With only 30 and a half stalls (the half is a small cozy stall perfect for a miniature horse) available for long and short term boarding, we get to know all of the horses and their owners well. Willow Run Stables is a supportive community filled with good-hearted folks who love their horses beyond all reasonable measure. You’ll find a warm welcome here and a staff committed to taking excellent care of your four-legged friend(s). While we are a longterm boarding facility for 20 horses, we maintain an 8-stall barn for multi-use short term stays. We have also have a small 2-stall harmony hut that is available for nightly rental when we aren’t using it to quarantine a new incoming member of our longterm community. Stalls are cleaned well and amplely bedded daily and I have never found Winston's water bucket dirty. They feed quality hay and the pastures are large and lush. They look after each horse's need as an individual and the barn, indoor arena, round pen as well as the grounds and pastures are kept neat and clean. I will never move my horse again, we are HOME!!!

What sets Old Stone apart is the emphasis on learning all aspects of caring for and working with horses, which we deeply value as parents. The community is incredible. The trainers, students, and boarders are all welcoming, supportive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. It feels like a family, not just a riding center. Dog boarding: -Our dogs were not crated together, as…read morerequested. -Only about half of their food was used- this tells us that either they were too petrified to eat, weren't fed the correct food, or weren't fed the correct amount as requested in their paperwork. -Most alarmingly, one of our dog's elbows are covered in swollen wounds. We had to take him to the vet straight from pickup and they could not believe the side of his wounds. When asking the owner about the wound, the response we received was "well that happens, the good news is that it isn't deep" She later told us that she hadn't seen it because he was scared and barking at her, but he has white fur and his bleeding elbows were very apparent. -Both dogs were absolutely caked in dirt when we came to pick them up and were surrounded by fleas. We had to take them straight to the vet for their medication and hose them off, giving them a bath before bringing them into our house. -We also requested that the dogs have beds placed in their crates when dropped them off. When we came to pick them up there were no beds, only a wet concrete floor which could have contributed to our dog's bloody elbows. -We had to take our dog to urgent card two days later because he developed an infection and fever from the wounds he obtained at this facility. Our dogs were not given the basic care that all animals deserve. All of these complaints were shared directly with the owner. We were given half-hearted excuses for all of these. We didn't even get a response until our credit card company reached out for a refund. We were only given half of our money back and our messages continue to be ignored.

By then, Brian and his family had opened Creek Hill. It was a little further away than the other facility, but it was less for full board and most of my drive was highway. Long story short, I moved her there and both of us couldn't be happier. The barn may not have the bells and whistles of other farms, but the level of care is exceptional! My OTTB is calm, comfortable, and has never looked better. Tons of turn out weather permitting. Quality care at an affordable price is hard to come by, but this farm has both! Highly recommend!

I purchased an OTTB from Win Row Farm and had a prepurchase exam done, except for x-rays, as I was…read moreassured by Amy that the horse was returned from the track (being told that this was one they had initially bred) only due to the fact that it was too slow and not interested in being a racehorse. The then-owner brought it back to Amy hoping it could have a second career as a hunter. The gelding passed the vet exam, bloodwork and flexion test, so I purchased him. I live out of state and had him shipped to me. The horse has had lameness issues shortly after purchasing. I've had him now for several years, had him on glucosamine/hoof care supplements for several years, glucosamine injections monthly now and now powdered bute. He's been x-rayed and found to have bone chips. I've tried to contact Amy by phone leaving a voice mail several times and texting her, and also emailing to see if there had been any previous x-rays performed being requested for review by my vet. NO RESPONSE!!! I then tried contacting her husband, Chris, by several methods. Again, NO RESPONSE!!!! This shows me they are not responsible horse sellers! I definitely do not recommend them.
