My neighbor told me about two maids cleaning service as she has used them a few times when her apt needed a good cleaning and now I need them as my apt is empty after my tenant moved out . Personally I ain't cleaning zero and before I rent out my place to a new tenant , I want a top notch scrubbing of every nook and cranny of my place . Call them on Monday and Tuesday 2 ladies were inside doing the job . Rates are reasonable and from my inspection, very good job indeed. Place looks and smell nice and I bet all the germs are gone if there was any germs which I assume is normal . Now I can show the apt to potential new tenants . Overall good cleaning service company and they take their time getting the job done right . read more

Wow! While I didn't get a chance to meet the ladies that cleaned our apartment upon our move out, I can't say enough good things! They did an incredible job cleaning but also took it upon themselves to do things we didn't ask like take down our curtains. If I could give 6 stars I would. I absolutely will be using this business again!! read more

Here are the pros of my experience: the two cleaners arrived on time and with their own cleaning supplies. They also called me when they were done (after an hour and 20 minutes) to ask if they should wait for me to come back to visually inspect the work they did. Having hired many cleaning services in the past in Manhattan, I didn't think it was necessary. Here are the cons: They left the bathroom sink with toothpaste residue, dust on the base of a floor fan, left a table fan and noise machine running, and did not clean 1 of 4 burners (see attached). However, since I keep a tidy apartment my issue was not so much with their oversights, because it really seemed like they were in a huge rush. I attribute that to having a packed cleaning day at other residences, and I don't think they have control of that. My issue is with Christa, the owner/manager. Her manner over the phone and e-mail is lacking, and looking over her responses to people here on Yelp, it seems like it's not new. Instead of establishing a connection initially, she was officious and said I should temper my expectations because I scheduled a monthly clean, not a deep clean (this was because I asked about baseboards and vents being cleaned, and stated those were my priorities). When I emailed her my concerns she focused on excuses for the work not being to par, such as "The burner you showed in the picture looks very well used and would need stronger products that come with our deep clean and more time which comes with our deep clean. Even with those products and time, we would not be able to make it brand new." The pictures I have attached are of one burner that was cleaned and the other left filthy. Both burners had the same level of use and baked in oil and stains. However, rather than apologizing for the oversight by her staff, she chose instead to imply that I'd simply not invested enough money. I want to support local businesses rather than turn to the Manhattan services I've had in the past. However, cleaning services must be booming, because they don't seem to care very much that they've lost my business and I'd advise friends and family from turning to them as well. Shame on me for relying on other online reviews and not checking Yelp first. Consumer beware! read more

Note - owner called me as soon as she saw my review on Google Maps to tell me the team didn't see any glasses, and then I was asked how old the glasses were. I changed that review from two stars to one based on how the owner handled the situation. --- Cleaning was adequate, even if they moved the couch to unplug wires but then didn't clean under the couch they moved. But, there was damage. The problem was that they damaged a pair of eyeglasses by placing them lens-down on a shelf after dusting under them, then putting other things on top of them and pushing them to the back of the shelf, and the response from the company was "The team does not remember touching or moving them." So much for trusting that any damages will at least be acknowledged. Will not use this company again if they won't own up to mistakes. read more

We did a deep cleaning this past week and are so happy with the services, my husband and I keep commenting how clean it is to each other! Christa was helpful and reached out right after sending in my inquiry. She shared the information surrounding the deep cleaning and the pricing was very reasonable. It was nice to find a company that cleaned apartments as we had reached out to a few who pretty much told us that cleaning apartments weren't worth their time (molly maid). We will definitely use their services going forward to maintain the tranquility they helped us achieve in our small space and for giving us back hours for our weekends! read more

I just experience the "deep cleaning" and my house looks impeccably clean! I am looking forward to welcoming the Two Maids crew every other week. Thank you! read more

