Plenty of sand traps and plenty of pond's to lose your balls in to!! Golf carts are juiced well. Course is kept up nice. When we went, it was Oct.29 and we had a 1:00 T-time. There was still a three cart line up, so you may want to take this in consideration. Club house was fair. Had your typical refreshment area. Bathrooms for the lady's were lame! Dirty and very out dated. They did have a nice seating area in locker room, but that's it. Can't speak for the men's locker room. Its not bad enough to stay away. We'll probably be back.

Tee boxes were in excellent condition & the fairways wide open & forgiving for the most part. It runs along the Intercoastal Waterway near Cherry Grove so you get some nice views. I highly recommend the course as it will challenge your game but you won't get in too much trouble. The have the GPS on the carts so you get a visual fly-over on every hole.

I started on the tenth hole and the rough was cut so low in front of the green that if you come up short your ball rolls into the water. On number 13 if you hit the right side of the fairway the ball rolls into the marsh... and on the green their is no rough to stop the ball from rolling into the bunker... on 18 the pin was 3 yards from the right side of the green which is a retaining wall that separates the green from the marsh. I played on July 25th and was paired with a very nice father and son from Ohio. The son just graduated HS and wasn't a very good golfer , neither was the father. They quit after 9 holes , they stated they had never played a course like this and they are used to wide open, flat courses in Ohio. Tidewater was way more then they could handle and I estimate they lost a combined 40 balls in nine holes. I dunked a few on the back nine but got it figured out on the front nine. Being a northerner the Bermuda grass always takes me a few holes to get accustomed. The houses are close on sone holes , the Ohio boys tagged a few! I definitely recommend Tidewater if you are a 12 or less handicap, if your higher bring a lot of balls!

We reserved four spots for "open play" on Saturday from 5-7 pm. It costs $15./player and you have…read moreto pay to reserve. There is a cut-off as to how many spots can be reserved, which is good IF enforced. We got there, checked in, and went to the assigned two courts. The two courts were already full with paddles already stacked. There were no indicators as to who actually signed up (and PAID) to play from 5-7 pm on those two courts. We went back to the two very young men in charge of running the front desk to ask him why so many people were there and if these were the ones that had registered and paid to be there. These front desk kids were in over their heads. They admitted they were "swamped" earlier and had failed to put colored wrist bands on players so people would know who belonged where. He went down to talk to the players but waited until the they finished their games to ask their names to check the roster for that time slot. They ignored him and played a couple more times on the courts assigned to us. We had to KEEP getting him to come down there because it was clear that these guys were just doing whatever they wanted, because no one was going to stop them. At this point, we'd been there 45 minutes having played ONE game. The kid put wrist bands on US and us only! What was the purpose of THAT? The interlopers finally moved on after an hour. This would be SUCH an easy fix. Give the same color wrist bands for the 12 or 16 (not sure the exact limit) who paid for that time slot and clearly display that color and time on the two courts allotted for those players. It would be clear who was allowed to be there. It was very stressful to have to fight for the spot you paid for to play. We won't be back unless they fix this.
