To start things off, i think Scott can do a fine job planning your trip. biggest issue was customer service and his communication and behavior when facing minor adversity. first phone call he says he will make an attempt to hit all the marks we want for our trip. he says this can go back and forth a couple times as we narrow things down to get perfect for the client (me). during this call i had mentioned i have a connection with someone in the hotel industry and Scott's words "if you can find a good deal for a room then id say use them" next day or so later Scott sends an itinerary. overall it was great but we wanted to change 2 of the hotels to stay in. I preemptively booked 2 places because there was limited availability. this costed nothing and can be canceled for free. it was just a safety net. i get back to Scott saying we want to change 2 of the lodging locations and i booked something (thinking im being helpful). its like he immediately took this personal and decided to drop us as a client. we are too "high risk", and no further explanation i repeatedly asked what the issue is and how can i resolve this. offered to cancel the 2 rooms i had booked, WHICH WOULD SOLVE THE ENTIRE ISSUE. and he still refused to work with me. honestly so bizarre, i was kinda looking forward to him planning this trip.... maybe monday mornings are just not a good time to communicate for him i really don't understand why we couldn't just move forward with me cancelling the rooms. Scott acted like a child. 1 star for no communitcation skills and inability to resolve MINOR conflict. on his website and in the notes of the itinerary he sent.... I found Scott on Craiglist. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical of the good deals that he was advertising. Nevertheless, I proceeded. From the begining to the end, Scott was nothing but helfpul, professional and patient! He helped me booked a Hawaii trip for my family of 11 people. Got us a great deal from Delta (including 3-day free car rental). Two days later, Hawaii airfares went up by almost $100 per ticket! I was sooooo grapeful to have booked our tickets then. I never used to use a travel agent before Scott was recommended to me, and I travel quite often. When planning my own trips, I often found myself stranded when airlines would change non-refundable tickets or hotels had lost my reservations. Now, because I go through Two Scots Travel, I always have someone on my side who stops at no end to make sure all glitches are fixed with no stress to me. A couple years ago, I took my very first trip out of the country. He broke down step by step everything I needed to do in advance to make sure when trip time came around I hadn't missed anything. I had a delayed flight in Vegas one trip that he managed to warn me of in enough time that I was able to distract myself somewhere other than a crowded boring airport. I have been using Two Scots Travel for several years now. I have gone to Scott every time I travel. If I am just going to go see relatives in other states, I call him to book my flights because I know he is going to do everything he can to get me the best rates for my budget. Two years ago we booked a Princess cruise with the help of Scott. My parents, sisters and our husbands. Because we had to fly and take a bus to our port, Scott took care of everything down to the last detail. Our documents were arranged so that we could access them easily. We were given the utmost respect and instructions on Cruise traveling, since none of had gone before. My parents received chocolate covered strawberries from Scott. We had a wonderful time. Recently, I booked a cruise for my son and his new wife. I was thankful to learn of the many options I had available for my budget.. I was able to send them on a wonderful cruise. Due to a storm the cruise was put on hold for two days and my son and his wife became stranded in New Orleans. They called Scott who quickly arranged a hotel for them. Was constantly in communication with the ship and the kids and myself until they departed on their way. He also made sure they received the compensation they were due for missing those two days. I started off late planning a Hawaiian vacation for my family of 5. At first I went through all of the usual websites Pleasant Hawaiian, Priceline, Expedia and Travelocity. I ended up finding Scott through a post on Craigslist. After calling and talking with him he was definitely very helpful with a lot of good information, but I wasn't comfortable enough yet to take the chance of handing over so much money to someone I didn't know without some references. With a family of 5, prices were a really big factor in making a final decision. His prices were anywhere from 45% to 65% lower than what I was finding on line which just made things all the more tempting. After some digging I really didn't find many reviews about him or his company on line. What made me feel more confident was finding reviews of him on Ebay. Again, not a lot of reviews but there was a history going back a few years. Something to note, I did book my plane tickets about 2 weeks before we were scheduled to leave so I can't really comment on what prices might be like if you were to plan a few months in advance. I know a few people that got great discounts through Pleasant Hawaiian with late purchases very recently and I was looking for the same. Still Scott was able to beat these prices. I did some research on him prior to contacting him, and afterwards called him to take advantage of the deal. We had a great time in Hawaii. We arrived to a lei greeting and our rental car was small but cute and only cost $15.00 to fill up when we returned it. We circled the island and only used 3/4 of a tank. I am sooo happy.