We had a team of three clean come to clean, two floors of the house. We found that that after cleaning they were many spaces that were not touched. They sent somebody later to clean those places that I mentioned. That night I found even more places that that were not clean. I sent pictures and videos to the owner. I got a message saying:why are you sending us photos and videos. 24 hour guarantee was up and they couldn't do anything more. As a customer I do not think I have to keep an eye on the crew that comes, you have to complete the job you were hired for. Also they broke one of the glass shelves in our Fresca vanity. read more

They showed up 45 minutes after I shared my disappointment about them flaking on their introductory service. They were nice enough but they cleaned my whole apartment with an oily rag! They come with their own equipment so the slime came from their own cleansers. My glass table was greasy & disgusting, as was my entire stainless steel kitchen. I had to Windex everything when they were gone. They also forgot to clean my bathroom sink. Afterwards they send a nice, warm, concerned-sounding survey to see if you were happy. They never contacted me so I could give them the opportunity to try & make it right, even after promising that they would. Edit: I never said they used dirty rags, they used OILY RAGS, as in rags covered in YOUR OWN OILY CLEANSERS. You used none of my products, so all the greasy film came from YOU read more

Very disappointed with this service (especially for the price I paid.) I couldn't believe they didn't clean obvious parts of my house - the coffee table (until I asked.) the ceiling fan, and under the couch. Looks like I'm not the only one that feels this way. The ladies were nice but when I explained my disappointment to the owner all I got was a "sorry" which definitely is not great customer service if you want to keep a client. Won't be using them again. read more

There was a fire in our building and we needed help cleaning our apartment. Krista sent Anna and Maria to my home and they cleaned the hell out of my apartment, including putting my kids toys away, cleaning the oven, disinfecting the walls, and I could go on. My apartment looked and smelled amazing when they were finished. Their attention to detail is outstanding. I will be calling Krista again to book. Oh and by the way...Krista is just as wonderful as her team! read more

I'm so glad we hired this company! Christa, the owner, communicates quickly. The pricing is very reasonable--less than other quotes I received. We had just moved into a new house and it needed a complete cleaning (new to us; it's quite old and "lived in"). Two lovely ladies from Two Maids and Mop arrived and scrubbed our place from top to bottom. They were incredibly thorough. At one point I walked into the kitchen and one woman was on a ladder scrubbing the hood of the stove, and the other was going to town on the interior of the fridge. The cleaned cabinets. They cleaned closets. They cleaned windows and blinds and floors and tile. The place is now spotless. I have high standards and I was very, very satisfied. My mom--a true neat freak--arrived a few days later to help us set up the new house, and even she was impressed with the cleanliness of the place. I really recommend this company! read more

The first thing on my to-do list once I sealed the deal on my co-op was to have it cleaned. It wasn't left in disarray, but it was empty for a while so there was a lot of dust and buildup everywhere. I figured before I started moving furniture in I would just have a service come in and clean it all so I can start with a (literally) clean slate. I didn't grow up in a household that had someone come in and clean, so I really wasn't an informed consumer in that regard. I researched other companies like Merry Maids and Molly Maids but their track record was spotty and their Yelp reviews were horrible. I actually found Two Maids by doing a Google search. What stood out was that their website was pretty thorough, and they had a cleaning service specific for moving into a new place. I decided to call and inquire. Two Maids is actually a franchise, they have a few locations throughout the country but the closest one in the NY metropolitan area is in White Plains. After going over the details and getting a quote from Christa (the operator of this specific franchise), I set up an appointment; two housekeepers met me at the specified time and they went to work. It took them about 3 to 3.5 hours to clean everything, and overall they were super thorough. Everything was spotless - they were friendly and really exceeded my expectations. I would definitely consider using Two Maids for any other cleaning matters I may need, and would have no qualms about recommending them to others. read more

While the two were on time, which was appreciated, there were too many obvious misses to conclude that this service deserves anywhere near five stars. ADDENDUM Lowered review from 2 to 1 star after alerting the owner to my concerns and receiving a note back that said, "For that I'll refund you $75. This will impact the employees pay and will make them not rush." The fact that she will punish her hard working employee rather than take accountability shows a true lack of proper customer service and loyalty to the people who do the work for her. #fail read more

