This is particularly…read morepersonal to me because my whole family have been members of the YMCA Guy Favreau community since 2000. Good: There is wheelchair assistance available around the facility, from the stairs to the swimming pool. This gym has one of the cleanest pools I've ever been to! There is a strong community vibe here, everyone is welcomed here no matter the age. They have open court badminton and ping pong tables available on weekends so you can just show up and play with others. The lockers are spacious, clean, pretty standard. It even has a jacuzzi and sauna room too! This gym has 3 badminton courts available to be reserved by members of the gym. Bad: some equipment are a bit dated, but it's not the end of the world since I'm not into weight training anyways. Bottom line: if you enjoy playing badminton or are new to the gym scene, this is the least intimidating environment you'll ever be in.

He willingly went under water several times, and refused to get out even with his lips quivering. The Aquadome in Lasalle was amazing. There are slides for kids of all ages, (Liam was obsessed with the one in the baby/toddler area), and a neat umbrella which was his second favourite spot. The room for the party was spacious, yet simple. You can buy bathing suits and floating devices at the front desk and there is also a snack bar with tables and chairs in a separate area away from the pool. We didn't try the food since the party had its own food, but it looked amazing. The family changing area was great- quite a few stalls, several changing tables for little ones and many bathrooms, all of which, were very clean. You can tell the garbages are changed frequently. I was told the separate male only changing room was larger than the family one, but I obviously didn't see the inside of it for myself. The life guards do their jobs well and ensure a safe environment. They have their seats but also stand at different points around the pool so there are several vantage points. We will definitely be going back.

There was lots of parking and this place is open very late as family swim ends at 8:45pm here! However, I think they could do better. The locker room had dirt and hair all over the floor and oddly enough there were no hooks next to the showers (unless you count the moldy benches but I didn't want to place my stuff there) Once we got into the pool, I immediately noticed that the pool floor was slimy and grimy. I've never felt that before and figured it was chlorine maybe? When I got home and googled it .. it turned out to be algae and a sign that the pool is poorly maintained. They have 3 slides, the large main one was broken and the 2 small ones were open. So, I asked the lifeguard if I could put my 3 year old son on it and she said sure just catch him since he can't swim. I went to catch him as he came down the slide and he went so fast it felt like a blow to my chest. You'd think the lifeguard could have warned me how painful it would be to catch a small child off of one of these slides! The complex that this place is in seems interesting. They have a badminton room and indoor rock climbing. I might come here to check out more activities but no more Aquadome for me! Also, I went off hours, pretty late on a weeknight, and the place was still pretty crowded. I can only imagine how hectic it gets on weekends. Way too many people. I saw several employees just walking around (not even lifeguards) and I think they should have been testing the water quality, mopping the floors, and cleaning the pool. Things that clearly needed to be done but weren't.

The venue set up a massive charcuterie table and a seafood buffet, which were delicious! There was also plenty of room to sit and stand. The wedding ceremony and reception were held in a room on the second floor. The room comfortably sat 80 people and the joining room was used as the dance floor. The venue served some of the best food I've ever had at a wedding! The bride and groom at selected a burrata salad and filet mignon for the meal. Everyone's filet mignon was cooked to their liking, which is very rare at a wedding! All the staff at the venue were attentive and helpful. Highly recommend for special events!

I find their weight room can get really busy, which is unfortunate, while the cardio room offered lots of machines to choose from. They do seem very community oriented and the facilities are encouraging/motivating, which is half the battle. The equipment I used was in good shape. Their prices are steep, but I'm looking at a promo rate at the moment which is competitive for what they offer, which is impressive. As far as facilities go: -cardio room w/ exercise mats, -basketball gym, -swimming pool, -weight room, -sauna, -change rooms w/ lockers without locks and showers -a locked space for your wallet/keys -lots of community events and exercise classes -cafe and store I've probably been a handful of times now. This past week-end was my first time back in a year and they offered me a free five times to test out the facilities, which I'll likely not use because Ill be signing up for their current promotion, which is a great deal but expires on Mar. 31.

I don't know the necessary criteria for rating gyms so I will use four criteria. 1. cleanliness 2. facilities 3. ambience 4. Staff. 1 - Cleanliness - For an older facility there is the wear and tear you would expect, older floors, and the outside looks very dated. I personally enjoy the flaws and the character. The showers are very clean, the locker rooms have floor mats, and you can tell the staff takes real pride in this place. 2 - Facilities - This place is not the biggest, however they do have everything you would need. A cardio room with enough machines there is barely ever a wait, a large weight room with free weights and machines to satisfy ever muscle you can think of. There is a 3 lane 16 meter pool (don't quote me on the length), the change area for the pool also clean. 2 Saunas and extra showers as well. There's a full basketball court that doubles for badminton (cool thing there is a CD player for the stereo to play jams while shooting hoops). 3 - Ambiance - For me this was very important. As a chubby dude most gyms are intimidating. Everything Is white, silver, with bright lights. The people are usually more competitive than friendly. This place is the exact opposite, warm wood staircases, nice older lighting, friendly people (while signing up 3 non staffers said hello). 4 - Staff - The staff is excellent, not just friendly and helpful, but you can tell they truly love what they do. John helped me with the sign up and was an absolute star, joke cracking, friendly, and down to earth. He was especially proud of the sign he had built and hung over the entry way, the sign reads "Here there are no strangers, only friends we haven't met yet" and he was very proud of it, and swore by it. It was great. Overall this place is great, it's not for people who want to work out with headphones on and spend the time looking at themselves in the mirror. This place is perfect for people who want to be proactive in a community and enjoy their surroundings while having fun.
