My favorite metro station! Its on the Silver Line! I live in Mocoville... and driving to NOVA stresses me out. It gives me migraines and heartburn. No matter what day it is, or time. There's traffic! So much bumper to bumper traffic! However now I can save my wear and tear on my car. Its about an hour ride. Which is fine by me. There's a lot stores and shopping centers nearby besides Tysons Mall. The station is well lit and has pedestrian bridge. Now I can visit my VA friends more ! Only downside is riding metro ain't cheap. Can you believe rush hour ends at 9pm?!!! However its cheap to ride the metro on the weekend. read more

Two lines on the metro travel through here (silver and orange) and line heads in this direction (blue) where you have to transfer to silver or orange at Rosslyn. Great metro station that easily connects to the Tysons Corner Center via overhead bridge. It is clean, well maintained, and easy to navigate. There are both covered and uncovered parts of the platform depending on where you're headed, but it's all outside. read more

Stayed here for 5 nights for business, while it is centrally located with great restaurants and the Metro close by, it lacks a pool, it lacks laundry service(self serve) and if you want a view it's not the greatest, on site restaurant and staff very helpful, it's a bit dated. Self parking 20$ a night. read more

Back when I lived in DC in the early 90's, the Metro didn't go out here so if you wanted a trip to the mall, a car was required. Those days are over because it is so easy to get to Tyson's Corner and this train station is very nice. It's clean and functional and connects via a skybridge to the mall. It may take you 5-10 minutes to walk to the mall but most of the walkway is covered. There are Zipcars in Garage E so I used the Metro to come here and pick up a Zipcar to avoid driving in DC traffic. It was super easy and took me about 38 minutes to get there from Union Station. I'm not too thrilled with WMATA Metro. The trains and system is famous for delays, after once being a gem of American public transportation. Unfortunately that's not the case anymore, but sometimes you have this as your only option. The Tysons Corner Station is right by the mall, and it's on the silver line. This will connect you to the orange, and at other stations more lines. To its credit, this being new is a good thing. It's in better shape than the older stations. There are more chairs, to at least guarantee a somewhat comfortable environment. Also the public address system is better. That can help during changes or up to an emergency situation. Also this line isn't as busy as some of the others. It's a place you'll find useful to avoid driving at least. read more

Connecting to Tyson's town center, on the Silver Line of Washington Metro is this expeditious transit station in Tyson's Corner. Large pedestrian bridge is accessible to arrive and departure from the significantly enormous mall. Roomy with large platform space as this is easily the nicest and cleanest metro station in the DC area with nice views. read more

This is a good option to get to the Tysons Mall (mostly Tysons I) using the Metro system. The station is new and nice and clean and located a short walk from the Mall. In my opinion, having this station has definitely increased foot traffic at the mall, specially the food court. Don't know how that translates to actual shopping dollars for the stores. Its a nice walk over Route 123 from the station to the Mall and drops you off at an open area between the Mall and the Office building/ hotel. read more

This is a terrific metro station with easy access through several walkways a bus stop and a very convenient and safe car drop off spot. It is also located within walking distance of a number of big office buildings and Tysons corner shopping and a huge hotel. It offers coverage for the most part from the elements. The metro attendants are very helpful and quick to resolve any problems with any of the fair card vending machines or information and questions about the system and explaining the schedule on the maps as well. Washington DC area's metro system is by far better than Chicago and New York city the best in the country. It is also the cleanest. Hopefully they will resolve issues with the contractor and get some of the stations that are behind the build schedule up and moving read more

I am glad Metro has gotten the first stage of the silver line up and running. This station is currently still very new feeling and I appreciate they were working with limited spacing in a popular, and growing more popular, area. As a metro station it is A-OK. The times I have been there the weather has been agreeable but I do wonder about the platform is less agreeable weather. I think it is great there is a way to cross over to Tyson's and the Galleria. At this point I have only done the cross over to Tyson's and I don't like it. There is something about the design, when crossing 123 the glass runs down to the base which doesn't sound like a big deal but makes me feel uneasy. It is strange because I am fine with the Springfield crossover, as well as the ones leading from Tyson's to the parking garage. I guess I wish they had taken into consideration folks with edge issues instead of just wanting to be stylistic. I am pretty sure it is not just me because I noticed a lot of others walk down the middle in both directions opposed to favoring their right side. The second crossover that gets you to the mall, or at least the new outdoor area and restaurants, is worse. It is narrower with fence like siding that only extends up about three feet -- I don't even want to think about what this could be like in bad weather. Let's just say that when I get to the platform I am relieved. & before too many of you laugh at me I want to be clear, I fly on planes and have been hot air ballooning and sky diving, and used to live on the 17th floor of a building, I just don't like edges, especially ones with no barrier (crossing from the mall to the parking garage there is about three inches of concrete on the edge and it makes a difference, at least for me). read more

This is one of the new stations on the recently opened Sliver Line. The station serves the Tysons Corner Mall. The station has a walkway to the Mall and has access to the new office buildings and residences next to the mall. I normally access the station from the street level. I have to go up two levels to enter the station and then go back down a level to board the trains. The station is new and bright and shiny; it will be interesting to see for how long. There's nothing new about the trains that pass through. The fare is outrageous ($3.15 during rush hour) for travel between the Tysons area stations. read more

Convenient stop in Tysons Corner. You can easily access the stop by exiting the mall by the upper level near Victoria's Secret and walk through the overpass to the Metro. There are elevators and escalators, and covered benches to protect from the elements. I appreciate how clean this Metro stop is compared to most. read more

I've taken the metro to this station a few times to get to the Tysons Corner Center and to my company's office, which is right by the mall. It's a very nice station, and you can tell immediately that it's newer and cleaner than a lot of the older metro stations in the city. It's a few minutes' walk to the Tysons Corner Center, but the signage in the station and along the pedestrian walkways are very clear and easy to navigate. If you're going to Tysons Corner Center, the walkway leads you to the 2nd level plaza area of the mall, near the Hyatt and a bunch of restaurants. read more

Love this metro stop! I live in Pentagon City, and the addition of the Silver Line makes it MUCH easier for me to get to Tysons Corner. I no longer have to drive there. Although it is a bit pricy for Metro fare, I think it's worth it in the end because I won't have to deal with traffic. I got off at this stop for the first time this past weekend. I love this metro station. I'm so happy it exist! I rode the silver line the day it opened (july 26) which is the same day as my birthday. That day I fell in love with the mall and I randomly got offered a job at one of the stores. I ride the silver line all the time now, because I love going to Tyson corner mall. My most recent visit to the Tyson's Corner Metro Station was with my husband today. We utilized this metro station to get to the Tyson's Corner Center shopping mall which is adjacent-super close to the Tyson's Corner metro station. The Tyson's Corner metro station is easy to get through and even the trains leaving the station arrive on time. My husband was also able to easily make use of the machines to add fare on to both of our metro cards. read more

It's a beautiful and relatively new metro station that is only two years old to this date. Unfortunately there is not a metro parking garage within walking distance. There is however a private lot available for commuter parking that is near the McLean station (not the Tysons Corner station). I am dropping a few stars only because when I used the public restroom, it was not clean and already worn out as though it was 10 years old. It is very disappointing that such a beautiful station could have one of the most disgusting public restrooms available. Give it another year and the restrooms will look like those from a Communist country. read more
