Dr. Marzban work
Ollie B.

I am extremely disappointed in my results and and have tried to handle this with Dr. Marzban and her team, to no avail. I will leave an honest review at this point. I had gotten 2 incisor implants done by another doctor and went to her for her to place the incisor teeth and do general cosmetic dentistry. They also shaved down my two front teeth and put veneers on those ones as well. The whole process took about 2 years, and often times my appointments would be pushed back several weeks because they would (I assume) give my appointment to someone else. The majority of the process, they were kind and understanding and I trusted them. I got what they call a "smile trial", where they put in a temp set of fake teeth that are supposed to be exactly like how my teeth will look when they permanently put my teeth in, I was told. The smile trial was not ideal, but my teeth at the top were aligned nicely and they said they could not possibly make them any bigger or longer, due to this issue and that issue. I opted to move forward at this point, as I thought there were no other options and I had waited long enough. The day came where they were going to put in the permanent teeth. The process was lengthy and at no point was i given a mirror to show how the teeth were going to look and at the end of the long procedure, I was shown my teeth. -I was incredibly upset and they told me to go home and take time to get used to them. I didn't want to be rude and didn't say much about them. After several days and showing others, taking pictures and looking at myself in the mirror, I knew I was right to be upset. I have attached pictures of what they looked like (and pictures of when I got them fixed by another doctor). The teeth were smaller, not even, put in crookedly and completely off. Even the color looked off. I immediately went back to Dr. Marzban's office and expressed my concerns- this is where the heavy disappointment comes in. -She said there is nothing that can be done, she did the best job and I needed to not search for perfection because I was never going to find it. I was sad my doctor who I trusted was gaslighting me essentially.. Long story short, I go to another doctor (which she advised against because she didn't trust anyone could possibly do a better job than her), got them fixed in 1 MONTH, and I absolutely love them. They are even, longer, fit my face, and I am finally happy with my smile. I no longer cover my face when I laugh! I showed Dr. Marzban and she did admit they looked good but said she will not offer any refund. She did not take any responsibility for the fact that they didn't look like my smile trial, were crooked and put the blame on me, the patient. I am so disappointed and wished she could have worked with me, but I don't think her team can be trusted unfortunately. Perhaps smaller things that aren't related to cosmetics she may do a good job. This is up to your discretion. Attached are pictures from her work- and then the new doctor's work (her name is Dr. Sirlanli in DC and her team is great)~

Feeling like there's a lack of professionalism once I'm in or pushing me to do cosmetic services. I'm SO GLAD I found Dr Levine's practice! Staff is really friendly, the hygienist was sweet and super-chatty, and didn't shame me too bad for not flossing but still firmly advised me I need to change my non-flossing ways. Dr Levine was very thorough after the cleaning, telling me about some things that need to be watched, but didn't try to suggest any procedures, answering all my questions and providing me with a referral for orthodontic services when I requested it.

Dr. Levine has worked with me to come up with an affordable plan and to take care of the worst issues first and without much discomfort at all. I am also 5 months pregnant so the last thing I needed was more stress. I have gone through two pretty invasive procedures so far and am completely satisfied with the work. He is the best dentist I have ever been to - and I have been to a lot. Super friendly staff!

Upon arriving there, the front desk individual didn't even bother looking at my account and made me sign all the paperwork that I already did ahead of time. I didn't want to argue with her and make a bad impression for my first visit, so I just redid them all - just for her to look at my account after I handed her the papers and say, "Oh! Somebody wrote a note here saying you already did it!" I got pulled to the back by an assistant (?), she never introduced herself or what role she did. She did a fantastic job with the x-rays and cleaning though! A lady named Kim walked in next, no clue what her role was either. She spoke to me about cleaning and flossing as if I were a 5 year old child. I'm a petite woman who is on the younger side, but cmon. As someone who's worked in healthcare for over 5 years, this was the worst bedside manner I've ever seen and experienced in my life. Dr. Nguyen was the next person in the room and spoke about 5 words to me then left. I am interested in doing Invisalign but they do consultations only on Wednesdays and Fridays with the last appointment being at 4pm. Nothing on Saturdays. That's difficulty for someone who works an 8-5 job and cannot get off. Overall, I was unimpressed with this visit and will be debating with coming back.

I'm a huge baby when it comes to getting something done to my teeth. I only have one cavity, and my…read moredental life has been pretty insignificant. I go in for cleanings and come out with a toothbrush. I had spaghetti and cracked my tooth on a red pepper seed ( the shaker kind). I go to my dentist, whom I love (Dr. Erik Fox), and he gives me a root canal. This is the root canal from hell (three sessions), but he handles it, and everything seems to be going well until...I develop a blister on my gum. Dr. Erik sent me to Northern Virginia Oral, Maxillofacial, and Implant Surgery and promised they would take good care of me. He wasn't wrong. Did I mention I'm a crybaby? LOL! During the consultation, I started crying when they told me what was going to happen. Just tears leaking out of my eyes, but they were so kind to me. Dr. Aslam assured me that it was ok. When people had traumatic episodes with dentists when they were younger (I did), they're often really scared. He promised everything would be ok..and it was. I went in, and they let my husband come back with me and hold my hand. After the needle went in for the anesthesia, I remember nothing except going to the spice markets in Marakesh...that's a wild dream, right? But not a bad one. When I woke up, they gave me a care package to take home and helped my husband get me into the car after giving him aftercare instructions. The care package had my first two doses of pain medication, pear-flavored chapstick for my lips, a barf bag (just in case), tons of gauze, and instructions on how to take care of the wound. I was thrilled that they not only got the tooth out but could do the bone graft and implant placement all at once. From the reception area people (Hi Amber!) to Dr Aslam and the nurses, I felt I was in good hands. They were understanding about my anxiety and never belittled it. They LITERALLY held my hand through the experience. I would definitely recommend them.

My Experience With This Practice…read more Dr. Amir was the surgeon who performed my wisdom tooth procedure. I had all four of my wisdom teeth scheduled to be removed at this practice. I paid for all four extractions, and my insurance was also billed for all four. I also paid the required copay for each tooth. I underwent general anesthesia and went through the recovery and pain believing that all four teeth had been removed. After the procedure, I was told by Dr. Amir and the staff that the procedure had been completed. At my follow-up appointment, I was again led to believe that everything had been taken care of. Later, I visited my general dentist, who took X-rays and informed me that one of my wisdom teeth was still present and had not been removed. I returned to the practice and brought this to Dr. Amir's attention. He apologized and asked me to contact the staff regarding a resolution. After contacting the staff, I was reimbursed only the $136 copay associated with the tooth that had not been removed. What makes this even more frustrating is that because of this mishap, I now have to go through another extraction and another round of recovery, pain, and inconvenience--something I should not have had to go through if the procedure had been completed correctly the first time. My concern is that I was charged for a procedure that was not fully performed, my insurance was billed for all four teeth, and I was not informed that one tooth remained until my general dentist discovered it through X-rays. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled, particularly because I underwent general anesthesia and the risks and recovery associated with the procedure based on the understanding that all four teeth were being removed
