The worst. Once again, I wait 10 minutes for a driver who just went right by me even though I was standing where I was supposed to and was waving. This is not the first time I will wait 10 to 15 minutes, and the guy never shows. I once did a pool on the way to Kennedy and the driver stop to pick two people and was about to take them to Brooklyn which would've added two hours to the trip. I leapt out and cancelled. I have never had such issues with VIa. AVOID read more

Hi I order an uber 25 minutes ago, our wait was supposed to be 23 minute and we got down to 9 and the time is back up to 21. I've called the Uber 3 times to see what is going on and the calls were cancelled, I texted twice and no response. I am now going to have to cancel my ride and deal with a cancellation fee which is ridiculous. I'm switching to Lyft ASAP. I'm infurriated. read more

What an amazing service!! I highly recommend using this over a taxi/cab any day. Well worth the $, great service, where you are treated with dignity and respect. All of the drivers are routinely drug tested and background checks are cleared on each driver so you can feel safe. What a delight Girmatchaw was. He went above and beyond picking us up at the airport and coming to get us, carried our luggage, loaded it, and reloaded it into our car. He offered water and candy. He was so polite and professional. If I could request him every time, I would. Thank you Girmatchaw! read more

I am very disappointed in the level of service Uber Uber Eats provided. Their support teams use auto replies and do not investigate your actual issues. I have deactivated my Account. I'm done. I use uber multiple ti.es a week sometimes 10 to 15 times a week for business and personal. This is the worst company and by Friday we will take our business to Lyft. It's always a issue with finding my guys even If the address is right and I drop a pin. I cannot deal with waiting and following the car on the map and then they seem to just not know where to go. After doing all that and talking to the driver they just cancel and charge you a fee. That screws up everything with getting my guys to the job on time and a complete waist of my time every morning. I have used uber for yrs and never asked for discounts or any promo. I need them I just order. Today as many other it has cost me money. I wish I could charge them a fee for my problems they cause me. read more

Didn't pay attention close enough to the effect of 2.3 surge pricing. My bad. Had relatives in town, going out for drinks and dinner at a steak restaurant 12 miles from home. If you're thinking of advance scheduling a pick up...DON'T! Uber advertises advance scheduling as a means to "peace of mind." Nope. They say they'll give you a $10 credit if they are late. Nope. I ordered an Uber for my sister. The app will tell you how much the trip will cost, and upon that, I agreed to pay $50ish for the trip. Halfway to destination, someone hit the car that my sister was in, so the trip was incomplete and the driver told her that Uber would refund the money. After hearing it, I immediately checked my bank account and to my surprise, Uber took 3 different payments as authorization hold. Seriously?? $13.49, $54.48 & $54.19 for an incomplete trip? I discussed this with the customer service, and no I didn't get the answer I was looking for. Only to tell me that the charges were all just temporary. Worse, didn't even offer nor ask about my sister who was in the car during the accident. My point is, my fund in the bank account is not for Uber to keep on taking just to make sure I can afford to pay for the service. I've been using Uber for many times, but this incident changed my mind about this company. My advice to all is to have enough fund in your bank, at least triple the cost of your single trip so that you won't get overdraft for your other necessities. Thanks Uber read more

If I could give 0 stars, it would be too many. Took one Uber ride in about 3 years and within twelve hours my account was hacked and I got $108 charge on my card. I cancelled the card and put in a claim with my bank... but only after trying to contact Uber for 3 days. Their only solution: keep sending "reset password links", even after I repeatedly told them I could no longer access my account. Fast forward a month and it happens again... with a new card that Uber had no access to. This time 5 charges totaling around $300... again customer service was absolutely useless and worse, wanted the first 6 and last 4 of my card number AND the expiration date. Also note, I placed a stop payment on anything Uber.. they got around it by changing the format that they charge (changed from Uber.com to help.Uber.com). Keep asking for my bank info and claiming they can't delete the hacked account until they have all my card info. An utter and complete scam of a company. I'll warn everyone I know not to use any form of Uber. Also, little known fact (the only useful thing provided by anyone in customer service), they had a massive system hack in the beginning of September 2022... but you don't hear about that anywhere, do you? Just take a look at the Uber Newsroom on their website. Stay away from them; they're a terrible company and have the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. read more

