On our way from Alberta to Glacier NP we randomly stopped here to satisfy outlet calls of hunger. Packed parking lot on a Tuesday was a good sign, and lots of Montana license plates. Pretty damn good. We ordered the chili (great!), Brussels sprouts (excellent!), and the bison burger (good!). For desert we got the huckleberry mountain, and that was fantastic- it is over a hot brownie. We had several drinks and the standout was the huckleberry frozen margarita. Had great meal here after a long all day horse back ride in Glacier NP. Cute, kinda eclectic place, busy with a mix of locals and tourists. I had the Bison sirloin with huckleberry compote, delicious garlicky green beans and mashed potatoes plus a yeasty roll. The steak was well prepared; ordered medium rare and delivered medium rare, which is always a plus. It was a huge meal and really good but unfortunately left no room for dessert. Nothing too special here. The staff was very kind and friendly but the food was average at best. The burger had a weird taste in random spots and it was obviously just your standard freezer patty. My daughter had Mac and cheese which she did not eat because it was very unflavored kraft box Mac and topped with unmelted shredded cheese. The fries are thin and greasy, but they appeared to be freshly cut. The inside is bright and fun, and also clean. A big plus for me. read more

People line up outside for a reason. When you are one a few restaurants in town and people don't have much choice some would skimp on service and quality. So not the case here. Great fried chicken, The best burger my husband's had in a long time. The bread pudding and huckleberry pie were amazing. Only problem was the food was so good we over indulged. This place is perfect for the weary hiker! Great food and a relaxed atmosphere. We came back for seconds when our fancy hotel inside the park served powdered scrambled eggs at breakfast. Ew. The prices at Two Sisters is very reasonable, and the food is great. We had a fried cheese curd appetizer two days in a row, a very juicy bison burger two days in a row, wings one day and chicken nachos the next. The huckleberry margarita is also great! If I could select less than one for Two Sisters Cafe I would. We made a reservation for 6:30pm, party of 6. Arrived at 6:25pm and they had out table ready. We order drinks, they bring out drinks and we order dinner at approx 6:45pm. At 7:30pm after not receiving our food yet - we asked our waiter to check on our order, he comes back and tells us two more orders are before ours. 20 min later still no food. We go to the 'cashier/Jo/owner' and tell him that we would like to pay for our drinks and we aren't willing to wait longer for our food. The 'hostess' chimes in that we arrived 15 min late to which I replied that we arrived at on time at 6:30pm. Cashier/Jo/Owner steps out from the counter and tells me to SHUT UP - we all walk out and he screams at us ' Get out of my f'n restaurant you pieces of shit! Good idea not to allow 'weapons' (as posted on the front door). Who knows what would happen! We've traveled all over the world and have never quite experienced anything like this 'owner'!!! read more

The food here was a nice surprise. Ordered nachos, bison patty done red burger style, huckleberry Italian sodas, etc. everything was awesome! All was made with fresh ingredients. Hubby said it was one of the best burgers he's had! Only thing negative is bathrooms are located outside. read more

i had 2 meals in babb/glacier area and i will say that this was twice the price of my other meal. the portions are big but i can't agree with the price on the menu. the hospitality was great undeniably! one of the warmest welcomes into a restaurant which i can really appreciate. however, the food was only so-so. portion was bigger than norm and it felt like it was a home cooked meal, but it doesn't justify the price for me :/ don't let me deter you from visiting, just giving you a heads-up for what to expect. read more