I've lived in the area for about a year and a half and I am so sad I didn't call Two Maids as soon as we moved. We recently switched to Two Maids after a bad experience with another company and it has been life changing!! first of all, Christa, the owner, is super communicative and responsive. She emails the day before a cleaning as a reminder and an opportunity for any requests or changes. After the first 2 cleans my floors were slippery from the polish and she was easily able to suggest a fix that worked immediately the next time. I also love that we have the same cleaning crew each visit. Pam and Lexi are amazing and consistently go above and beyond to leave my house neat, sparkling clean and smelling incredible. When you walk in after they have been there you take a deep breath and it just smells clean and fresh. Cleaning day is the highlight of my week!! read more

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT use this company. Christa, the owner/manager, lacks in both customer service and common decency. As a recurring customer, on a biweekly schedule, she was not acommodating to changes in schedule (due to illness or other emergencies that arose). On the other hand, my cleaners almost NEVER came during the scheduled timeframe, which was always inconvenient for my schedule. That shows a lack of respect to the consumer that you do not hold yourselves accountable and to the same standards that you expect the customer to uphold. Furthermore, Christa's nasty attitude, lack of communication, and privileged attitude, were upfront and foremost in every interaction that I had with her. She would benefit from better processes, policies, implicit bias, and management training. The cleaners themselves were subpar, often missing very noticeable things such as dirt on the toilet bowl, hair in the shower drain, etc. The cleaners also shared that Christa lacks integrity and empathy as a leader/manager. They expressed low pay and horrible working conditions. When it comes to management, this is the lowest of the low. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with the service work of this company. It was my first time using a cleaning service, and I am glad that I went with Two Maids & A Mop. The ladies were friendly, personable, professional, and worked very hard within a 3-hr span (deep cleaning for kitchen, 2 bathrooms, dinning room, and living room). My family was also impressed when they came home from work to see the results of the cleaning. My only gripe is the price is slightly high even though other rooms initially included in the original agreed price were not cleaned. Was hoping for an adjustment. Best! C.M read more

They say the third time's a charm. That was not the case with two maids in a mop! The first time I hired the service, they arrived 2 1/2 hours late. I did not get an explanation nor did I get any type of an apology. I had plans, and I had to change them, as a result. The second time I hired this service, they broke something in my bathroom.. The third time they came, they left one of my windows full of streaks. But the worst of it was the bathroom floor: As is customary, I keep toilet a plunger next to the toilet. These items are very light weight. One would assume that when you clean a bathroom floor, you would move them out of the way. The maids mopped AROUND these items. I had to clean my bathroom floor myself after they had left. THIS SERVICE IS SUB PAR AND NOT CHEAP! Buyer beware! read more

I have had cleaning services throughout the years and this has been the worst. I thought I was getting a deep cleaning which I paid for. Their deep cleaning was a bad surface clean and to top it off they missed an entire floor. I do not recommend this company. When I reached out to complain and for a refund they said that they'd come back and clean it. Why would I do that? They should have done the job right the first time and they missed an entire floor. I asked for a refund and I have not heard back. So upset and dissatisfied. read more

worst customer service ever i only needed them to clean 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms but they wouldnt accept the job becasue she needed to know what other areas she needed to clean when the only areas needed were 2 beds and 3 baths. Horrible customer service they seem to not pay attention to detail then carried on to explain that she doesnt want to clean the house becasue she not able to clean the whole house. I think it should be placed inside of your description that you only clean full homes which is weird becasue who doesnt want to make money. read more

