by far the rudest people that I have encountered in a very long time. I'm trying to help my father with his estate and irs gave me a post office box number when offered to send my POA in she told me to contact my attorney and refused to help me! do not get a box here! it's not safe for 1 and secondly you will get zero help from staff! this is after the main 800 post office number referred me to them to help! they need to get new staff immediately! to the lady i spoke to! fyi attorneys in this process have cost thousands some items we try to do on our own. it cost nothing to be kind!! Yelp wants to know if I recommend the post office. How do I even answer that? Does anybody actually enjoy the post office? It's kind of one of those necessary evils in life. So I just said maybe... Some visits to the post office are 5 star experiences. Especially the ones where you're just dropping something off in the drive thru dropbox. Other visits are not so pleasant. Like when your back is hurting and it's hotter in the post office than it is outside... and you're in Texas, but you have an online store so you have to send out orders. So I'm neutral because sometimes I'm the only person in line so I can fill out my stuff and be in and out quickly. Whereas other times some mastermind has managed to swipe the pens that were once chained to the counter and the chain dangles tauntingly as if it's wagging a finger at you telling you you're not going to be writing anything today. So it's the post office. I'm neutral. read more

OK one would think that a Post Office is a Post Office. Not so quick! I was in this part of town needing to a Post Office and didn't want to drive to La Porte Post Office. WOW! What a pleasant difference. The layout made a big difference. It is a smaller location but with a more intelligent lay out. read more

Went in to send out some wax sealed wedding invitations and the postman was very helpful and cheery! Made my day! He sold me the stamps I needed then once I put all the stamps on them let me hand them right back to him for him to send off. He was great! read more

Worst mail service I have ever had, and getting worse every year. I am constantly missing important mail. If the mail is certified or if they need to come to my door for any reason, they automatically stick a notice in the mailbox and never make an attempt to actually deliver or inconvienance themselves in any way ever at all! I have cameras all around my house so I know if they ever attempt to deliver and they never do. I could get over that if they were at least accurate or punctual with any of my mail. They are slow and days behind all the time, and can't seem to ever get my mail in my box, it ends up at the neighbors or we never see it. This is 9 years of the worst service I have ever had in my 55 years on earth! read more

First and only time I have had any issues when using USPS pre-paid label to return an item purchased from online store. Dropped off package at this post office, handed to person, received receipt of drop off, but here we are two weeks later and package has not been returned. Called customer service to ask and they said there is no evidence it was ever received. Gave them by tracking info on receipt and still unable to locate. Suspicious. I was in a horrible mood coming to this location on a really hot 103 degree day to mail a set of four tiny tires made for a plastic model kit. Yes, I know that's nerdy. Upon walking in, I was prepared to wait in line and then be treated like excrement on the bottom on one's shoe when a very, VERY cheery and enthusiastic postman opened his arms wide and said "COME ON OVER SWEETIE, WHATCHU GOT FOR ME?" Made my freaking day. I was in and out in less than five minutes and he even went back over my husbands tiny print with a sharpie so it wouldn't get sent to the wrong address. This has to be one of the best post offices in the Houston area. They check the boxes outside 3 times a day I believe while some of them only do it once or twice. Unfortunately it is near my work and not my home. The employees here are always nice. I have never left here wishing that my tax dollars didn't buy them food or a car. If I mail my parents a package or card and want it there in 3 days? I know if I come here it will get there on time. I will actually leave for work early so I can either come by their drop-box early or take a longer lunch to mail something. read more

