I'm a big fan of astronomy and the Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe is an interesting character for me, so this museum in Ven was a must visit for me.
However, I feel like the museum was inadequate. The actual museum was the converted church, filled with his tools and explanations on how he investigated the sky and measured the heavenly bodies and pulled his theory. The rest of the ground was his former estate and we also visited this (TINY) underground observatory that was super tiny that you could only fit 10+ people in.
I guess it's not their fault that they have only "THOSE" to exhibit, it was just my expectation that it would be so much more, but if you're ever in Ven, this place is a must visit. It is located in the "town", and it takes a lot of effort to bike up here (the highest point of the island) LOL but you can't really miss it on your visit to Ven, can you? read more
