2019 Update: The prices went up $0.75 ...that's crazy inflation! Time to find another laundromat.

Easiest way to do your laundry beats using quarters. My favorite place to do my laundry it's quiet and is always clean. Never had any problem. Been coming here since 2008.

At the worst possible time, my washing machine decided to break down... ARRGGHHH!! ‍ I had five…read moreloads of laundry to wash, dry, and fold, and one load was stuck on the rinse cycle at home. I'm new to the area, and let's be honest--you don't just pull up to any random laundromat. So I did what most people do and checked Yelp to see what everyone was saying. The great reviews led me to The Laundry Place in Compton. I parked in the back lot. It's small, but I had no problem finding a space. Before unloading all my laundry, I went inside to check the place out. They have some construction going on, but it doesn't interfere with getting your laundry done. The facility was surprisingly clean and well maintained, and all of the machines looked like they were in excellent condition. I was especially impressed with the huge 80-pound commercial washer--it was only $9.75, which I thought was a great price. One thing I really appreciated was that I didn't have to deal with people hanging around outside. There wasn't central A/C, but they had a large industrial portable unit that kept the place comfortable enough that I barely noticed. There were plenty of chairs and tables, although I wish there were a few more folding tables. I made it work and folded my clothes on one of the available tables. The woman working there was friendly, helpful, and answered all of my questions. While I was folding, a gentleman came in, introduced himself as Eric, the owner, and asked how my experience had been. I told him it was actually the Yelp reviews that brought me in! I also really liked their card system. First-time customers receive a credit toward their wash, and you earn an extra $3 for every $25 you load onto your card. That's definitely a nice bonus. Best of all, my clothes came out super clean--no mystery stains! The dryers handled large loads really well. My only suggestion would be for the dryers to run a little longer than five minutes per cycle, but adding more time is easy. Just tap your card, and each additional 25¢ gives you four more minutes. Hopefully, I won't be without my washer and dryer for too long, but I would absolutely recommend The Laundry Place to anyone looking for a clean, well-maintained laundromat with friendly service. I'll definitely be back to wash my oversized comforters. Thanks, The Laundry Place, for exceeding my expectations!

PRICE UPDATE…read more February 22, 2025 (My last pricing was done on: February 13, 2022) Today I came to wash (and not dry) my drapes. I found the following... CHANGES: WASHERS TOP LOADERS: $3.00 - - Qty: 15 (up $1.00) FRONT LOADERS: $4.00 - - Qty.: 5 (20 lbs) (up $1.00 since 2/13/22)) $4.50 - - Qty.: 12 (30 lbs.) (up $1.25) $5.50 - - Qty.: 6 (40 lbs.) (up $1.00) $6.50 - - Qty.: 4 (60 lbs.) (up $1.00) $9.00- $9.50 - - Qty.: 1 (80 lbs.) (up $1.75-$200) DRYERS 25 cents per 10 minutes This was the same as the price I encountered in 2022. I am not sure if the ten minute timer setting has remained the same or not because my drapes stated not to dry them... a.k.a. I didn't use the dryers. DRYER SIZE: 2 loads - - Qty.: 42 NON-FUNCTIONING: None of the 20 lbs washers (5) were functional. 1 of the 60 lbs washers was out of order (motor bearing) MISSING IN ACTION: I noticed that the charging station was no longer where it used to be, so maybe that is completely gone. If so that sucks because that was an awesome thing to find at a business like this. Overall, I really didn't look around much, as my wash didn't take much time. END GAME: Despite the price increase, which really didn't seem like a lot to me since I still only come here to wash larger items, like drapes, sleeping bags and holiday/season bedding (to refresh it, prior to use and before packing it away), I would still return.

Decent enough place to wash at. Seemed clean and had someone on site when I went. Would go back…read moreagain if I needed to.