Employees are rude. I understand people take boxes for various reasons. I took 10 box priority boxes so I could ship things needed to be shipped. Employee comes running after me telling me I am limited to only three boxes. Said if I need more that I can order them from their website and they will send me all that I want. POOR SERVICE!! Spoke with an O.I.C. on-site about 2 boxes not delivered to my door step where there is a small table, but instead left on my walk way between landscaping for anyone passing to see. Unfortunately, the more I've reported the problems (yes more than one time) the worse my mail delivery is getting. The manager just shrugged his shoulders and said "I'll talk the the driver". When is the postal employee here going to learn how to read addresses? I've received a great amount of mail for other people in the complex I live in. First of all, I am disabled and unable to travel the neighborhood trying to find out who gets the mail that's delivered to my apartment. Secondly, don't the employees get paid to deliver mail to the correct addresses? This is a great example of "...and they only had one job to do." I understand mistakes; I make them myself, but 2 to 3 times a week? Come on, lets get a grip! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We have the worst mail carrier ever. We only receive about half of our packages that were left 'in or at mailbox.' I an starting to think she is either just too lazy to deliver them or she's keeping them. I've had to cancel subscriptions to three places because I wasn't receiving my monthly packages even though it said delivered. I called the post office and was pretty much told 'it says it was delivered..' I am looking into filing a formal complaint. read more

I have to say that this is the worst mail service that I have ever seen. Our mail has been dropped on the road in front of our mailbox with the mailbox door laying open. I have had mail placed in my box that doesn't belong to me. I have had people come to my door with my mail, and people come to my door looking for their mail. I have had mail that was never delivered. We never know when to look for mail delivery, sometimes early afternoon other days late in the evening. I will not use my post office in Deer Park because of the rudeness, and attitude from the woman behind the counter. I don't think she realizes who pays her wages. I use Pasadena post office on Spencer Hwy, to avoid this woman. The employees there are friendly and helpful. It's no wonder the Post Offices are losing business with this kind of service. Don't get me wrong, I believe there are post offices that do their jobs and do it well, but this one is not one of them..... read more

On several occasions now weights and, consequently, postage charged have been inaccurate at this station. Yesterday I was told that my letter was more than an ounce and required additional postage. I knew that was not the case--the letter was .81 oz (I have a very accurate postal scale and a 1 ounce brass weight that I use daily for my calibrating my scale.) I left without mailing my letter, proceeding to the neighboring Pasadena Post Office on Spencer. They confirmed that the postage I put on the letter as well as the .81 oz weight reading were both accurate. Either scales are not being calibrated or something else is afoot! read more

I use this post office because it's the closest. However, the staff isn't any less rude than the usual post office employee. I see the same employees there every time I go, one is Alex who has a bit of an attitude if you ask more questions than he wants to answer and the other two are black women who could care less that your even there because their going to give you an attitude no matter what you do, especially the older one. You definitely don't want to call for information because they're even worse. The line sometimes move along without problem but that's about the only good quality of this post office. read more

We all grew up with that one substitute teacher that was really cool and looked forward to having when your regular teacher had to be out. Well the same doesnt apply to mail carriers! Our regular mail carrier was not working this past Saturday, Jan. 19,2018 so instead the WORST employee of this branch was in his place. I'm sure you know who it is, at one point his hair was pink....... yes, PINK! He has that really unpleasant demeanor, doesnt like to take packages to the front door (instead its wherever he decides to leave them), he also has a snarky, sarcastic and rude way of talking to you (if you're ever that unfortunate to have to deal with in person). Ive also been told by several other in office employees and other substitute carriers that this guy even had a customer follow him back to the post office to physically fight him!! Well my issue this time, yes THIS TIME (there's been more then one) was that he drove right past me without making eye contact or even saying a word (probably since Ive called and gone up to the post office in person to make complaints, also filing complaints with the USPS Consumer Affairs Dept.) and continued on to the next house to deliver mail. Yes there was a vehicle parked in front my mailbox but that was why I waited for him at the end of my driveway. I even yelled out to him, when he stopped next door, and asked if there was any mail (I knew there was, since there were 2 packages scheduled for delivery according to USPS tracking) and of course got no response from him. I continued to watch him deliver mail as he drove down the street and even saw him get out to deliver a package 4 houses down. Calling to complain to the carriers supervisor, Roger, is also a waste of time as he has almost the same attitude and demeanor as this carrier does. So AGAIN I had to call consumer affairs (I have my own representative now since Ive called so many times about this carrier) and explained to her what happened..... this time. I told her I was just shocked that he still has a job or at least a job dealing with people at the post office She said its hard for someone to get fired from USPS, by the time all the complaints get filed for a hearing, the person is of retirement age. read more
