She was very friendly, excited to talk about the wines with us, and gave us recommendations for food spots to try when we were staying in Mendicino. They have bocce courts and some seating in the front, more seating and a small bar inside the cozy tasting room, and tables and a pizza oven on their back patio. My personal favorite is the Anderson Valley Brut. It has a dry, crisp sharp oak-aged taste. The taste comes from the magic of the Anderson Valley. It is a long narrow valley that funnels in the cold fog from the ocean which drops the temperature and slows the ripening of the grapes. It's hard to beat this stuff!
