I've passed by Tyler's many times but had never actually gone inside the store. I'm primarily an online shopper, but I noticed that Tyler's carries a wide variety of unique items. While browsing, I found several things I was interested in, but I'm a smart shopper and prefer to purchase items when they're more reasonably priced. I was told that their major sales typically take place toward the end of the year, so I'll definitely keep that in mind. Since I'm only about 10 minutes away from the store, I have no problem returning to purchase the items I was interested in or discovering something new. Today, I was on the hunt for both a top and bottom piece of a bathing suit for my kid! She was specifically looking for bottoms that were NOT bikini and we found plenty of skirt options for her. It just so happened that the bathing suits half-off, score!! The employees were walking around and more than willing to assist, so grabbing a fitting room was quick as was checking out. Such an amazing store. I always believed this was just a tshirt store... and boy was I wrong. This store is perfect! It has every brand you may be looking for in one spot. From vuori, free people, on cloud to sanctuary and many other brands. Love the lay out and the customer service is beyond expectation. Everyone is so friendly and helpful! Have been wanting to visit a Tyler's store for quite a while but never had the time when was in area of other locations. This store has a laid back and very Texas vibe which I like. Tyler's carry's quality merchandise that can get pricey but the prices are competitive compared to other places I shop. The employees were extremely friendly and helpful. The store has a lay out that is a little difficult to navigate at first, but once get it figured out not bad. Unless I just missed it, I was hoping to see a specific Texas section/aisle. This was my first time visiting Tyler's in the University area. It's a large store with a great selection of casual clothing for the whole family, including kids' clothes, plus plenty of shoes and sandals. What really caught my attention was the variety of accessories and gift items, which would be great if you're shopping for a nice present. With that being said the items are on the pricey side but normal since they are name brand. It also seems like a great spot for back-to-school shopping. So glad I visited. I am not typically a shopper, but I stopped by this store. It is bigger than the other Tyler's I've been to and is set up very well. They have a lot of product and some really cool gift items too. I have been needing flip-flops and have ordered online and returned so many pairs to Amazon. I tried on four pairs and found two that fit my feet so well! So thankful to get this marked off my to-do list and for that alone, it was worth the trip! If you're looking for the brands they carry, the value is the same as anywhere else, but there are some sale items as well. The two pairs of flip-flops I purchased were very affordable. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful in every department. Plus the store is actually staffed very well. No shortage of help around so kudos to the managers! read more

We were glad to get the true Tyler's experience while visiting family in Texas. The store offers a huge selection of great brands. The prices are on the higher end, such as over $100 for a set of pajamas. The men's section had a massive amount of sale items compared to the women's little to none. I was disappointed that nearly every men's Vuori item was on sale and none for women's. Would return but be prepared to spend! read more

Have you ever felt so awkward and wanted to experience that same strange feeling again? Yes, then go to this Tyler's location. I don't usually fill out reviews, but felt like I needed to because of how bad their customer service was tonight. My husband and I walked into the store 45 minutes before they closed tonight (a Friday night), with plans of spending a decent amount of money. No one greeted us, even though we walked past at least 8 employees and no one said a word. We had to flag someone down to get us a fitting room too. Finally, after being in the store for about 30 minutes, one sweet young girl offered to take our clothes up to the register, but the rest of the staff was awful. Right when we were about to go to the register 10 minutes before they closed (at 9PM), they turned off the music and locked the front doors. The staff congregated around the front door and proceeded to talk around 8:53 when we were checking out. I won't even say what the cashier's name was because she was the most unenthusiastic employee I've ever seen in my life. I have worked in retail management for the past 15 years and was truly appalled. I get it, it's a Friday night and everyone wants to go home, but the manager that was there tonight should truly be ashamed of himself and how he leads his team. I went into this store to get a pair of shoes. I picked the Pegasus 40s. They had a clearance sign on them for $89. The employee comes out with one shoe, size 9.5. It fit so I want them. The same employee goes to the back to get the other shoe and comes back out and puts it in the box. I go to pay and the shoes ring up $129. But the sticker on the shoe says $89. The manager comes over and says he can only lower the price to $99. I say ok deal. I find it odd that when one of the entry level employees who is standing near the register during this attempt to squeeze 10 extra dollars out of me is told by before mentioned manager to check each shoe that is labeled clearance to make sure it is actually on clearance, says he will do it tomorrow. Tomorrow? I wore the shoes a couple times since I bought them a week ago during the tax free weekend. Now I am back home 1000 miles away and realized that the two shoes are not the same shoe. One shoe is a Pegasus 40 and the other is a Pegasus 39 read more

