I have had the worst experience ever with Hilary Miskov at AAA travel in Worthington, Oh. Never book anything through her. 4 friends went to see her in July 2025 to fly first class to Switzerland in May of 2026. The trip cost each of us over $12,000 each with upgraded rooms on a river cruise. Our upcoming trip will have 2 of us flying in the morning and 2 in the afternoon even though this was a 4 person trip overseas all together. she finally booked our transportation from hotels to the ship and so on after 9 months of us calling and texting to get it straightened out. some of the hotel rooms were not even booked until recently. it's been a total nightmare and I hope that the 4 of us will eventually meet and share the same ship and hotel rooms once we get there. I have never flown overseas and had hoped the group could help me navigate through it but it looks like I'm doing that on my own now read more

The service is excellent. It is a great resource for anything travel. The value is okay. Has tons of things to select from for travel all over the world. Really good selection. The value is okay but what I like the most is you can come in and just sit down and go through travel information at your leisure. If you do want to talk to an agent it's best to make an appointment. We wanted to plan a vacation package so we set up an online meeting with Shaina. Shaina didn't show up for the first meeting, so we called the office and they transferred us to Shaina's number. We left a voicemail and never heard back. We then rescheduled the meeting for a later date and Shaina didn't show up again. I had used AAA travel in the past for international travel & thought I would try again for our upcoming trip to Scandinavia, Great Britain & Europe. I initially saw one travel agent to get an idea of costs, explained where my husband & I wanted to go. She finally gave me a printout of flights for 1 person & nothing else. She did not ask about booking hotels or activities. I got her business card & that of the other agent working there, left voicemails for both to contact me to make an appointment to book our trip & never got a call back. Not only is this unprofessional, but they have lost a customer to another travel agent who is more in tune with their customers. Easily made a passport photo appointment online for a convenient time the next afternoon. Was glad to see they are cheaper than CVS, UPS, Staples and Walgreens at $10 for members or $12 for nonmembers. They know the photo rules, took a couple so I at least look decent, and printed two on the spot. Easy peasy! read more

This morning, my husband and I visited the AAA - Worthington location to get our International Driving Permits completed. When we arrived, the front desk staff greeted us and told us she would get to us after she had finished up with the customer she was working with at the moment. After she finished up, the couple behind us was serviced first which (in my opinion) should have been addressed by the staff saying, the couple in front of you was here first I will get to you next. Instead, she serviced the couple and never acknowledged us again until we got up from the seating she pointed us too and stood in line. From there, my husband renewed his membership and she put us in the queue to get serviced. So we sat back down and more people started to come into the office and were automatically getting serviced before us. To me, this signals a lack of customer service and organization for handling customers in an efficient, respectful manner. There was never any communication about whether people coming in had appointments or why we weren't serviced before all those people. I'm not going to assume based on the differences between what my husband and I looked like and what the people who came in looked like because I don't think that would be true -- but I do think that other customers in our predicament would have felt that way. After being at the location for 45 minutes, we were greeted by a service agent who apologized for our wait and thanked us for our patience. I was happy it was acknowledged which is why I'm giving this location a three stars and not one or two. I'm a very understanding person and extremely patient, but I thought consideration for the customer and communication was extremely lacking. I hope this review can be taken as constructive feedback and actions can be taken to improve the experience for future customers. Also, I will change my star rating based on my future experience of when my husband and I will return to exchange currency if these changes are implemented and customer service is improved. read more

Called this location to see if they had a map of Asheville NC before I drove all the way to Worthington. No answer so left a message. No return calls received after 4 days. My husband commented that he has called that location before, left a VM and received no call back. So drove up there and luckily they had the map. While there I overheard a young girl at the reception desk speak to an older gentleman customer and she was loud, curt, deflected his concern, basically said it was a AAA decision, not her problem, she did not sign on the dotted line, etc. I found it a bit arrogant and disrespectful. There is another way to empathetically respond. My response when I asked about return calls was "oh I was on vacation so I can't help you". A little customer service training is needed. read more