The Pro's-cute place inside and out. GREAT Huckleberry pie and the bison steak and trout specials were really good. So, if you just go for the food-you will be a happy camper. The Con's-the most dismissive waiter I've ever experienced and I'm not a spring chicken! We were told that the signature Twisted Sista adult beverage was made from vodka, rum and mango lemonade. Ahem! What a total waste of almost $9 each!! If there was alcohol in there it was a thimbleful and it was regular lemonade. Three other people at our table had "mango" lemonade and they concurred it was regular "just lemonade". When we asked our server-he got huffy and said, " I made those drinks myself with vodka and triple sec!" We didn't bring up the fact it was supposed to be rum because he had puffed out like we had slapped his mama! We did tell him that five out of the five people at the table did not taste mango at all and he said he would "go check". Well, his idea of "going to check" was to get our check and literally slap it down on the table without a word to us! The food is pretty good but damn, the attitudes some of the servers and the manager have. Basically if they're not going to make $20 per person at your table they treat you like crap and spray you with split plate charges for every item you order. Just because I want to order an appetizer and dessert to split doesn't mean I don't plan to tip generously for the server's time, but when they get an attitude and then charge for two split plates when you ordered two appetizers for two people, that's over the line. Before we got there we hit the Twin Sisters Cafe, Advertised as "near Babb" which was on the Sunday itinerary. Hard right into the parking lot and we were there. Roadside Cafe decor on steroids: license plates from all over, bumper stickers, photos of important people eating there but backed up by some pretty solid food. The Huckleberry tea was wonderful. Would give zero stars if possible! I went with my family while we were staying in St. Mary. It was recommended to us by our hotel. We got there, and the first thing the lady said was: "We'll never fit your family in here, we won't even try." We said that we were patient and willing to sit separate, for we knew we had a big group. She continued to be rude to us like I've never experienced before. When we asked for a recommendation of another restaurant she said "I don't give recommendations. But no restaurant up here is gonna want to take you." Stopped in with our family after going on a lake tour. We were glad to find a place close to the hotel to eat. I think this restaurant knows they can do what they want and ask whatever you want for expensive prices since there are not many restaurants to choose from. The waiter was very rude and we felt like they were not at all appreciative of our business. From the "one refill of soda, split plate charge $7.95) on an already overpriced meal, then right under that on the menu says "No Crybabies!" $10 piece of pie, I asked to substitute regular fries for sweet potato fries and he said it was not allowed. He said I could get a $10 side order that was on the appetizer menu. Everything was a "take it or leave it attitude." The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because the quesadilla with bbq chicken was good and our food came out quickly. My husband and I had finished an amazing 12 mile hike in Glacier NP. We went to Two Sisters for a post hike meal. Although it is basically a shack with outdoor bathrooms, they made it "eclectic" with a mis-shapen USA map with license plates inside the x-mas light map border and other decor. Our server was nice enough and attentive to us. The food was good for the area as there are limited choices & as a vegetarian I was happy to have options (plenty of other options elsewhere). The food was grossly overpriced (it's not like we were in a fine dining establishment... ~$19 for mushroom ragout (very small plate). We went to pay our bill after no excitement, just a calm meal, and asked the guy for a copy of the handwritten bill. He asked why, we told him, but it was really none of his business. This being said, he knew we wanted that copy and said "sure after you've paid..." the credit card was already out on the table/counter to pay. After we tipped and paid he handed us the wrong receipt. We nicely reminded him that it was the handwritten. He arrogantly said "well you can't have it, it's my copy and for my records." We stated that he agreed and then he refused and was quite rude to me. My husband and I just decided to leave. As we left, we mumbled that we would not be coming back as he was rude and walked to our car (less then 10 feet away in front of the entry). The owner/proprieter who was about 7-8 inches taller then my husband and about 150lbs heavier came out and yelled expletives (over a paper receipt) and towered over my husband and physically & verbally threatened him. What a bully and what an over reaction. I wish I had read the terrible reviews/1 star on trip advisor before we went there. We have never been treated that way, i mean, who threatens someone over asking for a hand written receipt? The diner down the street gave it to us 2 times as did another cafe we went to in the Babb/St.Mary's area. Other places who didn't just nicely said they couldn't and that was that, they did not chase us out after we paid with a smile on our face and verbally and physically threaten their customers. What a piece of work. We already thought the prices were ridiculously inflated (we pay similar or less in NYC and SF... After coming home and reading some of the terrible reviews about his behavior, it is clear to me that this man-bully has some sort of mental disorder (i'm in the health field with and have had training in this area and he seriously flipped a switch.) I am so glad we didn't take his bait and fight him. He told us to get off his property, I responded "Obviously we came to our car to leave." Being in nowhere land america, who knows if he had a gun... with his verbal threats and sheer aggression, we did not care to find out. This was by far the worst customer service I have ever received in any setting. The staff was incredibly belittling. Big John told us to "get the f*ck out of his restaurant." They made the only person that wasn't eating in our 10 person party put her bag of carrots away because it wasn't food purchased at their restaurant. The owner is a jerk. I work at Glacier National Park and chose Two Sisters to celebrate my birthday with friends because I heard their margaritas and nachos were good. He gave us attitude from the moment we walked in, snapping sarcastic comments. We were an incomplete party and told him (I'm a server too; I know it can be annoying), but he chose to seat us. A wave of people came briefly to drop off gifts but the rest of our table didn't arrive for 20 minutes or so; the other servers said not to worry because it gave our waiter the chance to catch up. We all ordered drinks (some several rounds) and three of us ate something. I had one and a half margaritas and some already-cold nachos with hard cheese, and started to feel really sick. I stepped out for a few minutes and was flushed and sweaty when I got back to the table. I have a gluten allergy and it felt like I was having a reaction (and did end up sick until 3am). Some folks in my group decided to take me home and asked for our portion of the check as we were leaving. That's when the owner got really nasty. I didn't hear all of his rant personally because I stepped outside for fresh air, but he was yelling even before I left, being really sarcastic and biting. He told my friend we must have some audacity to take up his table and not all order food, then demand a split check because their friend (me) drank too much and got sick. He yelled for a few minutes as he put together the check, then told her if she thought he was being out of line, she could tell him to "F*ck off." She said that wouldn't be necessary and told him to have a blessed day. The server was great; we tipped him well. But we will never give money to that establishment again. I've been a server for 8 years, and I understand being frustrated that we would sit at a table and not spend a lot of money (although two drinks is almost $20!), but that's not a requirement for going into a restaurant. You are allowed to sit at a table, and order whatever you like- just be nice people and take care of your server. Maybe next time you'll return and order more. And we weren't there for an obscene amount of time. And he's been really rude to other folks here- like telling another employee her parents must have been on crack when they named her. I guess if you're into abuse and want that experience while you're traveling, go for it! But I'd recommend somewhere, really anywhere, else. read more

