During my younger college and adult years, I banked with Wells Fargo and Bank of America but I always found long lines for service during most of my visits. When I settled down in Temecula in March of 2019, I decided to open my checking account with a smaller local bank and I chose Provident because other members of my family have enjoyed banking with them for almost 20 years. Whenever I need to go inside this location (there is an ATM outside), I am always greeted with smiles by Bekah, Anthony, Armando and the rest of the friendly staff. I am usually helped within a couple of minutes, sometimes right away as there are not long lines when compared to the bigger nationwide banks. Most importantly, I have never had one problem with any of my direct deposits, funds transferred or debit cards issued by Provident. I started with one basic checking account in 2019 and now have three accounts with Provident and will continue to give them my business as long as I am a local resident of Temecula or Murrieta. i was a victim of an internet scam/fraud/ identityt theft. the scammers used that information to…read moretake out a loan with onemain financial. i disputed the loan but omf refuses to dispute the loan. when i ordered and received the loan documents, it was clear that it was a digital signature. when i asked for proof that they had validated it was me, the response was that since it was my email, address, phone number on the application that was their proof. somehow, they did not understand that with a stolen identity all that info is available. they offered me no other proof i had taken out the loan. i did not apply for this loan. i sent them a copy of the ftc report i filed relative to the scam and a copy of my driver's license which clearly has my actual signature. this was all to no avail. now i am being reported delinquent. when they sent me a letter to advise me they declined my dispute, the letter had my name mispelled, the address was incorect, and the grammer in the letter was incoherent.

The establishment is in line with the COVID safety policy. Social distancing labels were professionally posted in and outside of the facility. There was plexiglass integrated throughout the customer service line. The security guard was courteous and did an amazing job ushering the customers in line and was even able to answer a few transactional questions. A perfect example of organizational empowerment and taking ownership of job responsibilities and going beyond expectations. What also caught my attention was when David, the front desk representative, walked an elderly man to his car. The teamwork and positivity in this bank are apparent. The downside was when I was directed to send an email in the morning this past Tuesday for an appointment at noon and that a call or an email will be sent to confirm the request before stopping by at the branch.