Beware! Uber lets drivers steal from you! My driver just took off with my luggage in his car when I went to take it out of his trunk. Uber won't give me his phone number and there's no way to contact Uber directly so I can report him. I left the driver with 3 messages through some lame uber voice service and still NO response. I'm in the middle of interviews and flying out right after they're over and this Uber driver just drove off with all my belongings! This is crazy!!! UPDATE: It gets better. Uber driver finally responds to my 4th call and return my luggage in the middle of my interview, disrupting the whole process; Uber still never bothered even responding to help me, and to top all that, Uber decides to charge ME $15 for a "lost item"!?!?! Unbelievable nerve - I didn't "lose" my luggage your driver TOOK OFF WITH IT while I was trying to get it out of his car!!! And you charge ME $15?!!!?!!!!! The car was a Toyota Sienna license plate # 505YZY. Our Uber driver was there where we were and he didn't even look for us. We walked right behind his car to see the license and he just drove off. I have been taking Uber for about three months now and I HATE IT!! What makes me despise it the most is the lack of customer service. The company has you contact them through their app. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will you get a person to talk to. This is just pathetic especially when you have an emergency. I find that when you take the time to write them they vaguely read what you are saying. I leave reviews either way, and I had an associate write me today that I have left more negative reviews than normal. WOW!! This blew me away! I've had some very poor experiences when taking Uber and you bet I do let them know. However, I also take the time to leave reviews when I have good experiences also, which the associate did not mention. I take Uber at least twice a day and this is the appreciation that I receive. For their associate to have the audacity to judge me by saying I leave more negative feedback than normal is INSANE!! Have I been able to reach a manager, NO! I have asked over and over and STILL NO MANAGER!! No CORPORATE OFFICE! Just this darn stupid app!! I have had perverted drivers, drivers stopping to get gas while I am on a trip, gossiping on their phone while I am in the car, MULTIPLE cars that smell so bad I want to vomit, cars that smell like weed. Drivers that don't speak English, drivers that don't understand directions, drivers that cannot drive and almost wrecked. What offends me the most is that Uber is not properly qualifying these drivers and their vehicles. Then to have an associate to try and discourage me offering feedback is unprofessional and down right insane!! These ppl in these office are not on the road, and these drivers are not being filmed. The only way that they can know what is happening is the feedback from Drivers!! To try to discourage that shows that they do not care and to allow an associate to say that means what their level of expectations is low. Once I am able to drive my car again I WILL NOT USE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND UBER!! THEY DRIVERS ARE NOT DRUG TESTED AND THEY ARE NOT TRAINED ON RESPECTFUL ETIQUETTE! read more

On the bad reviews, from reading them, I wonder if they fully understand how Uber works? I've used Uber for years both here and in Chicago, and never had a bad experience or unexpected charges. The drivers have been really nice, pick you up quickly, their cars comfortable, and the pricing well worth avoiding a DUI or the hassle of getting a taxi. Example: On a Sunday morning I found myself in BFE needing to go 18miles to get back home. It was on the fringe of Uber's coverage, only 1 driver was available, and he was 20min away. He got to me in 18min and my fare was $36 for a 40min drive ($28 thanks to that 25% off summer deal going on). I later looked on a site to estimate a typical taxi fare, and assuming they'd even come get me/get me in under 20min, it would have cost around $50. Yeah. Some tips to avoid any surprises: - Fares may fluctuate from the standard rate depending on the day/time. This is called "Surge Pricing". This is due to supply and demand, at least until there are more drivers for Atlanta. If it's a Saturday night after 2am (prime time) in a popular area it might cost more because there's more people requesting a ride than Ubers are available. However, it will very clearly let you know this, and you have to agree, before you request a ride. No surprises. - You can get an estimated fare quote before you request a ride so you know about how much the trip will cost on X/Black/SUV. I do this all the time when going somewhere new. It's been pretty spot-on, if not cheaper sometimes. If it says $15, it almost always ends up being $15. Again, no surprises. - Pay attention to what car you are requesting! Never, even in my many "how do I work phone" drunken escapades, have I ever gotten a car type I didn't request. On my phone (Android) UberX is the default option, and is the cheapest of the three... you have to physically choose Black or SUV before submitting the request. Yet again, no surprises. read more

