This place is great! I have had really tasty takeout experiences here and their delivery is quick. We love chow mein fried rice and their lunch specials Give the perfect amount of food. My husband loves their sweet and sour shrimp, beef broccoli, hot and sour soup, and of course their chow mein. I'm a big fan of all their dishes, but I personally replace the protein with tofu because their is fried and I love the texture different with the soft interior. Always piping hot, always overflowing. So nostalgic and always hits the spot. They are nice and clean. Thanks!!! read more

Beware of ordering delivery online!! New ownership. I placed an order for delivery online. After over an hour of waiting for my delivery, I called the restaurant and they said they no longer do deliveries and didn't even place my order and didn't bother calling me to tell me that they didn't place my order nor deliver. I hope they give me a refund because I paid extra for delivery, left a tip and didn't get my food!! Bad business!!! read more

Food was really good. We ordered an entire buffet and our total only came out to 60 bucks AND they gave us a coupon for a free entree! We ordered delivery and even though their website said it would take over an hour, it was there in about 30 mins. The delivery driver was very nice and there was nothing missing from our order. I stopped in to have dinner on a suggestion of a neighboring business owner. I was told, "If you like Chinese food, then you should give them a try." I am glad I did. I had the Dinner Special, which included egg drop soup, an egg roll, a crab ragoon, and my choice of entree. The egg drop soup was perfect...hot with a little salt. It was good to the last drop. Then, when the main course came, the serving portions were large! I will be able to have lunch tomorrow!!! I was greeted with a smile and routinely checked on as I ate my meal. When the check came, I could not believe that I was so blessed to have a great meal at such a reasonable price. I would recommend this little place to you as it was recommended to me!!! read more

Fast food Chinese. Typical with most of the orders being takeout. They have seating at 4 tables. Staff friendly and quick. They had several people eating in and a few orders to go before my order and only waited about 5-10 minutes. Food was large portion for to go. Had some time to din-in and it was much better than take out. All the veggies were fresh and crunchy. The egg rolls that come with the lunch special was really good when it's hot and fresh. I have to knock a star off from my last review because they added way too much sauce to the Mongolian Beef which made it too sweet and savory otherwise still a solid alternative to Panda Express. Next time I'll have to ask for less sauce. You get a cup of egg drop soup if you dine-in but there are only a few tables. read more

Fire time here. I ordered over the phone and while I was order he made me hold on while I was speaking ... anyways, I ordered a taro and a honeydew slush with boba and he told me 10-15 minutes. I waited the ten minutes before going inside and the place smelled really bad. I know that Nevada water ain't that great but my goodness the smell was not good. Anyways, after I paid for it I waited another 3-4 minutes before he even started making it... When he gave it to me the honeydew was sorta leaking... The drink was not good at all. It tasted like water with a hint of honeydew. I didn't even want to try the taro one at all, but my S/O didn't like it at all either said it tasted like water. The food is disgusting. The meat tastes rotten, the rice is mushy like baby food, and I've seen the cook and the way he makes food. No gloves, digging into food and serving it. I even saw him wipe his face with his hand before cutting chicken. This entire place is disgusting and I'm calling the health department. There were roaches in the bathroom. DO NOT GO HERE. I got food and tried so hard to just forget what I witnessed and give them the benefit of the doubt but I couldn't even finish the food I got because I was so scared I was going to get sick. The only thing you can really get here is water but only if it's bottled. read more

I work nearby and only have 30 minutes for lunch. So, I thought I would give this place a try. First the bad: Cleanliness and smell. I can't t place the smell, but I'm guessing cabbage soup and old grease. Also you can tell the place needs a deep cleaning. The Great: The price, the speed of service and The Food. I got the Hot Garlic Chicken lunch special. Comes with egg drop soup, egg roll, side of either fried rice or lo mein noodles, and the entree. I added a bottled water and still paid under 10 bucks. Soup was actually pretty good (probably the only thing pre-made) and was on my table within 2 minutes of ordering. Within 5 more minutes, I had the rest in front of me. Garlic chicken was excellent. Great flavors. Fried rice, pretty darned good. Egg roll passable. My take is: If you have a delicate sense of smell or a deep yearning for spic and span, this is not for you. Don't deny yourself the food though. Order their takeout, you won't be disappointed. read more