I have had insurance through AAA Ohio for almost 6 years. Out of the blue, I was contacted by AAA Worthington about switching my policy to a different company to save money. All sounded good, and I took their advice to switch policies. After signing all the paperwork and paying for the policy in full, I was told I had to share information about another person that I did not have access to or my premium would go up. Over the 22 years of having auto insurance, I have never had to share the type of information they were requesting. Since I don't have access to the information they wanted, I am having to cancel the new policy and search out a new policy on my own. I wish I had just ignored their call and kept my previous policy. It appears the local office is in bed with MAPFRE, and I question the nefarious actions that seem to favor MAPFRE in efforts to stealing customers from other policy holders at AAA. Fraudulent? Probably not, but definitely feels like some backdoor incentives are motivation to pull clients from other carriers to MAPFRE. Such a shame, I've been a AAA customer for decades, but not anymore! Edit: Switched to State Farm and saved another $100/year. read more

I called for AAA Service yesterday at my home for a battery installation in my car and Queen was the driver servicing my ticket. I cannot tell you enough how very professional and personable Queen is - she was prompt, she helped me understand everything she was doing and why, she advised best practices on how to care for batteries going forward for my car and provided me with the most optimal AAA experience I've ever had being a member now 29 years having gotten my first membership at 16 years old. I sincerely hope AAA has a recognition program in place to honor those who do their job successfully of course, but go over and beyond providing the member with a flawless experience. I fully recognize my car was at home and I wasn't on the side of the road or interstate which is most likely more of the call-for-help norm, however, I absolutely believe if I had been stranded and Queen was in charge of my situation even on the road, my level of service, professionalism and positive approach to my call would have been the same: flawless. Please take time to recognize her in a way that she would value and appreciate to her needs. AAA has always been good but Queen is simply the best. AAA is fortunate to have her. read more

I have obtained foreign currency from AAA several times without any issues. This week I requested foreign currency. The associate told me the amount of the check required. I wrote the check, showed my driver's license and my AAA card. My husband and I have been members for over forty years, I have used AAA for trips, maps and excursions over that timeframe. The associate left to finalize my exchange. She returned to advise me that my check was denied. I was shocked! I had confirmed my my checking account balance before going to AAA. She couldn't tell me why my bank denied the check. I went to the bank, they too, were puzzled....more than enough funds to cover it. I took cash out, returned to AAA, completed my transaction and was given my denial slip. When I contacted the number on the receipt, I was told that the check was an odd amount, well that amount is what the transaction called for. I was also told that I did not write enough checks to AAA and I could be a fraud case. I then found out that the company that denied my transaction was a AAA hired company. My suggestion is to allow the agents in the AAA to be able to use the facts in front of them, i.e., long term customer, all of the appropriate id information and history as a customer to override "computer generated denials." I was mortified to be denied, knowing full well that the money was in the bank, and also disappointed that the agent did nothing to notify me that it was "AAA" denying me rather than my bank. I wasted 3 hours going to AAA, going to my bank, contacting the "AAA" denial agency, contacting my bank by phone, and then returning to AAA...and now reliving that nightmare by writing this review! read more

I gave the sales rep, the store manager, and then the district manager almost five months to make their mistake right. After today when I was supposed to receive a call and then didn't, I am hoping to save others from this headache. The sales rep booked a hotel that then sold out. It took over a month to get (most) of my money back and just a few days ago- almost five months later and over a dozen emails, phone calls, messages later- FINALLY received the rest of the refund. I could write a lot more about this awful experience, but I can't fathom spending another minute thinking about it. Please do yourself a favor and if you do decide to book your travel here, trust your intuition- if the travel agent doesn't give you a good vibe, find another one. read more

I purchase insurance from AAA Worthington oh office i bought it for a agreed amount on a vehicle only to find out that the insurance company didn't write that type of policy you think the agent would know this I had a policy issued and everything well they cancel the policy and that agent at AAA didn't know anything about it it was a good thing that i notice that they didn't take the monthly fee out called the agent now here i am scrambling for insurance drove 1 day without insurance which is totally unacceptable safeco is the name of the insurance company maybe that agent needs more practice but i was able to get insurance immediately this could have turned in to a very nasty lawsuit read more

I called AAA at 9pm Wed 6/19 for toll service. I was ask was I in a safe spot and I said no. I indicated that my car was stuck in water and water was on the inside of the car?. I was told that my call was priority and the next available truck would be sent my way. After the 1st hour I called AAA to check the status. Was told did not know when toll truck would come and was not sure it was coming. Called again 3rd time ask to speak with supervisor. Call sent to supervisor and they never answered the call. Called again the 4th time getting to confirm that my car was going to get filled. Was told yes but it would probably be 3 hours, I have definit5gotten the run around and customer service at AAA is a joke. It is now 1205am and I am still waiting. I will be cancelling this membership and filing a complaint indicating poor poor service. read more

