. Now, I have UBER claiming that there is an unpaid balance due. Yet, I have a $9.04 charge on my debit account for the trip that UBER is trying to say is not paid for. So I fracked around in their endless words and links options and finally got the amount lowered (there was some type of JUNK CHARGE for waiting .47 seconds). I'm sorry but there is no way that .47 seconds should be charged for waiting. That shit was not even a minute long. Also, the charge that was being claimed as not paid was $9.21 - yet the $9.04 amount was charged to my debit card no issue. Further more, when I tried (and I did try multiple times and ways) to get this issue rectified I was met with convoluted reading and clicking option yet none of them FIT THE ISSUE THAT I HAD. In short I could go on about people and their continued feeding of companies that do not do phone support so I digress and just want to know WHY the two charges????? I kicked Lyft to the curb do I have to do the same with UBER???? And Bill J. hope you see this but the cost difference is RUSH HOUR time. Traffic of no traffic - the cost come from the 12 hour difference in the time you took your trip. 7pm rush hour is over 7:30 am its just getting started! read more

Not only have their "surge" prices gone astronomically high (recently $39 to travel 7.7 miles at 3pm on a Saturday!!) Having frequent problems with drivers accepting rides and then either going the completely opposite direction (probably driving Lyft riders) or more often sitting in place for longer than the estimated arrival time, likely in an attempt to get you to cancel to ride after Uber's two minute grace period so they can charge for the ride without having actually done anything. One recent driver sat in a shopping center parking lot for 7 minutes when it said the pickup would occur within 4 minutes. Another driver sat at a fast food restaurant nearby (*across the street*) for 5 minutes when it stated his arrival would occur in two minutes. Uber doesn't care about customer satisfaction and their policies are designed to place riders at a disadvantage because they take the lion's share of any fares charged whether it happened or not, or whether it was a pleasant experience or not. The only thing Uber cares about besides money is liability/lawsuits. read more

I made a reservation for UBERXL on June 27th at 3pm for destination John Glen International airport . For UBERXL it states it can accommodate up to 6 passengers. We had 4 passengers with luggage and driver Marc shows up with a vehicle that can't accommodate us and just stares at us. I approach him and he said he could not take us because of our luggage. I stated UBERXL can accommodate 6 people and he said that was without luggage. Who travels to airport without luggage. He cancelled the reservation and I was charged 30.00 and ended up driving myself to airport and paring for 18 days and paying 160.00. UBER misrepresented what UBERXL is and sent a driver that was not UBERXL . I will never use UBER AGAIN. when setting the reservation the destination defaulted to the airport. UBER committed fraud in my opinion . read more

The driver spoke very little English, and asked something I didn't understand. Turns out, he was asking if he wanted him to stay at the stop with me. I didn't need him to. He waited anyway, and the charge was an extra charge of 46 dollars. It took half an hour to get through to Uber and still I got no response. Also, the driver ran a red light to make a u-turn. I will never use Uber again. read more

What's happened to Uber? It used to be significantly cheaper then regular taxis.I returned from a trip to the West Coast around 11:30 p.m. at John Glenn international airport. As I viewed my Uber app the price kept changing. When I was on the plane it was as low as $24 but once it passed midnight it started to range anywhere from $45 to $66. By the time I got my luggage and got to the curb the price was in the low '60s. So I just took a regular cab that was waiting there at the cab stand. I was charged $30. So what's happened to Uber? read more

