Do not use this location/U-Haul in general if you are not prepared to have your equipment cancelled or changed several times in the days leading up to your move (even if it has been planned and scheduled for months). The employee at this location told me paying for express shipping is a joke because it does not change the arrival date. This was a horrendous experience overall. DO NOT RECOMMEND. PS. Go to Council Hitch for hitch installation instead. They were wonderful and efficient with no unexpected surprises. read more

DO NOT HAVE YOUR HITCH INSTALLED HERE. RUN AWAY I had a hitch installed on my Jeep Grand Cherokee, Price i thought was right. As soon as i picked it up and pulled out of the lot onto maple every electronic on it died. Died, No windows, lights, dash anything. I immediately turned around and went right back in. What happened after this is amazing... the manager came out looked at it and said and I quote "How do I know you didnt pull over down the road and do something to it yoruself" End quote. Are you serious?? A big argument insued with him walking away from me. I brought it to the dealership and the dealership found they installed the wiring into the wrong spots and ended up frying out the optical relays in the vehicle. $3900 dollars and 2 days of rewiring. I brought this report back to them and the manager still refused to do anything saying I cant prove anything and that it could have been me who did it on purpose?? Long story short I ended up finding their insurance company and filed a claim. The insurance claim agent was great. Apologized and said they have this issue very often with uhaul and jeep's and they wrote a check immediately to the dealership. I thought about calling a news station after this. This has to be one of the worst companies I have dealt with in my life!!!!!!!!! read more

This was an absolutely horrible experience. My vehicle's engine died while I was traveling around 70 mph on the highway. I tried 6 times to reach the rental branch and kept getting sent to other places. I eventually got the vehicle running again with the check engine light on. At one point I stopped and had a uhaul affiliated mechanic come out and he said he couldn't find anything wrong. They would not let me drop the vehicle off, they would not let me switch out. I was forced to drive the faulty vehicle another 180 miles or so. I didn't feel safe at all the entire time. No one has contacted me about rectifying this situation. No one has offered me a discount. Frankly, no one has even apologized. This was absurdly bad costumer service combined with dangerous business practice. read more

Great place to go and rent moving vehicles! Also inexpensive and also the customer service is top notch. The general manager knows exactly the right answers to all your questions. After driving all night to get back home, we gassed up the rental untill the fuel handle popped indicating it was full. We then drove to the rental office, and turned in the vehicle. But before we paid the rental, we were advised to see the "check in representative ", to see if the vehicle was clean...and full of fuel. We were told that the gas tank was not full, and it would be an additional $11.oo if we did not go fill it....(and the attitude of the check in representative ), was less than friendly. At this time being tired of traveling, I told him to charge me. I will NEVER rent anything from UHAUL anywhere at anytime ever again. I've worked several years in the past as a car rental agent, and never did such a "scam" for more money for gas, ever! The employees at this store are brass and arrogant and non friendly from the word go. Be ware of the gas tactics they have waiting for you at the end of your long journey. read more

Always, Always check the trailer hook up yourself. That is what I learned at this Uhaul. They FAILED to do so and as a result I had a loaded trailer come off the ball and damage my bumper. Now one would think their insurance would cover damages, nope, they are self insured which means the owner decides if his people are at fault or if the customer is lying. I even had a passenger as a witness to this event and it means nothing. At the very least I expected to get my rental payment refunded. Never even offered this or even an apology. They installed & sold me a trailer hitch & luggage tray for the back of my car. No instructions, no warnings. I needed them to drive my daughter to school in Oregon. The first day, the contents on the tray completely caught on fire & burned up my entire car. We were lucky to make it out. Apparently you're not supposed to use the luggage trays with cars that have tail pipes that stick out the back. I certainly didn't know that - I was relying on the professionals to put something safe on my car - it's not like I had some redneck neighbor put it on. The U-haul company is completely uninterested and refuses ANY reimbursement at all for the contents - I wish I could post photos here, you can see all my daughter's posessions in the car and my work computer was destroyed. We couldn't get a hotel or a rental car because our ID burned up in our purses. It was a very traumatic experience. U-Haul should WARN PEOPLE - someone could have died here but they don't care. And this has happened before - I looked it up afterwards. BOOO U-HAUL!!!!! read more