We have had Two Maids clean our two bed/two bath apartment, every two weeks, for a year now. They do a great job and are easy to work with. When we started the service, the owner visited the first time to have a look at the place herself so she could get a better idea of our cleaning needs. As with any recurring service, there have been times we have had to reschedule, and they have been very flexible in working to accommodate changes. They are also very receptive to feedback - when we let them know that something needed to be cleaned better, or something different needed to be done, they responded positively and changed for later cleaning visits. read more

I got a deep cleaning from this company. They did a great job in the bathrooms. Maybe my expectations were too high but it seems that they cleaned around most furniture instead of cleaning under it. First let me start by saying that Christa and the ladies she sent were all very pleasant. Christa responded to my emails quickly and the cleaning ladies she sent were hard working and friendly. The rating I've given is a reflection on the amount of time that was allotted to get the job done. I called this service in to deep clean the kitchen and one and a half bathrooms of a house I just purchased. When I spoke with Christa I explained that the house had been vacant for two years and need a thorough scrubbing from top to bottom, inside and out of everything. Two ladies arrived on time and split up to work on the kitchen and half bathroom. About an hour and forty-five minutes into the job they informed me that they had to leave in 15 minutes to make it to their next appt. At this point one of the ladies was about done with the kitchen but and the other had only been working on the full bath for about 15 min. F I had known I was going to only be allotted two hours, I would have requested and paid for more time. Needless to say I barely had time to look through the areas before they rushed out. When I walked through the rooms I noticed the pantry was not touched, it is still covered in dust and dirt, inside and out. The full bath was not as thoroughly cleaned as the half even though the vanity did not have to be cleaned since it is new. This is added to the fact that one of the ladies accidentally broke a glass shelf, my tiled toilet paper handle and a corner of the toilet tank cover. I assumed the latter two could be fixed, but they cannot and will have to be replaced. I can only assume this was as a result of rushing. Bottom line, be sure to ask how much time you will be allotted before booking. read more

I got the deep cleaning package, it was more of a light dusting cleaning. The house wasn't super clean at the end, tons of dust bunnies under radiators and corners, and hairs in the bathroom. Plus the salesperson kept trying to raise the price from what I was given on the phone. Two stars only because they showed up on time and didn't break anything. read more

The first time I used this service they spent nearly double the time cleaning what they claimed it would take to clean our house. The couch cushions were flipped w the zipper outward on BOTH of our couches, photos were completely out of order, one actually flipped backwards! I called again to give them a second chance, she claimed one of the women were new at the time and we wouldn't have any more issues. I scheduled the service for 2 weeks out bc that's all they had for a Friday cleaning. They were suppose to arrive this Friday morning, it occurred to me we never got a confirmation like we did the last time so i gave the women a call. She said she made a mistake and forgot to put us on the schedule... UNACCEPTABLE! Because this was the 2nd offense, I will not be using them again nor would I recommend them! read more

We needed a cleaning service after a couple moved out of a 2 bedroom unit in our 4 family home. We called on a Sunday and got a call back in 20 minutes. They gave me a firm, reasonable price over the phone, and we arranged for the job to be done ASAP. Two Maids and a Mop supplied their own cleaning products, something others did not. They did a great job cleaning, the place is sparkling. I will be calling them again. read more

Avoid like the plague! They charged over 80% more than the quoted price I agreed to, then Christa got really nasty when I addressed it with her and refused to return the difference. I had used their service periodically for over two years and an 80% price increase for the same cleaning without so much as mentioning it beforehand came as quite a shock. I'm a single mother and am on a tight budget and never would have agreed to it - she knew that, which is why she chose not to tell me and just charge my card she had on file. Very shady. Also, a while back she bribed me with a free cleaning if I'd leave a positive review on Facebook and Google, which I did. I'm sure I'm not the only one - in fact, most of the good reviews you see were probably incentive-based. The service they provide is no better or worse than other cleaning services - some of the women do a good job, some don't. Christa will send you the good ones at first, then once you sign up for regular cleanings she'll tell you they're not available. My reviews keep mysteriously disappearing - hope at least I save a few people some grief and money before this one does too! read more
