A friend drove me to the post office to pick up the mail that had been held and to have future mail forwarded to the Assisted living. First of all, there was nothing but junk mail that had been held. I have informed delivery so I know for a fact that a lot more mail should have been there, including new checks and a debit card. NOTHING but junk mail was held. I filled out a forward of address card since I would have to spend 2 months in assisted living. I never received one bit of forwarded mail. When I was well enough to come home I stopped at the Shelby post office and there was not one piece of mail. This means that all my bills, checks, debit cards etc were lost from the beginning of Sept through the end of November. Nowhere to be found. I even checked in post offices in Hickory to see if they knew anything. NOPE. 3 months of lost mail and no one is being held accountable. I have never had such poor service from any post office before this. If I could give it a zero rating I would. It should be investigated or closed for the lack of efficiency.

I wasn't familiar with the location of this place so I just cruised around until I found it. It's actually located across the street from Gardner Webb University. Three stars; a bit generous concerning any Post Office coming from me. Very limited parking and I didn't see any outside drop boxes. This one is typical of most and nothing unusual that I could determine.

Their entrance is open that no limit of customers lining up. No lunch break close. Normal working hours easy to follow. After not even a wait, they kept telling us sorry for us to wait. They were working fast. Especially a lady Anna, of course I remember her as she has my same name. She is super friendly and always wears a sweet smile. How can customers get mad for waiting. Even I have to drive miles to get here, whenever I can afford my time, I rather come here for their service. That may be the reason, they are so busy. Good job! Thanks for their service.

I guess thats considered "close" living in Charlotte. I came here to return a Shein order. My package was for "scan and drop off" but I didn't have it sealed and needed to buy tape. The Post offices I've been to usually sells tape and various other packaging items inside but this location did not. The mail lady was kind enough to staple my package shut and applied the shipping label over the staples to seal it off more.

The hours are inconvenient and as quickly as Landrum is growing you would think it's time to go back to normal business hours and/or hire more people if you need to close down to catch up on your work! Also, if you have a question, don't try to call because they almost never answer the phone! I have had to drive there several times just to get answers that could have easily been answered over the phone!

I'm not sure if they are understaffed or if they move slowly or what the issue is, but there was always a line. Morning or afternoon. Always a line and always slow. Sadly, you can't even see in the door to see the line. Once you locate a parking space and walk up to the door, it can put a sour taste in your mouth seeing how long the line is and if you decide to stay, how slowly it will move. Never come here at lunch time!! Other than all that, simple mail drop is very easy. You can drop mail in the box from either direction, making it convenient to come and go.
