I took away so much valuable information and was able to take it to the golf course immediately. The instructors were great. The class size is limited to three people per instructor so we were given a lot of quality teaching time. And it was fun! I'm looking forward to returning next year for a refresher course. If you are looking to improve any part of your game I highly recommend you schedule a lesson with them!

He suggested I move the ball back in my stance a bit and keep my eyes focused on the front of the ball. Wow! That sure worked. I shot 81 at TPC and didn't hit anything fat. What an enjoyable round of golf! We had time to work on the full swing too and what I liked about Russ' approach is that he didn't try to force his swing style on me. He made minor adjustments to my swing that I could easily incorporate. (How many times have you taken a lesson and the pro tries to make you do stuff that you can't do? And you immediately revert to what you were doing and feel you just wasted time and money.) The one hour lesson flew by and I felt I really got my money's worth! You can't beat the $65 senior rate. Thanks Russ for a great lesson.

He made some immediate improvements to my full swing and then worked on my putting and chipping the last 30 minutes or so. I highly, HIGHLY recommend getting a lesson with Russ if you're in the area. So, I played the course 2 times and enjoyed it, but don't think it is a top tier North Myrtle Beach course. There is just too much water, where your misses go, can cost you $40.00 in Pro V1x's if your not paying close attention. There are about 9 holes where water is on one side or the other on tee shots, yet I think there should put the water in front of some greens to really test the players ability and utilize the water for more than just left or right hazards. Green's fees will run you about $50 to $85 for the 141 slope 73.4 course rating, that will give the average player a very good test.

The forecast was for rain because of Hurricane Isaias, category 2. We were fine through the first 9 and then the rains came and delayed us for about an hour. I was ready for a rain check but the rest of the guys wanted to finish up so we could get the points totals for the last round I was fortunate to card two Closest to Pin winners. This is an older course and it feels like it. There are no GPS on the carts. The cart path asphalt is broken and missing for yards in some areas. All the Staff was nice even though it was threat of rain, there were quite a few people playing and the Staff did a great job of managing it. I would recommend this course though. There is not a lot of water but quite a number of fairway bunkers and green side bunkers. It's pretty wide open and I especially liked the short Par 3's. First time I've ever seen a course where #18 is a Par 3 finishing hole.

This is a subpar municipal AT BEST! The west course was heavily waterlogged, fairways were uncut the bunkers had no sand and the animals were feral. Giant black squirrels kept running around the tee box during my shot (I still hit the fairway). Last piece I want to mention is the price. I was led to believe that I could play the course for $5 (YOUTH ON THE COURSE) but they did not honor that and we wanted to add a cart fee to which they said they don't do here. Not sure where my $75 went but was hopefully donated to a better cause than this sorry establishment.
