The pool is large, like humongous! I think it was just redone this earlier this year.

The RV lots are a little close together, but it was doable. They had trees for shade, almost couldn't roll out our awning. With some strategic parking we prevailed though. They had a lower camping area about a mile away from the entrance, more toward the Ohio River. We stayed at the upper camping area, it was near a small pond that you could do catch and release fishing from without a license. Be careful though, it's slippery, I ended up taking my mom to the emergency room for a ankle fracture and dislocation. Thankfully she was just visiting and we don't live far. They also have a new, very large pool, it goes to 12'. There is a nice concession stand on site.

Fresh gravel put in. Started in the spring after a harsh winter

Camp ground is located in a nice community. The campground would have special events throughout the summer months for campers with families. Enjoyed my time there while I worked out of the area. Probably the roomiest campground I've stayed in for my line of work. Would be if there was more shade during the summer time for the campers but overall I was satisfied with my stay. People are very friendly. Great staff

    MUD and ruts.

We recently stayed here through the winter. Not many places are open year round. This one is. Your electric and water are included in your monthly price. They get very festive with their decorations during Christmas. The front store is cute and quaint. The staff was pleasant but not on top of things. My husband told them about an electric problem 5 or 6 times. We were there for three months and the problem was never fixed. Our other problems are the pot holes and MUD. The dirt roads and RV spots need to be gravel or paved. It would also help to put in drains. We saw them grate the roadways once while we were there which seemed to help for a day. When it rains however the problem is bad. MUD hole after MUD hole which will freeze into muddy ice rinks. I was very irritated with getting my shoes muddy getting in my car to go to work. Our little yard was so squishy. They are located in a country almost rural location. The biggest town close to them is Aurora, Indiana.

The check-in process was painless and efficient and the park is clean and well-kept. The river is spectacular.

I almost didn't want to write this review ... because this truly is a hidden gem and I don't want…read moreit to get too crowded! But, I think I've kept this awesome Burlington trail a secret for long enough. Let me start by saying that there is a park area with a playground and covered shelter and grill that looks nice and clean! On our most recent visit, there was a big cookout going on, and all of the parking spaces in the small lot were full. Don't be concerned if that's the case when you arrive ... there's plenty of street parking available in the surrounding neighborhood. And - even if the play area is full of people, we've never seen another person on the actual trail beneath the park. This trail is not for hiking amateurs. You can except a VERY steep climb back uphill at the end of your visit. There is a side path that's a little less steep - but it's very rocky with lots of switchbacks. I definitely recommend this trail for more experienced hikers. If you are a beginner and still want to check it out, just be sure you know what you're getting into. It's definitely worth the climb! My husband and I often bring our dogs for a quick spin around this trail, on both weekday and weekend mornings. When you get down to the actual river, there's plenty of wildlife to check out. Most recently, we enjoyed the blooming Honeysuckle plants, but steered clear of a few snakes in the water. Be sure to watch where you step. Check out Gunpowder Creek the next time you're looking for a unique nature hike with a bit of a challenge. You won't be disappointed.

Only downside is the way back to the car is a 1/4 mile hill that will take your breath away if you are not in the best shape lol. Great fun park all around.

WORST EMPLOYEES EVER!!!! ZERO STARS!!! let me start off by…read moresaying, the park itself is nice. the lake is nice, the spots are nice. they dont have a dog park which majorly sucks, and theyre overflow parking is a joke, 4 spots. but other than that the park is fine. However, the employees are the rudest, pushiest, most argumentative people i have ever met at a campground. and it starts right from check in and never stops. theres one guy (we call him Rambo because he walks around with a gun acting like hes a tough ass) who insists on "helping" you back your camper into your spot, like we havent been doing this for 10years... and he screams at you and gets an attitude if you dont do EXACTLY what he says. ITS NOT NECESSARY RAMBO ! Get over yourself and leave the people to do their own parking. and second!! and this is a BIG ONE, we witnessed and recorded the 2 male employees literally tackling and wrestling a camper to the ground and holding him down, smashing his face in the rocks... all because he came to pick up a little cargo trailer after check out time, and apparently owed them more money. THERE IS NO GOOD REASON TO TACKLE YOUR GUESTS TO THE GROUND, EVERRRRR!!!!!!! and both the employees had weapons, Rambo with his gun, and Crocodile DunDee (as we called him) with his huge knife on his hip. (they didnt use the weapons at all, but still had them on their hips, completely unnecessary) cops came for hours after the incident and the camper is pressing charges against them. and that was just one situation that happened while we there. They called our buddy who staying there at the same time , screaming at him that they were having a tow truck sent out immediately to tow his camper out of there because he was a day late on rent. So he rushed home from work in the middle of the day to go to the office and handle it, only to find out that his rent wasn't due for another 4 days!!! and you think he got even a hint of an apology from anyone, NO! DO NOT STAY HERE, do not give these people your money!!! which by the way is only cash because they dont accept cards, and they make you pay everything up front with No Refunds, absolutely no exceptions. These owners/workers are crooks, theyre bullies, theyre rash and pushy and unapologetic. you couldnt pay me enough money to stay here again. ever. go somewhere else , anywhere else. especially if you work on the road, they seem to have a major problem with workers, like us. absolute trash, they should be embarrassed.