If possible I would give the proprietor of the Two Sisters Restaurant in Babb, MT a "0" stars for his foul behavior yesterday. Our party of five arrived in the late afternoon to dine based on the positive experience 3 of the 5 had previously. Much to our great embarrassment we committed an error while waiting to be seated. Rather than address our error (which we would have apologized for immediately and made amends for) in a professional and customer-focused manner the male proprietor of Two Sisters berated us in front of other customers in a demeaning and condescending manner. I can definitely state I will spread the word about his behavior far and wide in hopes of sparing others this man's tirades. Gentlemen( hard pressed to call him that) behind the counter was extremely rude to everyone. Maybe he is tired of tourists because his attitude sucks. 4 people walked out after listening to him rant at a oriental family who were inquiring about their wait time. So, I ordered a peice of their "famous huckleberry pie." DISAPPOINTED. It was so thick with cornstarch or tapioca, the berries were like glue. I have had better frozen pies. This is a great restaurant with a solid drink selection and a cool atmosphere. Obviously a place where anyone can go and feel welcome (they're probably one of very few Montana establishments outside Missoula that proudly fly the gay pride flag), and they fix really yummy burgers and fries. Everything I've eaten here has been delicious. The only drawback is that our waiter seemed kinda curt and in a bad mood. There's not many choices in this part of Glacier but after looking on yelp we drove a few miles to Two Sisters. The purple building! Don't be turned off when they hand you the menus or tell you to "follow the yellow brick road outside to the restroom" ..lol this place has a great sense of humor. Food was decent considering the options you have in the area. However, it was overpriced for what you are getting. While the food is passable, the service itself was an outright joke. Our waiter had a weird presence the entire time, we overlooked it and ordered separately( a group of four separate friends) and we received everything on one bill. We asked him to split the check and he got ANGRY, and THREW the calculator on the counter and exclaimed that we could do it ourselves and walked away. We stood there awkwardly, calculated our own costs and waited for his returned. When he returned, he proceeded to ring us up with what we told him and based off of his current attitude three members decided not to tip. The fourth however tipped, because of habit and in an attempt to be nice. After we left, he followed us out of the restaurant (creepy) and demanded to know how the service was. Another member said fine and the server then yelled at the member that DID tip him because it wasn't high enough. The first thing I would say is GO SLOW leaving St. Mary because if you drive the Montana speed limit of 75 MPH this place is about ninety seconds north of town -and seemingly nowhere near Babb. In the literal middle of nowhere I always fear a processed chicken-like food product when I order a chicken sandwich but at TSNB (figure that one out when you get there), the sandwich contained an honest to God easily identifiable and juicy/yummy chicken breast. The staff is so accomodating that they even put bacon and cheese on my husband's barbecue pork sandwich without falling over in a dead faint. Don't worry when they tell you that the rest room is "out the front door, turn right and turn right". Just think of it as a chance to view more license plate art before enjoying the indoor-plumbed and fully functional WC. read more