9/2020 Thee worst company I rented from. I rented from Uber hertz. I rented for A WEEK and was charged for 3 WEEKS !! When I called in regards to my bank account being overdraft and for the charge. NO ONE could find me in the system or my reservation . When I dispute the charge with my bank and they gave me A PARTIAL REFUND! It's crazy how when I ask for the receipt and the reason for the charge I get no answer, I'm not in the system, etc BUT WHEN MY BABK REACH OUT, THEY get a receipt REAL QUICK ! My bank reversed the credit and sent me the receipt. When I have PROOF that I returned the car when I was supposed to. In fact I returned it a bit earlier. A few months later and I AM STILL TRYING TO GET REFUNDED. I was originally charged about $250 and ended up being charged about $680 PLUS ALL THE OVERDRAFT FEES FIFTH THIRD BANK CHARGED. My account ended up getting closed because they charge me so Almaty overdraft fees, I couldn't keep up. Smh After giving them "so many bad reviews" per the girl Maria I was unable to rent from them. Crazy thing is, since there's been so many reviews WHY DIDNT A MANAGER CONTACT ME AFTER THE FIRST ONE! Once they got a new manager and he called, I've been calling back multiple times and of course I'm put on hold then it's the same excuse. "He's on lunch and will call you back" ALWAYS TAKE MY NAME AND NUMBER and ALWAYS the same person that picks up. STILL haven't received a phone call back. First and foremost,my. Daughter did not assault or commit any illegal activity in your drivers car! Her friend threw the paper towels (which were clean and would NOT EVER constitute a crime in any court of law) at the driver because of the rude and inappropriate language used by the uber driver! She simply threw up in the car! She called an Uber to take her and her friends home when she knew she shouldn't be driving. She did the exact thing she should and now your punishing her for that! I am sure college student all over the US will want to know that your drivers will behave this way!! And she paid $150 to the driver to have it cleaned without argument which is double what it would cost in this area! The driver acted VERY inappropriately, especially in his language to my daughter, cursing and acting VERY Unprofessional! I expect an apology from him to my daughter! Second, My daughter spends hundreds of dollars a month in Uber and Uber eats charges! I also use Uber which will now stop for our whole family! As a driver, I feel that some issues I've read here need to be addressed. Star ratings are based on your drivers service, not how pissed you are about the fare. Drivers have no control over the surge. Trust me, if I had my way, we would be getting more than $.75/mile and $.10/minute. That's not much at all. We pray for surge to hit so that we can actually make something. Tip is not included, though uber used to make people think it was, it's not. You are not required to tip, but it is very appreciated. Creepy drivers that try to flirt and ask inappropriate questions should be reported. Dangerous drivers should be reported. Being picked up in the wrong vehicle or by the wrong driver should be reported. UberX is for 4 passengers only. Trying to cram more than that into the vehicle pisses of the drivers. Request something larger. Yes, it's going to cost you more, but safety is an issue. Oh, and as an FYI, requesting 2 UberX is normally cheaper than one SUV or Black car. You're welcome. Now, on to my issues as a driver... Just stop with the sloppy making out in my back seat, this is my car, not your 3 minute happy place. If i see body parts that I should not see, you will be put out. You have a bedroom for that. Your ONE STAR rating will reflect that. Stop being entitled brats. If it's 3am and you're in one of the busy bar areas, it's going to take a minute for us to get to you. DO NOT puke in my car or it's going to cost you, A LOT. When you request, watch the app, it's semi accurate to the arrival time. With UberX the driver has to give you 5 minutes, then we can cancel and you will be charged. With UberPool you only have 2 minutes, then you are charged. If you try to report that I picked up the wrong person when you've been canceled for no-show, I will fight it. Also, I use a timer and will cancel after that time. I'm not waiting on you when i could get another rider. We don't get paid to sit there and wait on you. Make sure all of your party is ready to go. Your trip will be started when the first person gets in the car, if you get out to grab your drunk buddy, the meter keeps going. Keep in mind that we only make $.10/minute. If I have to sit and wait on you or your friends for 10 minutes, it will reflect in my star rate for you. YES, drivers rate passengers as well. If you leave something in my car, it will not be returned on your time. I have to take time out of my day to meet you. A "tip" to be on your time will get it back in your hands a lot faster. Sorry, but i'm not canceling my movie date, brunch with family or friends, day on the lake, or day trip out of town because you were a drunk idiot the night before. But again, for a "tip" I'll definitely see if we can come up with a more effective time. Don't leave trash in my car, it's rude and makes my car dirty for the next person, which they reflect in their star rating. Courteous riders will get great service and a great star rating. read more