As a non-native Texan, this Tyler's (Opened just a few weeks ago) is the first and only one I've been to. The selection of t shirts, shoes, swimsuits and outdoor accessories is excellent, with skateboards and other fun finds throughout the store. The prices are high for what you get, but they have unique stuff so it's understandable. During our pop-in today we went to get some shoes for my 13-year old son. That really prompted the review, as the lone customer service person / woman was epically (not a real word, but you get the gist) unhelpful. When asked, "Could you help us?, I was met with a scowl. When I asked, "Can you help us with shoe sizing?", she said "If it's for him (meaning my boy) we don't have a way to size youth shoes"...Strange, since the measuring equipment can measure anyone's foot. With one last gasp I offered, "So you can't help us?"....A blank stare in return, and that was the extent of said interaction. Lame, and unfortunate. I really prefer a positive review as a First Review, but not happening for Tyler's today. I'll be interested to see if the customer service issues are a theme or a one-off, so please chime in as you make a visit to the store. read more

I went here just to come and see what it was and this super nice, good looking man, with huge muscles (I think his name was Conner) came up and immediately found me a pair of swim trunks that fit my style. I've been going to TYLER'S Austin for years with no bad experiences. I was impressed with this location as well. We were greeted by the cashier when we walked in, even though she was pretty busy at the register. Walking throughout the store, almost every employee we encountered asked if we needed any assistance. The prices here are pretty standard, but they always have some good t shirts on sale. Walked out with 2 Patagonia logo shirts for $20 a piece. No complaints here. The Southlake store on the other hand needs a lot of work with their customer service skills. read more

Wow, we were SO excited that Tyler's was opening a Fort Worth location.. But, we have been there three times now and they REALLY need to train there employees on customer service.. Even the manager today had to come over (we were doing an exchange) and he never looked up or even acknowledge us.. They never greeted us when we entered and not once did anyone ask us if we needed any help I realize that there are a bunch of kids working there but, it still a customer service industry and I know the other stores don't operate this way It's VERY disappointing!!! read more

Great new addition to the Westbend plaza. They have a ton of shoes and clothes. If you're going for that surf vibe - they have Roxy, Billabong, Hurley and Vans. They carry a ton of flip flops! We spent 20 minutes checking out all the brands. They have a solid selection of Swell bottles - my favorite! They also have a bunch of Yeti gear if you feel like dropping a ton of cash. At the very least pick up a Tyler's tee shirt. read more

The store itself is really great. The help? Not so much. I went with my mom today and she had to basically scream at a girl to get her attention to open up a dressing room. When checking out, a guy behind the register glazed over us pretending not to see us so he didn't have to check us out. In the shoe section everyone would glance at us with a shoe in hand, then quickly walk away avoiding us. These kids working there REALLY don't want to work. Customer Service really needs to get in there and train/hire new employees. read more

Been to this store a couple times and it's almost impossible to get help. Most recently we were in shoe department. We were only people there besides the two employees carrying on a conversation. After about 5 minutes I had to apologize (sarcastically of course) as I interrupted their conversation. I never do reviews but after my visit this evening I had to. I actually came close to asking for a manager to complain about the customer service. When we walked in an employee was at the table folding shirts right at the door. No greetings or can I help you from her or any of the many employees I walked past the whole time I was there. At checkout the line was long, only one register open with several employees just standing behind the counter. My turn and no hello nor did she even look up at me. After putting the receipt in the bag and pushing it towards me she looks past me to the next customer. I purposely said thank you at her very loudly and she didn't even look at me. I was so mad I would've asked for my money back if my daughter didn't like those shirts so much. I don't expect much from employees in retail but I that's ridiculous. read more

i was really excited to come in for the first time... but i was not met with that same reaction. when i asked the girls at the registers for help, it was as if i was interrupting their conversation and being a burden. now i have never worked retail, but i do not think that is how they should react to a paying customer. i was not greeted at the door and when i sought out help in the shoe section, the young man who was working seemed as if i was bothering him for asking for a size. overall awful experience! would give it 0 stars but i needed to give it at least 1 for this review read more
