Only reason why I didn't rate a 5/5 was because of dealing with Phil. He called out the shoddy paint job that was on there before. He claimed that he had attention to detail and that's what mattered; to not worry about it and that they would do better. So come around the time the job was done, they forgot to put a stain blocker on a stain they were painting over and his excuse was that no one is perfect and that they did their best. Definitely not someone that should be working there and making such statements, especially when customers are seeking perfection if not close to it when it comes to painting and repairs. If it wasn't for Brant, I definitely would of gone crazy. He worked with me and was understanding to the whole situation. He even took time off his own weekend to check up on the job. They sent two guys that were respectful and wanted to work, but needed direction and supervision. They used a lot of my tools as they were not prepared to take on this job. I was in contact nearly every day with Kelly and her partner as I tried to work with them. I could go on and on about their excuses. Subs were asking if I was paying Kelly, because they were not getting paid. After about three weeks (into a ten day job) I had to ask them to leave with the job half done. (less than half once the new contractor had to redo some of their work) At that point Kelly demanded full payment. I believe Kelly and her partner know very little about renovations. They bid the job, order materials and hope their subcontractors can make it work. I will add that I had worked in construction when I was younger, so i am familiar with what was needed I had a bad feeling about Kelly the first time we met, she really didn't seems to understand the work process or construction in general. Hired this contractor to install a new wood floor downstairs due to a…read moreleak from a pipe that ruined the prior floor. During the installation of the new floor another pipe busted causing water damage. The contractor only ripped up a portion of the new floor for replacement. Two new contractors have run moisture tests showing moisture underneath the floor that was not ripped up. Both contractors agree that moisture has moved throughout the downstairs causing the damage. The contractor for Luxury Wood and Stairs also stated the sealant used was not high traffic sealant causing further damage. The new floor appeared well done. Over the next two years multiple boards became uneven and separated from other boards. I contacted Frank, who I believe is the owner of the company, nothing short of 15 times. He always forwarded me to his floor manager Mo. Mo never returned my texts and calls to discuss what appeared to be faulty workmanship. Finally after roughly 30 months Mo and Frank evaluated the floor. They agreed to repair the floor but asked we give them a few weeks to get it on the schedule. Frank sent a long email outlining what they planned on doing. This is the last I have heard from Frank. Clearly we should not be having issues with a floor that is 2 to 3 years old. I strongly suggest you do not use this company.

Communication has become nearly nonexistent, and what was delivered has been a disaster. And now, multiple licensed contractors are quoting over $60,000 just to finish what's left. The contract clearly stated that brick would be used on the exterior -- Nisan later tried to deny this despite it being in writing as an "honest mistake". I've now had multiple systems professionally inspected, and the findings are alarming: * Plumbing and HVAC are not up to code * It appears the work was done by an unlicensed handyman * Multiple violations that must now be redone, delaying occupancy and adding thousands in extra costs * never validated the licenses under the permit and kept lying to me for months that everything is on track. I had to go to the city to find out. Because of this company's dishonest, greedy and negligent practices, I've been forced to take legal action.
