All My Sons Moving & Storage

All My Sons Moving & Storage

Great service and the worker was excellent they handled my stuff well and everything went wellread more

From the beginning, communication was inconsistent and misleading. When we first spoke with a…read morerepresentative, I clearly explained that in addition to our large furniture items, we also had clothes, decorations, and other household belongings that would be packed in boxes. The person provided us with a quote based on that information. A second representative called closer to the move date and did not express any confusion about the scope of our move. However, just a day or two before moving, Justin contacted us and only referenced the large furniture items. When I again mentioned boxes and smaller items, Justin seemed confused and then increased our quote. On moving day, the crew arrived late, and one of the movers smelled strongly of marijuana. The main guy said he was "a little" worried about all of our belongings fitting on the truck, that then somehow lead to about a third to a half of our belongings being left behind. After loading, they told us they would unload the truck the next morning instead of that same day. The lead mover even made a comment along the lines of, "If I was feeling like a cowboy today, we'd unload, but we'll just do it tomorrow." This raised serious concerns about whether they had simply chosen not to finish the job. We later overheard him on the phone with the company falsely stating that we had agreed to next-day unloading, which we absolutely had not. They only unloaded that night after I called and complained to their logistics department. To make matters worse, we were told they needed to make additional stops (including going out of the way to drop off a crew member and get a gas card), and it felt like they treated those delays as if they were our responsibility. I had to drive ahead to Florida to meet the movers, while my mother-in-law and wife, both of whom have physical medical issues, were left to handle the situation. They had to quickly move everything off carpeted areas for a scheduled carpet cleaning, carry remaining items downstairs, and finish cleaning the rest of the house themselves. Later that night, my wife had to drive to Florida to help with things there. Then we had to rent our own truck (at an additional cost), drive back to Savannah, load the remaining items ourselves with the help of a friend, and return to Florida again, late at night. We (my wife, mother-in-law, and I) had to then unload the truck (at 2 am), to be able to return it to avoid further rental charges. When we contacted Justin about the situation, the only solution offered was for us to pay an additional $2,000 for another crew to retrieve the items they left behind, which is why we ended up renting a truck. When we declined, he seemed surprised. He was also rude and condescending throughout our conversations. He lied multiple times.. First saying it was up to the movers whether to load and unload, then claiming it was a mutual decision between us and them, then when he was called out on another lie, he hung up. The movers caused property damage by repeatedly slamming their dolly onto the brick area in front of our house, breaking several bricks. They only put down protective padding after we asked them to. They also left behind trash, including tape and wrapping materials, and caused scuff marks on our walls, leaving us with even more cleanup. Overall, this experience was stressful, unprofessional, and extremely costly, not just financially, but physically and emotionally. I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere.

We hired 2 Men & A Truck to move a small hot tub. They assured us that they had the necessary…read moreequipment to move the tub up 18 wide stairs, through our house, and onto our deck. We had taken photos of the tub before hand and after. Three sides of our hot tub were damaged. This 1-star review is not about the damage. This review is a result of their lack of professionalism in handling the claim. We paid them EXTRA for what they deemed "insurance" to cover damages, but then refused to use that coverage to cover the damages they caused. I was told by Dalton Duran that they would send someone to our home to look at the damage and then settle with us. But continuous attemps to reach him resulted in being ghosted. We are filing a claim in civil court as a result. Just a word to the wise. Always get pictures before and after and be prepared for the worst. They aren't professional enough to handle the mistakes they makes. I'll never use them again. You shouldn't, either.

Gotta say, super unimpressed. It's taken me about six months to write this review because, let's…read moreface it unpacking takes time and I wanted to be thorough. So, let's start with the positives. The quote was in line with others we had received, and we had great reviews from friends. Staff were friendly and on time for both loading and unloading. Now, here's where the fun begins. I'll write a bulleted list because that's going to be easiest for folks to follow. 1. They did not (despite assurances to the contrary) have a truck big enough to fit all of our stuff. So that meant we had to leave some (expensive) things behind for the new owner at a ridiculously discounted price. I now have to buy a new outdoor setting, fire pit and BBQ. 2. Things were packed SO tightly into the truck that several heirlooms and items were damaged/broken (dents in washing machines, scratches on furniture, side tables broken, vases shattered). Of most frustration was an item of my late mother-in-laws that was shattered even though it was packed well (by AMS!). 3. The thing that pissed me off the most was the lack of interest the movers showed. In fact, they just left the broken stuff in the garage and when I found it they said "oh yeah, we were going to tell you about that." There was a lot of finger pointing to the "loading" crew who were different to the "unloading" crew. Obviously there's no way to tell who is responsible for the foolery. 4. The unloading crew tried to tell me they weren't able to put the furniture (beds) back together despite that being included in the price. They did it when I gave them my well-practiced disapproving teacher look. 5. They also didn't want to reconnect the washer and dryer (see above). 6. All this to say we totally realize things are going to get jammed up in a move. Especially one involving storage and several hundred miles. However, instead of saying "oh, hey! We don't have a big enough truck for all this" they just squished it alllll on in there. Further, we were promised a larger truck for unloading and that did not happen. More care could have been taken, especially for the price (and we also tipped both moving crews). All in all, I'm most upset about the broken and damaged stuff that was due to lack of care and concern and not having enough space. We may have had a rotten experience, and this may be an anomaly, but it's worth sharing.