This happen at 1:13 pm today, October 18, 2021. I caught an uber ride home. when i first got in the driver's car. he did not greet me. i am not very social myself so i thought nothing of it. i sat in the back seat on the passenger side. he stopped his car in front of my apartment building, i got out walked up the passenger side of his vehicle. when i was turning in front of his car he pressed on the gas and his headlights nearly made contact with my body. already shocked i hurried to the grass in front of my building. he didn't apologize or ask if i was okay. i noticed that i had accidentally left my keys and as i was looking at him in his vehicle and started to walk back because i needed my keys to get into my house. when he saw me approaching the car again he sped off. i had to chase him full sprint around my neighborhood because he saw me in his rear view and would not stop. he watched me sprint after his car in my neighborhood. whenever i would get within 10 feet of his car (the speed limit in my neighborhood is 15 mph) he would speed up in attempt to lose me. i almost chased him out of the neighborhood before my fiancé stopped in the street and asked me wtf was happening and why was i running and crying after a car. i explained that the uber driver had my house keys, almost hit me, saw me chasing his car and wouldn't stop. my fiancé let me use his keys to get in my home where i used the help menu in the uber app to call the driver. at this point all i wanted was to feel safe in my home. the driver sent me to voicemail to which i left a very angry message demanding my keys be brought back to me at least because a strange should never have the keys to my house. i called the driver a second time. the driver answered and said that he knew he had my keys and would bring them back. i waited 20 minutes. the driver never returned with my keys nor apologized for nearly hitting me. so i filed a dangerous driving report with uber. i also found out that for him to bring me my keys would be an additional $15 fee. wtf. as i am typing this now it has been over an hour since i've contacted uber regarding the situation and they have not responded to me. so, not only was i almost hit by reckless, selfish and rude uber driver, that same driver has the keys to my home and approximate address. uber has done nothing to help me. not one response to my numerous messages. i will never use their service again. read more

I made a reservation in advance to go to a doctor's appointment. Based on the time they estimated for ride to this destination I set a pickup time which would get me there for the appointment I got confirmation and was waiting outside my house 15 minutes before scheduled arrival. After 25 minute wait no one showed up. I was able to get a friend to drive me and was late for the appointment. I did get a notification that that drive refused my ride an I was told to reschedule a ride. I was charged a cancelation fee. This is unmitigated Gaul! The only resign I booked the reservation wanted to get there on time. Had they informed me an hour before that the driver would cancel, I would have canceled my reservation and there would have been no charge. What a scan! Uber ha found a way to make charges for NOT performing a service! I would have given them a 0 star rating. read more

Lots of hater Yelpers here, and I'm not sure why. Keep trying to convince yourselves that traditional taxis here in Columbus are better, but you will fail. And whining about how much better Lyft was will get you nowhere as well. They tried, and they are gone. The bottom line is, Uber is way better than Columbus taxis. Everybody knows it. Uber is cheaper, faster and safer. Is it perfect? Of course not. But it will be, one day soon. But in the meantime, enjoy your $4 trips to the bar and back, in clean cars that show up quickly. read more

I absolutely love using UBER Eats. I have always had positive experience as they've handled my package with care and follow instructions. For the majority of my food deliveries. UBER is my first choice. read more

First time user and I was afraid of booking and having the right protocol. But we have waited and waited for a yellow cab that did not show or was horribly late even when ordering the night before. So on the uber app you can see all the ubers including the one coming for you. Very nice man with exceptionally clean car. Very pleased with service and price. Why would anyone take a cab which has surcharges for using a credit card. So you first timers, go for it. read more

I'd like to give 10 stars is for the driver named SHOAIB that just dropped me off. Very cool guy, great driver! Why am I writing this just for an uber ride? Because this other driver who I will refrain from naming him cancelled on me when he saw my ride was short and only worth $5... He called me right away to tell ME to cancel the request because he was already heading in another direction farther away. Now, I didn't know how to go about navigating through the uber app to "cancel" so while I'm trying to find out how to cancel, I kept coming back to the GPS screen where it tells you where my driver is and I see this fool driving around 2 blocks away in circles with the map telling me he is 1 to 2 min away. Yeah my ride was a short distance only worth $5. But every time I requested uber for these short rides, I always tipped atleast $10. Thats not bad for a 4 minute drive right? ....I hope... I've been told that the driver can also cancel on you on the app but this driver most likely told me to cancel so he still gets somethin out of this... I took screenshots of this effin' D! €¥cheese cause I really want to go ahead and let every see who Im talking about in this area but I dont want to get in trouble for ruining business...yada, yada, yada..If I wanted to hear drivers cancel on me for short rides I'd call a regular Taxi Co...and it wouldn't cost me anything! Am I allowed to post his pic? Can I?! Can I?!!! Anyway, this guy can take 10 stars up his A-hole!! read more

