Listen to this... HOUSTON POLICE CREDIT UNION decided our…read moredeductible wasn't low enough, so they purchased additional insurance for us WITHOUT our permission or knowledge which cost $2044 and they ADDED that to our loan! They did not even tell us, we signed nothing. We ALREADY had insurance. They said there's nothing they can do to remove the insurance. They sent us a letter, the day we got the letter I adjusted our deductible and send them proof. They had already bought it, LAST YEAR before they even sent us a letter about it (3 weeks ago) THIS HAS TO BE ILLEGAL!!! So we're going to refinance it elsewhere (with the extra $2000 added onto our loan.) #houstonpolicecreditunion #PredatoryLending #houstontx #Houstonpolicecreditunionarethieves

Well Facebook Family venting!! Idk if any of you have an account with Woodforest National Bank or…read morenot! If not you are lucky like Jon and I are. Unfortunately due to various factors my brother has had to go there. My brother has gone through multiple types of cancers and is not able to work anymore and got scammed out of a lot of money too! So, in attempt to help him we are his DPOA's as coagents that need to agree! So, I went to Woodforest branch in Walmart off 290 close to Holister..where he got his account. Gave the DPOA and copies of tdl for both my husband and I and brother. From there I went back spoke to same assistant manager that initially helped me to check on approval- she said it was ok. I never received anything in writing! I tried to pay something via zelle and that's where things got locked up online. So, I went back to the branch as my brother went the day before and they didn't not help him at all. I asked to speak to the Branch Manager (remember I thought all was approved) and she refused to help in any fashion and refused to believe his phone only worked when someone calls him and he can only call 911 (due to owing cell company) she called me a liar and I asked her to please call him or I could and she could do the verification! She said NO I won't do that! I was pissed! Next day take my brother and husband (remember he is locked out to online banking). She proceeded to claim she didn't know and acted at one time as though I was not there I asked her to stop lying and she refused... her name is Reena. I couldn't believe the extreme she lied and finally called her a liar and then she called me a Racist! Wow! Ends up due to our dpoa being with coagents and we have to agree Woodforest legal department has denied accepting our dpoa and could care less if something happens to dpoa and the surviving family member has to get guardianship! With my CLL I felt better having my husband as my backup...so did brother! So, learn from our mistakes- 1)don't get in situation to need a second chance bank they fee you to death and they make up the rules what they will or won't do no matter the law. 2) Don't bank at location 13484 NW Freeway, Houston, Tx 77040 especially if you are white - Manager Reene is rude (I observed her prior to our visit again she sits in a corner on her computer doesn't say hi or smile to any customers! 3) Learned on Friday from Customer service manager that Woodforest won't take just anyone's complaint you have to have an account with them for over 90 days. 4) if you get an account at Woodforest remember zelle isn't really an option for 1st 90 days over whatever they designate. That location has the worst Branch Manager I have seen in a very long time! It's sad I was treated as I was a fraudster and a liar and she didn't deny those facts the next day with 2 men with me and tried to blame legal for how she treated me! Legal said she doubted anyone would give those instructions and said my complaint won't be taken! So, even though Texas laws allows it - we have to do another dpoa to satisfy them! Had I been treated better by Manager and she called my brother and worked with him to get him back online that first time (as she should have) I wouldn't have such a beef - but being treated poorly and like I was lying and a fraudster- then to learn they don't care if he can pay his bills if something happens to the dpoa. That's why Texas made it where more than one can be one it. Plus the legal department didn't even mail the letter they just put it in my brothers account under documents. The irony as I got loud both days (I felt other needed to know her behavior banking there) and her employees looked scared... the 2nd time the employees looked like they were loving it - me standing up to her! Who knows how she really is, but she is a poor Branch Manager bottomline and Woodforest is not a people friendly company and only cares what they want to do with your money and trying to figure out how much they can charge you too! It's sad how the many are taken advantage of and when others try to help and Bank refuses to do anything except tell me to get another dpoa at my expense when another bank accepted it! Ok... done for now... my apologies for grammar mistakes and such! Just wrong to instantly accuse someone of fraud and lying without knowing anything about situation or believe a person... think she believed it when I said we weren't leaving until YOU get things fixed for him online! Took an hour and 1/2 and she never apologized to him or us either. Smh
