The nice thing about this campground is that it's remote and very far from interstate noise. It is dark at night to allow good stargazing. We saw the Milky Way through 7X binoculars and heard a huge pack of coyotes howling not far away. Tricky roads: The road is just wide enough for a camper and an almost 180° turn coming from the Worthville direction. I had to back up onto the main road to get a wider swing with our 40' Solitude so the tires wouldn't drop off the side. There is no sign at the main road to let you know there is a campground on the one lane road you're taking your huge camper down with possibility there may not be place to turn around if not. Couldn't verify with a satellite image as there was no cell service. Luckily someone came by and we asked and found out it really was back there. Then the one lane bridge is barely wide enough for a camper. May have had about 4" on each side of our Solitude to the guard rails. Then another sharp turn just before the campground. Sewage: The full hook-up at our site was horrible. I don't know if the plumbing didn't have enough fall or just backed up. Luckily I dumped our gray water a few days in, noticed it stop draining and backing up the hose so I dumped the night before so it could settle and not have to wait when trying to leave. Although when I did unhook when leaving, the sewer did back up into our site causing a very unhealthy and unsanitary condition as there was no plug to cap off the sewer. I noticed at a site nearby that the hookup there was broken off. Trash: There is no trash pickup at the sites. When I asked I was told there were dumpsters back in the resident area but there was a gate operated by a code or pass that we didn't have and we could drive it back there. They would let us in but this seemed ridiculous to me. I asked if we left and the office wasn't open to let us in we'd have to leave it at the site and she said "well then I guess we'd have to pick it up". Residents: There are people living here so if that bothers you, now you know. Golf car traffic: Golf carts are running almost non-stop here so your vehicle will be covered in dust by the time you leave. Bring something to at least wash your windows prior to leaving. Difficulty factor increased navigating tricky roads with low visibility through dust. Many of the golf cart drivers have the steering wheel in one hand and a beer in the other even while taking their kids trick or treating through the campground in October. Poor management: It appears that management changes often here. Not sure if it keeps getting sold or just managers changing. All of the above except the roads themselves could be solved if the manager of the facility would want to make it better. We won't go back though regardless.

What a disappointment! Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. I asked ChatGPT for a safe,…read moreclean RV park near The Ark Encounter, it came highly recommended (so much for "intelligence"). I booked online. It's unfortunate that the ride in looks like meth lab row, but you can't help who your neighbors are. When we got there in the early afternoon, the office was closed. We reluctantly drove through and immediately left. They can keep our money and use it for some clean up. There were about 4 run down campers that looked like permanent residents. It was dirty, unkept and felt unsafe. There was a random car parked in our assigned spot even though there were plenty of empty spots to park. I don't know how this place made it to the top of nearly every list I looked at. We landed a few miles away at Whispering Hills RV Park. It was beautiful, clean, very family-friendly and cost nearly the same as Three Springs.

The owner was always very responsive whenever we reached out. It was December so we needed an extra space heater and they quickly brought one over. The bathrooms/bathhouse is always clean & warm. We got a couple bundles of firewood and Billy was so kind to drive them over for us as our vehicle was loaded full. We left our headlights on and needed a jump before we left and he and his lovely wife were kind to help us with that, too! The cabins always have a picnic table and firepit outside and Granna's even had a water spigot outside. Next time we'd like to explore the hiking trails of this pretty campground in spring or summer. We look forward to coming back again!

There are plenty of places around the park to just sit and enjoy a book. Some sites offer fires, but ours didn't. There are two laundry locations, but they only have a few washers and dryers. That's not enough when the park has 230 sites. Expect to wait for one to open. You do have a picnic table, but it's time to repair them. They did add in their flyer to call if you have an issue with your picnic table. You mow and clean up your site after someone stays, so you should already see any table issues. When I get to a site I've already spent many hours driving and don't want to call with any issues. I want to set up, relax, and enjoy the amenities. The property is very clean and well managed. They have an employee take you to your site and assist you in pulling in. We would definitely stay here again!!

One of the better bark parks of all the campsites we've visited - separate area for small and large dogs. There is some noise from the nearby interstate. And the newly opened shooting range starts popping around 08:00 am. Other than that it would depend on which site you're at. The only things we did not enjoy - MANY late arrivals every single night made for a lot of noise late in the evening. The park needs to place more signs for the 10 mph speed limit AND enforce it. There were too many cars rolling way too fast in the park. There are kids, people!! If I wasn't paying attention to one driver, she would have hit me - driving too fast and on her phone. Not the sites fault but a lot of rude campers - starting their big diesel rigs in the early morning and late night (not sure why, they didn't move anywhere). People walking through our site. And the morning before I left, the dude in the next campsite was sitting at our picnic table talking on his mobile when I walked out my door. And he didn't even acknowledge me