A transportation service that is supposed to be 24/7 should not take you if they cannot bring you back, even if you don't need a ride back. Instead they have left me a single mother stuck in town from 11 to 3 am with my 14 yr old. Then again today on a tuesday at 4:40 pm with almost 400 dollars of food bought with cash stuck like chuck! and when I asked if they would replace my food I got nothing. Later they sent me a 5 dollar off thing but what is that. Thanks to nice people I finally got home about 7:40pm that is three hours me and my food was sitting in front of Krogers. I have no family except my 75 yr old dad and my now 15 yr old son. Plus I do not drive and disabled!! It is some bull. they should have some time limit to stick in two for for that client. Husband and I always use UBER when having date night. We used it last night a few times and had a great experience up until our ride home with VANITYB. She played loud, offensive rap music and when we asked her to turn it down, she turned it down one notch. We asked her to shut it off and she said NO. Then she started to drive erratically and even jumped a curb during our trip. Going to try LYFT if this is not rectified. read more

This is for Uber eats. This is by far the worst food service delivery out there. The customer service is in fact not service at all. I've had several things wrong with the orders I have placed and received. They don't get back to you in a timely manner (if they even get back to you at all.) one of my orders my friend and I placed at carabbas, the order was completely wrong .. the manager at carrabba agreed and apologized and said she would contact Uber. When Uber contacted us back they said there was nothing they could do and there would be no refund or compensation. Mind you they said it in a rudely manner. We spent about $60 on this order. Recently, I contacted Uber 5 times about a get well cake I had delivered to my friend after being in a car accident. I specifically put PLEASE DO NOT PUT ANY FUDGE OR CHOCOLATE ON THIS CAKE. PleaE write get well. The cake was delivered as a layered Oreo cake with fudge inside and completely white icing and no decorations or writing at all. I was so upset and they still do this day never responded to any 5 of my emails. Don't waste your time with this. Company, you'll be disappointed. read more

The reason I put one star. It's because I had a friend get picked up last night and the Uber driver decided he didn't want to wait for my friend to get in the Uber so he canceled my ride instead of waiting now Uber is telling me that they do not see the Uber on my account and they don't see the money on my account either so Uber is screwing people over all they care about is money they don't care about the people they drive around I have four warning anybody who has a problem with this and he will eventually have a problem with this they took my money cancel my ride didn't even wait for my friend Uber is terrible and I have emailed them all morning and all they have said is we do not see this on your account read more

I have taken so far 6 Uber rides. I use it to travel the 4.5 miles to work at 7:00 AM on weekends. I tried Lyft but when I entered the ride I was told "no driver's available." My fare is always a little under $9.50 My one beef with Uber is the app changes my address to four houses from me every time. How about you let me enter my address and your app not change it? I am giving another star not because they have accomplished the task of having the driver come to my actual address but because so far ( I have had 6 rides) and the drivers are very nice except for the one who canceled on me for no apparent reason. For the same route Uber's average was $9.50, Yellow Cab was about $16. read more

Been using Uber for transportation for a family member who just had surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. Most of the Uber drivers had cars smelling strongly of cigarette smoke. Is there any way to request non smoking drivers? One driver gave my friend a hard time - saying to my friend (the paying customer) that she (the driver) had the right to smoke in her own car and that my friend should shut up. There were some great Uber drivers that my friend and I rode with from the airport however, the ones picking up at the Cleveland Clinic have had dirty, smoky cars. If you want to drive for Uber you'd better have your own car. This lease program they advertise is bullshit. I've been trying for almost a month to get a car to drive. Wow, holy negative reviews! I guess I'm the minority on this one. Last two weekends I have used Uber. It has been quick and efficient. At one point I wasn't really even at a pickup point being I just got out of a concert and we were walking aimlessly through a residential neighborhood looking for a cab. I used the Uber app and the dude was literally right behind me. I think it's amazing. Freaky good! I also think their c.s. is top notch. Case in point a driver showed up to pick up me and my friends but his car wasn't big enough. He told me I would have to get an XL uber. Being new to this Uber thing, I didn't know exactly how it worked. But I ordered it and it came and got us. Next day I seen I was charged for the first driver. Contacted Uber through email and not a minute later I get an apologetic email for the error and a promise that they'll refund my account immediately. I was blown away. I would give 5 stars but I really hate the way they upcharge. It can get pretty pricey. But for the convenience of it all, I guess it's worth it to pay a little more. I highly recommend and will continue to use Uber in the future. The End. read more