I have been a AAA member for as long as I have owned an automobile. For over fifty years, AAA has been a five star organization. I have been towed from Kentucky back to Columbus, pull out of a ditch, and recently order a last minute trip tik. Recently I visited the Worthington Branch of AAA. The receptionist was very pleasant in addition to be very informative as to my wait time. The agent who took care of me was very efficient and knowledgeable. My review is for the travel agency part - we worked with Brian B. and he was extremely helpful and patient with our requests. We were given options on where to stay (BNB, Hotels, Hostels) in the areas we wanted to visit. Once we made our choice we were given a price and everything was taken care of. We received a packet in the mail before our trip with itinerary, confirmation numbers, seat numbers, instructions (step by step), it was foolproof! We only had one "hick up" and that had to due with Hertz Car Rental, IRELAND. I wish I would have been more prepared for the TOTAL AMOUNT of the car rental. American rules (no matter how much of a preferred customer you are with HERTZ) do not apply, you are charged for everything extra - drivers, unlimited mileage, INSURANCE, GPS, 2-door, 4- door, TIRES are NOT covered even w/Largest amount of insurance purchased - you are responsible for them! PERIOD!! Car rental ended up 5X's the cost of what I was expecting. However, that did not even deter my opinion of AAA and Brian. It was an awesome experience and with all the details planned we had a flawless ONCE IN A LIFE TIME vacation. Thank you for all you did, very much appreciated! read more

It's so frustrating a string of red lights delays me as I run my errands, but that's what happened as I headed to AAA for a set of maps and travel books. I arrived at 5:02 and found a locked door. As I turned to return to my car, I heard a friendly voice call me back. Wish I could tell you her name, but her small act of kindness...just after their 5pm closing time delighted me. I had what I needed and was back in my car at 5:08. I commend the staff for giving me 5 minutes of her day -- saving me an hour of my time for a return trip on another day. I had AAA tow my car and the tow truck driver crashed it. Stuff happens so that was not the problem. The problem came when I had to deal with AAA Worthington office to work with me. That was the most unprofessional experience ever. They started out nice until Mr. J Tracy told me he got my car towed to a different location and 2 weeks later was mad at me because I checked and the car was not at the shop (total incompetent). He basically told me to work it out with the tow truck company and their insurance and not bother him. Well if they would have not lost my car and were pleasant I would have dealt with the tow company. But because I'm a Plus card member and I called AAA not the tow company, I'm now going after AAA for my totaled car. They are at fault and they can go after the sub contracted company after that. read more

I have been a AAA member since 1972. We have been going to the Worthington AAA since 1988. Their triptiks, maps and tour books are a great service and invaluable in planning trips across the US. When traveling internationally we have had the pleasure of working with Jane Rosen. She is an outstanding, knowledgeable and thoughtful travel agent.. We have planned seven European trips with her (six land tours and one river cruise). Each has been terrific. All of the arrangements including air, hotels, tours etc. have been spot on. When traveling with AAA we have always purchased their trip insurance. It has paid for itself over the years. It is very comprehensive and you receive the value for the buck!! Been a AAA member for over 30 years. Needed their emergency roadside assistance yesterday and found all aspects of service sucked! Called around 7pm and was told my wait to speak with someone would be 40 minutes. Selected call back option that never happened. Then 2 hours later called them again and got person to place tow request and was told I'd be called with updates which never happened. After several calls back, each time with 30 minutes waiting on hold in line, was finally told I might see some one to tow my car the following day in afternoon or evening! This info came around 1:30am! On last call, was finally told I could try another tow service and ask for AAA to reimburse me. This info and realistic wait times up front as well as reaching a live person much more timely would have been way more helpful as opposed to not getting sleep and missing an entire day of work, not to mention added stress of dealing with a crappy service. Ridiculous! I finally called a Maynard's towing who showed up at promised time within 1.5 hours to tow my car. AAA towing showed up over 22 hours after my initial call for help. Didn't bother to call and cancel because I didn't want to wait on hold another 30-40 minutes. I will be canceling my AAA membership! read more