We discovered this place 4 years ago, we lived at an apartment near by. Now we live 30 mins away on the other side of the valley and still come back for more. Their lunch time prices are unbeatable and the amount of food fills up the whole plate!! Now everyone has a different taste bud, and I agree the cook of the day matters but this place is consistent 9/10 haha The inside is like a typical Chinese restaurant, boxes everywhere etc... I'd definitely recommend! We love this place read more

They are serving all their food in SMALLER plastic containers instead of their old larger styrofoam containers. you get MUCH LESS food for more expensive prices. fix your portion sizes and you will get more customers. read more

I'm a regular here and came to pick my food up, and walked RIGHT OUT soon as I saw the chef USE HIS BARE HANDS TO GRAB the food in the silver containers onto the stove. I'll NEVER be coming back here again. Should always have gloves. He's even holding a spoon in his hand and used his hand !! Lazy and nasty to me. read more

I used to eat here a lot because I love Chinese food. Haven't been here for a while because last time all the food tasted the same. over breaded chicken and cornstarch gravy. Well I tried again after a year and I order chicken chow mein with crispy noodles. I really just wanted the noodles lol. They charge extra for it. The website doesn't let you select/change it with your entrée ... but rest assured they WILL CALL YOU to make sure that you know they are going to do so. Okay Fine. Looking for a cheap place for lunch and I remembered seeing a sign that this place had a lunch special. $5.55 for lunch ($6 on the spot after taxes) dine-in only soup, rice/noodles and dish, fountain drink. A whopping deal in my book! I thought it was a real restaurant, with a waiter that serves you, but it's not! You go in and order at the front and then sit down and they will bring the food to you. Gigantor portions! Very clean place and the stuff is very welcoming! Food wise: I had better beef and broccoli in my life. The sauce was good, just the texture of the beef was not my favorite...very chewy. I will go back to try other dishes though. Egg drop soup was very delicious! I got this awesome looking menu in the mail today for U Ni Express. Ordered food at 615pm and didn't get until 8! Called twice said was next for delivery. I don't live that far away. Thai ice tea was good. Thai sweet & Spicy chicken - chicken was so soggy, there was chiles in dish but sadly didn't really add any heat to it. General chicken was also soggy ): Vegetable chow menu was good. Egg rolls were cold Bad experience, bad service when I called in, food might be okay if it was actually warm/hot. I think it might even be up there as one of my new favorite ramen spots in town, alongside Hashi in Chinatown and Kyuramen in Anthem! The best part is, with how close this restaurant is to my place, I don't have to make nearly as long of a drive if I want ramen. Umai Ramen is located in the Target shopping complex on Sunset and Stephanie, tucked away in the line of shops between Hobby Lobby and Ross. I first spotted this place when I went to the nearby H&R Block to get my taxes done earlier in the year, but I never really had an excuse to come out here until I had the ramen craving strike, and hard -- hence why I decided to bite the bullet and check the place out. One of the things that struck me immediately was their offerings -- of course, they have ramen of all types as you might guess from the name. But they also have different styles of ramen that you don't typically find anywhere, like the more elusive mazemen no-broth ramen, udon noodles, and even tsukemen-style ramen! To say nothing of some of the appetizers -- again, while they have the typical offerings of other noodle houses in town, they also have a selection of items that you really can't find anywhere else. They have multiple types of ramen with unusual toppings, such as their truffle ramen with mushrooms and steak (I need to try that next time I'm here), but I went pretty safe with their black garlic ramen, considered a signature item on their menu, and added an extra egg to it. If I were honest, I didn't need it because the ramen was so full of delicious toppings that I couldn't put my chopsticks or spoon down! Their appetizers are also a must -- I ordered their orange salmon and mango scallops, and I would highly recommend both of those as well. Between bites, the servers would check in on me, refill my water, and provide additional napkins as needed, as well. Needless to say, I'm hooked -- and already I'm thinking of the next time I go here! What will I try next? If you're in the area, give Umai Ramen a try. You just might come back for more.
