Don't bother wasting your time. My daughter did some research on the black goalie blades and was excited to try them. So I made two hour drive and picked them up. After spending a couple hundred bucks, l left the store with a pair of blades that were sharpened, but not profiled as they didn't have time. On the way home I stopped at a major hockey retailer and had them profiled, as they use the same pro sharp machine and profiles that they offered. Later that evening and just prior to hitting the ice, we ended up having an unrelated skate failure. Long story short we ended up with new skates one size bigger, which meant the blades did not fit. I placed a call the next day and explained the situation. I was told that even though the blades have never been used they would not allow for an exchange, as I did not have them do the profile. This again is despite the fact the major hockey retailer uses the same pro sharp machine and offers the same profiles as they do. I consider myself a reasonable person and I understand the blades would not be returned in "as sold condition"as per the policy. However, in this situation you would think some kind of consideration or resolution could be met. The only thing the company offered was a reluctant 10% discount on a new pair. I can't talk about the quality of these blades and I never will. I can talk about the excitement and then disappointment my daughter felt about getting them. Enjoy the profits on that couple hundred bucks, because hockey is a big community and parents/players talk about their experiences with gear. read more
