I searched all of NoVA for the best orthodontist because I'm extremely picky and-- admittedly-- a difficult client. As it turns out, Dr. Le ended up being the perfect doctor for my annoying self! He worked with MY strict timeline and aggressive treatment plan, always with a caring and compassionate approach. He is not only very patient and caring (words you normally wouldn't use to describe an orthodontist), but he's also very knowledgeable and a perfectionist. He's a hobby artist, which spills right into his work. His office staff is also just as competent, kind, and professional. I started coming here a few months ago for my 14 year old sister's braces. As soon as we walked in, the place looks like the lobby of a spa! Here are the amenities of just the waiting room alone: - Gorgeous modern decor - 2 huge flat screen TVs - Incredibly comfortable couch and lounge chairs - A separate area with table and chairs with it's own TV - A separate room to make phone calls in without disturbing other patients - Keurig machine with several coffee and hot chocolate options -Bottled water - Toy machines for EACH PATIENT! At the end of the appointment, each person gets a coin to use to pick out a toy from the machine - Receptionist is incredibly friendly and even gave us extra coins because I had 3 other kids with me and she didn't want them to get bored waiting for our sister - Free wifi It is very obvious that they care about their patients a LOT here. Dr. Le is the nicest, most honest doctor I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He walked us through the work that my sister needed done and was incredibly patient with us. He gave great advice on some issues we had with sucking her thumb and he is very good with kids. He spoke to my sister in terms that she would understand, and used real life stories to help ease her. We had some issues with our insurance and it took about a month to figure them out, but Dr. Le kept me updated every week and to make sure that we got it sorted out. I can't say enough nice things about him. What kind of doctor goes out of their way to make sure their patients and their parents/guardians are so comfortable while waiting? They have Saturday appointments and when we were there this morning, I overheard another patient walk in without an appointment and Dr. Le said he would make sure he had time to see her. All I can say is the man has got unbelievable skills and an even greater heart! My son was accidentally hit in the mouth with a golf club at school. Significant trauma and a handful of displaced and broken teeth. We called him up, and he met us at his Tysons office after hours. He was calm and meticulous in evaluating my son. We were concerned about the nerve exposure from the broken teeth which would keep him up all night. He said he would take care of it. 3 hrs later, you would not believe what my son looked like. Other than the fat lip, his teeth were all back in place and my son had no pain! You would not have known what happened to him earlier in the day. I had to get braces for the obvious reason that my teeth were ugly in my eyes. Amazing and innovative describes Dr.Le and his work (trust me I have to have more done with my teeth, he's bringing my wisdom tooth forward so I can use it as a molar). With that being said let's just say I have a lot to work on to get my teeth perfect and Dr.Le is making every step easy! Please understand that braces are expensive in general. Pricing is standard if not cheaper than what the other places are charging around here. I am a college student and I am always budgeting. Dr. Le was understanding and helped me with a payment plan that was comfortable for me. It's worth it to give a little more for a lifetime of perfect teeth. We were so impressed with Dr Le's knowledge and personable approach that we did not hesitate to let Dr Le fix the imperfect work done by the previous orthodontist even though we live in Maryland. I am writing this review somewhat prematurely because my braces actually don't come off for a few more months but am so pleased with my work that I didn't want to postpone a review. I have had braces SEVEN (!!!) times in my life. Doctor after doctor did subpar work that I was never satisfied with. Dr. Le accepted me as an incognito transfer patient from the West coast. I shopped around and chose him not only because his rates were very fair but because he took the time to thoroughly analyze my case and explain the entire process to me. He was honest about the time it would take and the results I could expect. My other orthodontists have many patients in the office at the same time who are seen by assistants. Dr. Le always spends lots of time with me and addresses any concerns I have which is so rare and appreciated. Occasionally he will have an assistant change bands or something after he has looked over my progress. Usually I get an assistant named Maria who is both lovely and great at her job. She works hard to make sure I am comfortable. Seeing her always brightens my day :) The gorgeous office is in a very convient location for anyone in the DMV. It is always clean and welcoming. The staff is extremely accommodating. They always call or email me back immediately if I have a question. They even answer on days Dr. Le isn't in the office and will call him in if you have any pressing issues. I have been a patient there for a year now and don't have enough good things to say about the practice. I would recommend him to anyone looking to get work done. Shop around if you must but I promise you will not find a better orthodontist. read more

I had braces when I was 16, but over the past 40 years, my teeth started to slowly creep inward, and my front teeth were beginning to cross over...a typical older woman's post-menopause smile. I went to Dr. Le and he gave me 3 options to consider for how I would look with braces and the time it would take. I chose the metal braces but knew it would be the quickest route. Right on time, I had them off before an important high school reunion! I had many older woman ask me about being in braces, as they all felt they needed it but were too scared to have it done so late in life...and hopefully, I encouraged them to give it a go! Dr. Le is amazing. He has an artist's eye and the skills of a pro, and I always trusted whatever he suggested. He truly wants you to be happy with the results! I moved to NC a few years later, and as happens, I had a broken permanent retainer bracket. Dr. Le let me know what to ask a local orthodontist about the bracket repair, and it was done properly, but that doctor said he could never do it as well as Dr. Le had done the ceramic coating. When I happened to be in town, Dr. Le redid the repair to his perfection, and I could really tell the difference. The staff is always very kind and professional. Dr. Phu Le and his staff are the best. I'm not actually one of his patients, but a recent college graduate whose regular orthodontist is back in California. I hadn't been in a few months and I had not just one, but three brackets come loose. I called orthodontist after orthodontist, but no one would see me because I wasn't their patient (to make matters worse, I have Incognito/lingual braces). Dr. Phu Le was kind enough to see me and even better, he was very honest and open with me. He charged me $25 per loose bracket, an extremely fair price and even saw me again a week and a half later when one of them came loose again. He didn't charge for the second visit and left me a voicemail with his cellphone when I called about my bracket. It's very obvious Dr. Le cares about his patients and if I ever needed any further orthodontic work (or an emergency repair!) I would not hesitate to recommend or come back to Dr. Le. read more

We were new to the area and seeking braces for our son. We did some research and found good reviews about Dr. Le, so we went to Dr. Le. First, the office was very clean, well designed (I've been told it was done by an interior designer), and user friendly. Everything the other reviewer said about the office is correct, and the office even has an easy, touch-screen self check-in monitor (if you have an appointment, that is) -- no need to wait for the receptionist or put your name on the "list". Second, Dr. Lee and his colleagues talk to you! They REALLY talk to you! Doesn't sound like much, but in this day and age when doctors rush you out the door, it reminds me of the old days where doctors actually listened and explained everything. I even wondered how the team has time for all the patients, but they spend lots of time with you. Dr. Le and his colleagues explained ALL the options, and no bullying or promoting of any particular treatment option. Third, unlike many other specialists in his field, Dr. Le's Invisalign system is VERY thorough. That is, when others use one liner for, say, 3 weeks, Dr. Le's program involves new liners for every week. And he doesn't charge more for that. So your teeth are adjusted gradually, and the patient isn't subject to drastic changes in the liners that could cause discomfort. Fourth, whenever we had issues (e.g., loss of liner container, abrupt change in schedule), Dr. Le's office was very accomodating. Lastly, this review may sound like a paid promotion but it isn't. My son is a REAL patient there and I rarely go online posting reviews, but Dr. Le is an exception. Fantastic doctor and staff! Wouldn't go anywhere else! read more
