Do not rent from this U-Haul. The steering on the van I rented was misaligned, so van drifted right…read moreconstantly. Plus, the charges on my bill were incorrect, so I had to spend time arguing with them to get them fixed. I returned the dolly to the worker inside the U-Haul office, instead of leaving it on the truck. He accepted it, but then I was charged over $150 for a missing dolly. The bigger problem was the van. I've rented plenty of U-Hauls before, but this is the first time I had a vehicle that was truly problematic. I should have returned it, but, once you've started a move, you don't want to stop. I ended up minorly denting the bumper on a curb. The U-Haul said the repair cost was $1700 (although I had insurance so price to me was the deductible, $150). There is no way a minor dent on a bumper is a $1700 fix. And they did not look at the van to test the steering; they just put it back in the lot for the next person to rent.

My car was incorrect hitched, in fact when uhaul took me car off the trailer hitch, they informed…read moreme that my passenger wheel wasn't even latched correctly. Yes, this means if my car fell off the uhaul someone could have been killed. Not to mention, due to incorrect installation, my car needs $5,000 in repairs due to a dent. I might also might add, when we arrived nobody knew what was happening and uhaul tried to double charge my dad for the trailer. They kept calling the manager for help several times. In addition, they never gave us a dolly or blankets. I would give a 0 if I could. Everyone keeps telling me that uhaul won't pay for the damages of my car for THEIR mistake but let's see. The ball is in your court. Last, make this a teachable moment that your staff knows how to install cars correctly. Luckily, cars can be replaced but you guys are lucky that someone didn't die as a result of poor training and guidance!