I love Uber! Atlanta Checker/Yellow cabs were a NIGHTMARE. Every ride I ever took had an incredibly rude driver. Most would end up in arguing over the fare even if the pricing was posted right on the side of the cab! You could forget about paying with a credit card. I was beyond excited when ride-sharing services moved into the city. I've been using Uber for a little over two years now and have been very pleased with the service. The new vehicle categories that they introduced have been great. The pricing is reasonable for the service as well. People that are complaining don't seem to quite understand how the surge charge pricing works. The app clearly warns you before booking your ride. The only complaint I have is in regards to Uber Black and Uber SUV. I've noticed the quality of drivers has gone significantly downhill in recent years. It's dropped down to a similar quality to taxi drivers only with nicer vehicles. The past several times I've used Uber Black the driver has been incapable of taking directions and responded rudely. Stick to Uber X and XL. read more

A few minutes later I opened the app to check on the status, and saw that the pickup location was 20 miles away, in the center of I285. Of course no Uber drivers cruising around the suburbs at 4:40am looking for a fare. Missed the flight, missed the check-in for the room, and now 14 hours early for the 9:30pm flight. If I could make this a negative star I would. She said uber had arranged this and there was nothing she could do about. Upon looking into it further, this was her choice to change the ride. Wow ..... new app ..... less money..... pick up fee for delivery......the rich get richer., huh Mr CEO?

I was not greeted upon entering. The woman at check in does not want to be bothered by doing her job. My experience at Lyft on Sunday was markedly different. The wait time was 50+ minutes. When I was finally called I was working with "Highway". It was my goal to get my partner referral bonus attached to my account. Instead, highway informed me my account had been created in January of 2017 so I was not eligible for the new partner referral bonus. Highway is correct. I did download the app, provided my license and social. I decided it wasn't for me as I was just checking out the uber driver hype. I discarded the app. In July of 2018 a friend and uber partner referred me to drive with a bonus. I went through the process of applying the referral code and was denied because of my previous account activity. I advised Highway that his adamant refusal to honor the referral bonus was 100% outside of Uber's desire to honor its partners. He held to his dishonoring position. I requested a call from his manager. He would only promise he would pass my info along. He would not promise follow-up from his manager or himself. I thanked Highway for a most displeasurable experience and left. read more

Uber is not reliable. 1/1/22 i was suppose to be picked up at 5 a.m.to go to the Atlanta airport for a 7:30 a.m. flight. i was standing in the driveway waiting watching the texts that Uber was sending me with driver's photo, car license, car model, etc. i was watching the little car on the screen going towards the street the Uber driver was suppose to pick me up at while interjecting that in one minute the driver would be picking me up. at 5:04 a.m. an "i'm sorry, but the driver is unavailable."text came and with that all information was removed and about an hour later i received a $29 bill for cancelling. i contacted my bank and they are dealing with Uber to remove the charge from my account since i did 't cancel... Uber did. i tried contacting the corporation but the phone number was no longer in service. i tried chatting on line, but after a couple chats with them, i was instructed i could pay $1 and/or pay $49 month. this is not a very reliable company but also leaves customers in an unsafe situation and i had to cancel my flight and purchase another airline fare which i had to wait 2 days to fly, which meant 2 nights of hotel charges.i think the only way i would be able to rely on Uber is at an airport where Uber is there. if there is a city cab, i would choose that cab FIRST over Uber. read more
